ACMA (Italian-taught curriculum): intakes are limited by the applicant's qualification, not by residence
Intake 1, from 3 June 2026 to 13 July 2026, 23:59, is the only ACMA intake open to holders of non-EU qualifications (Intakes 2 and 3 accept only EU qualifications). After admission, visa applicants pre-enrol on Universitaly and apply for a study visa (no separate Universitaly date is given on the programme pages)
Applicants need a three-year degree or suitable foreign qualification. Officially listed Italian degree classes are L-1 Cultural Heritage, L-10 Humanities, L-42 History, and L-43 Diagnostics for Cultural Heritage Conservation. Applicants from other classes can qualify with 24 CFU, including at least 10 CFU in archaeology-related SSDs and the remaining 14 CFU in those SSDs or related areas such as Greek and Roman history, ancient Near East history, medieval history, Greek and Latin language and literature, anthropology, topography and cartography, restoration, applied physics for cultural heritage, geology, applied geophysics, environmental chemistry for cultural heritage, and ethnography/anthropology. Foreign qualifications are assessed by the committee on academic background. Applicants may apply before graduating if only the final examination is missing, but the degree must be obtained by 31 Aralık 2026.

A.Y. 2026/27. ACRA curriculum (English-taught): English at CEFR level B2 or higher for all candidates (Italian, EU and non-EU), proven at the application stage by uploading in Studenti Online a recognised certificate issued from 1 January 2023 onwards; applicants to more than one intake must upload it with each application. Recognised certificates (programme list): British Council Aptis ESOL (General or Advanced) B2 or higher; Cambridge FCE (B2) or CAE (C1); IELTS 5.5 or higher; TOEFL iBT 72 or higher; PTE Academic from GSE 50 (PTE Academic Online not accepted); Pearson English International Certificate B2 or higher; Trinity College London ISE II or ISE III (all four modules); Oxford Test of English B2; LanguageCert International ESOL B2 or higher; Gatehouse Award B2 or higher; self-certification of an English B2 (or higher) pass at the University of Bologna Language Centre or another Italian university language centre. Alternatives: self-declaration of native English speaker, or a certificate stating that the Bachelor's or Master's degree was taught in English. ACMA curriculum (Italian-taught): no English requirement at admission; non-EU applicants residing abroad must meet the Italian language requirement (Italian language certificate) by 19 November 2026.
No written entrance exam is stated. For applicants from Italian institutions, personal preparation is automatically adequate with a final grade of at least 95/110 or, for graduating students, a weighted average of at least 25.78/30. Applicants with foreign qualifications are assessed on academic background and may be invited to an MS Teams interview. For the ACRA call, candidates not admitted in one intake cannot join later intakes in the same academic year.

Intake rules differ by curriculum: ACRA Intake 3 is open only to European candidates, while ACMA Intakes 2 and 3 are limited to holders of EU qualifications.
ACMA Intake 3 results are due by 17 November 2026, after the ordinary matriculation deadline of 29 October 2026 (late matriculation with a fee runs until 19 November 2026); applicants admitted in that intake should check with the university how to matriculate.
