• A.Y. 2026/27. One of the following qualifications: (1) an Italian five-year upper secondary school diploma (including teacher-training and art high schools with the one-year supplementary course) or a four-year pilot diploma from a school admitted to the national four-year secondary-school trial
• (2) an Italian four-year upper secondary diploma from a school where the supplementary year is not active - in this case a specific additional learning requirement must be completed at the University of Bologna by 31 March 2028, otherwise the student is enrolled again in the first year as a repeating student
• (3) a qualification obtained abroad after twelve years of schooling that gives access to university and to the chosen type of degree programme in the country that issued it, according to the MUR rules for international students. Applicants may apply before obtaining the qualification, but the qualification and any required integration must be obtained by 31 December 2026, otherwise the enrolment is cancelled. Applicants must also have taken the Digital SAT (see entry test).

A.Y. 2026/27: good English proficiency at least at CEFR B2 is required. It is verified at the same time as the SAT (the admission test is in English), so the call does not ask for a separate English certificate.

Digital SAT. Candidates must complete the SAT before applying, and official scores must be sent by the College Board to the University of Bologna using code 6993. The minimum eligible SAT score is 1100. Applicants with less than 500/800 in the Math section receive an OFA to complete by 31 Mart 2028.
