A.Y. 2026/27. Applicants need a Bachelor's degree, a three-year university diploma or a foreign qualification recognised as suitable (one that gives access to a similar second-cycle programme in the issuing country). Curricular requirement: a degree in class L-41 Statistics or L-33 Economics (D.M. 270/04), class 37 Statistics or 28 Economics (D.M. 509/99), or a pre-reform four-year degree in Economics and Business or Statistics; or a first-cycle degree in another class with at least 24 ECTS in mathematics, probability, statistics, economics and business (SECS-S/01-06, SECS-P/01, 02, 03, 05, 07, 08, 09, 11, MAT/02, 03, 05, 06, 07, 08, 09), including at least 6 ECTS in probability and statistics (SECS-S/01-05, SECS-P/05, MAT/06) and at least 10 ECTS in mathematics (SECS-S/06, MAT/02, 03, 05, 07, 08, 09). Foreign qualifications are assessed by the committee. Applicants who have not yet graduated may apply but must graduate by 31 December 2026. Adequate personal preparation is then verified by the committee (see entry test).

A.Y. 2026/27: English at least CEFR B2, proven at the application stage. Accepted proofs: a certificate from the University of Bologna Language Centre (CLA) or another university language centre, or a TOEFL, ISE, IELTS (IELTS Online and Academic Online are not accepted), Cambridge English or Trinity College London certificate, all issued no more than 3 years before the application deadline; a B2-level English exam in the Bachelor's study plan; the Unibo OOPT English test with at least B2; a degree taught entirely in English; or being a native English speaker. Whatever the proof, every applicant must complete Form G (declaration about English knowledge) and attach supporting documents; a declaration without supporting documents may be considered incomplete. English proficiency also counts for up to 5 of the 100 evaluation points.

Sınav / değerlendirme

A.Y. 2026/27: no written entrance test or interview; open access with a titles-based check of personal preparation by a committee using the documents uploaded: academic merit (length of studies, marks and credits in the relevant areas, final grade if already graduated) up to 45 points, relevance/consistency of the academic background up to 50 points, English proficiency (B2 required) up to 5 points. Applicants scoring 60/100 or more are admitted (no ranking or place limit); below 60 they cannot enrol and cannot reapply in a later intake of the same year. GRE/GMAT are not required but may be attached as optional supporting documents.

• Front and back copy of a valid identity document; if you are a foreign citizen and your ID has no English translation, a copy of your passport.

• Qualification: University of Bologna graduates/undergraduates select the self-certification proposed by Studenti Online; other Italian universities: self-certification of the first-cycle degree with the list of exams (undergraduates: self-certification of exams taken); foreign qualification: copy of the degree giving access to second-cycle programmes, translated into Italian or English, with transcript of records and Diploma Supplement where available (undergraduates: transcript of records).

• Proof of English at B2 level declared in Form G (declaration about English knowledge), with supporting documents attached.

• Form H (declaration about first application at Quantitative Finance).

• Curriculum vitae in English using the programme's CV Form.

• Details of the course units passed, entered in the online application (applicants with a qualification from another Italian university or from abroad).
