A.Y. 2026/27. Qualification: an Italian upper-secondary diploma after five years of study (or a 4-year specialist diploma; a 4-year diploma without supplementary year brings an additional learning requirement to be met by 31 March 2028), or a foreign qualification obtained after at least twelve years of schooling that gives access to a similar degree programme in the issuing country; it may still be obtained after applying but must be held by 31 December 2026. Admission is by ranking in one of three selections: first selection and extraordinary selection with the CISIA TOLC-E in Italian (the English TOLC-E is not accepted), minimum weighted score 8/36 (Mathematics, Logic and Verbal understanding weight 1; the English section is not counted), plus proof of English at B2; second selection with the SAT, minimum 500/800 in the Reading and Writing section, ranked on the total SAT score. Admitted candidates with a TOLC-E standardised score below 3.5 in the Mathematics and Logic sections, or below 250/800 in SAT Math, receive an additional learning requirement (OFA) to be met by 31 March 2028.

English proficiency at CEFR B2 is required for the first and extraordinary selections; candidates must upload either a CLA-recognized B2 certificate issued from 1 Şubat 2023 onward or a declaration that the upper-secondary or higher qualification is or will be completed in English by 31 Aralık 2026. The second selection uses the SAT, which is taken in English.

A.Y. 2026/27. Two test routes, ranked separately. (1) First selection (applications 3 February - 29 April 2026, 13:00) and extraordinary selection (4 August - 11 September 2026, 13:00): CISIA TOLC-E in Italian - the English TOLC-E is not valid - taken between 1 January 2025 and 28 April 2026 (first selection) or 10 September 2026 (extraordinary selection); in person (TOLC@UNI), TOLC@HOME accepted only for candidates in the quota for non-EU citizens residing abroad; minimum weighted score 8/36 (Mathematics, Logic, Verbal understanding weight 1, English section 0), together with a B2 English certificate uploaded by the application deadline. (2) Second selection (30 April - 3 July 2026, 13:00): SAT taken from 1 February 2024, official score report sent by College Board to Unibo (code 6993) and received by 3 July 2026; minimum 500/800 in Reading and Writing, ranking on total SAT score divided by 10. Ties go to the younger candidate. OFA if TOLC-E standardised score below 3.5 in Mathematics and Logic or SAT Math below 250/800. Application fee EUR 20.

• Upper secondary-school qualification valid for access to university studies in Italy, or an equivalent foreign qualification; it may be completed by 31 Aralık 2026.

• For the first and extraordinary selections: a B2 English certificate recognized by the University Language Centre, or a declaration that the secondary-school or higher qualification is or will be completed in English by 31 Aralık 2026.

• For foreign qualifications at matriculation: the qualification diploma uploaded in the dedicated Studenti Online document-upload call.

• For non-EU citizens with EU-equivalent status: a valid residence permit proving the status; for non-EU citizens residing abroad: a copy of the study visa.
