A.Y. 2026/27: a Bachelor's degree or three-year university diploma, or a recognised equivalent qualification obtained abroad (for applicants without an Italian qualification the evaluation Committee assesses the application). Curricular requirements: (a) a degree in class L-13 Biological sciences, L-27 Chemical sciences and technologies, L-30 Physical sciences and technologies, L-32 Sciences and technologies for the environment and nature, L-34 Geological sciences, L-43 Diagnostics for the conservation of cultural heritage, L-Sc.Mat Materials science, or the single-cycle LMR/02 Conservation and restoration of cultural heritage; or (b) a degree in class L-1 Cultural heritage, L-7 Civil and environmental engineering, L-9 Industrial engineering, L-17 Architecture sciences or L-23 Sciences and techniques of building, plus at least 18 CFU in the areas Physics (ex FIS), Chemistry (ex CHIM), Earth sciences (ex GEO) and Biology (ex BIO) and/or the sectors IIND-07/B (ex ING-IND/11), IIND-03/C (ex ING-IND/21), IMAT-01/A (ex ING-IND/22), ICHI-01/A (ex ING-IND/23), ICHI-02/B (ex ING-IND/27), ARTE-01/D (ex L-ART/04), CEAR-11/B (ex ICAR/19), ARCH-01/G (ex L-ANT/10), PHIL-02/B (ex M-STO/05). Applicants who do not meet all the curricular requirements cannot enrol. Applicants not yet graduated may apply with at least 140 ECTS/CFU; if admitted, the degree must be obtained by 31 December 2026, otherwise the enrolment is cancelled. A.Y. 2026/27: English at CEFR level B2 or higher, fulfilled during the application phase through one of: a suitable certificate from the list recognised by the University of Bologna Language Centre (CLA 'recognition of language proficiency' page); a degree obtained in English; English proficiency obtained in other academic cycles; being a native speaker. Proof is a certification or a self-certification, depending on the case, uploaded with the application. Italian: not required for admission, but basic knowledge of Italian is needed to complete the programme because one of the mandatory activities of the second year is held in Italian (the CLA offers Italian courses at A2, B1 and B2 levels).

Sınav / değerlendirme

There is no separate written entrance exam in the official sources reviewed. The admission board first checks curricular requirements and then evaluates personal preparation. Applicants with a final graduation mark of at least 100/110, or equivalent, are deemed to have adequate preparation automatically. Other applicants are assessed on the basis of their CV and may be asked to attend an online interview focused on physics and/or chemistry if the board needs further verification.
