- Akademik Koşullar
- Applicants need a first-cycle degree or another qualification obtained abroad that is recognised as suitable and gives access to a comparable second-cycle programme. Curricular requirements are met either by holding a degree in one of the Italian classes L-32 Environmental sciences, L-13 Biology, L-34 Earth sciences or L-25 Agriculture and Forestry, or by having at least 36 ECTS distributed as follows: at least 12 ECTS in mathematics, informatics, statistics and physics (MAT/01-09; INF/01; ING-INF/05; SECS-S/01-02; FIS/01-08), at least 6 ECTS in chemistry (CHIM/01/02/03/06/12), and at least 18 ECTS in biology and earth sciences (BIO/01-19; GEO/01-12). Applicants who have not yet graduated may apply, but the degree must be completed by 2026-12-31.
- Dil Koşulları
- English at CEFR B2 is required. The requirement can be met by submitting a recognised certificate listed on the programme website or by taking and passing the University of Bologna online Oxford English proficiency test published on the programme admission page. The 2026 test sessions published on the official programme page are 2026-03-19/20, 2026-04-16/17, 2026-05-07/08, 2026-06-24/25/26, and 2026-07-16/17, with advance booking by email to the programme office.
- Sınav / Test
- There is no fixed written entrance exam. Admission is subject to verification of personal competencies and skills through evaluation of the submitted documents, with a focus on mathematics, statistics, physics, chemistry, biology, ecology and economics. If needed, the committee may invite the candidate to an online interview after the application deadline; only candidates who need an interview are contacted.

- Qualification required for admission: Unibo self-certification, self-certification from another Italian university, or official degree documentation.
- For a foreign qualification: copy of the qualification translated into Italian or English, with transcript of records and Diploma Supplement where available; if not yet graduated, the transcript of records/list of exams taken.
- Proof of English language competence at CEFR B2 as required by the programme.
- Curriculum vitae.
- Copy of a valid residence permit, if already held.
