- Applicants need a first-cycle degree or equivalent foreign qualification recognized as suitable for second-cycle admission. The programme accepts Italian classes L-2 Biotechnologies, L-13 Biological Sciences, L-29 Pharmaceutical Sciences and Technologies, and LM-41 Medicine and Surgery, plus the corresponding previous-system classes and other four- or five-year degrees recognized as suitable by the Degree Programme Committee. Applicants who have not yet graduated may apply, but they must obtain the degree by 2026-12-31. The Admission Committee also checks whether the applicant has completed at least 3 CFU/ECTS or 24 lecture hours in each of six fields: Human Anatomy and Histology, Biochemistry, Cellular and Molecular Biology, Human Physiology, Human Genetics, and Immunology and General Pathology.

- English proficiency at CEFR B2 or higher is required during the application phase. The call accepts several proofs, including IELTS 5.5+, Cambridge B2 First grade C or higher, TOEFL iBT 80+, Trinity ISE II, a University Language Centre certificate at B2 or higher, a degree or school qualification taught in English, recognized exchange-study evidence, further equivalent documented experiences assessed by the Committee, or the University of Bologna CLA Oxford Placement Test. The candidate must possess the certificate or supporting documentation by the intake registration deadline.
- Sınav / Test
- The Admission Committee verifies the six required subject fields. Applicants with qualifying exams in all six fields are admitted directly. Applicants with qualifying exams in four or five fields must take an online interview in English, with two questions for each missing field, and pass with at least 21/30. Applicants with qualifying exams in three or fewer fields are not admitted.

- Front and back copy of a valid identity document; if the document has no English translation, a copy of the passport.
- Proof of the qualification required for admission: Unibo self-certification, self-certification from another Italian university with list of exams, or foreign qualification translated into Italian or English with transcript of records and Diploma Supplement where available.
- For applicants who have not yet obtained the foreign qualification: a transcript showing the exams taken, the ECTS credits or lecture hours for each activity, the full curriculum, and the total number of years of enrolment.
- Certification of English-language knowledge at CEFR B2 or higher.
- Academic-curriculum declarations showing, for each required field, the exams taken and the related CFU/ECTS credits or contact hours.
- For matriculation with foreign qualifications: the required foreign-qualification documents, plus a valid residence permit proving EU-equivalent status or an entry visa for study purposes, depending on the candidate's status.
