Bio-demografico and Economia e impresa curricula (taught in Italian, TOLC-E): first selection 3 March - 29 April 2026, 13:00; second selection 30 April - 13 July 2026, 13:00; extraordinary selection 9 - 18 September 2026, 13:00 (it was held, with 21 places for Italian, EU and equivalent candidates). All 2026/27 windows are closed; the 2027/28 calls are not published yet.

Stats and Maths curriculum (taught in English, SAT): non-EU citizens residing abroad in their reserved quota (10 places) may apply only in the first intake, 10 February - 4 May 2026, 1:00 pm; non-EU citizens residing abroad who compete with EU candidates may apply in every intake (second intake 5 May - 3 July 2026, 1:00 pm; the third intake was not held). Bio-demografico and Economia e impresa curricula (taught in Italian, TOLC-E): non-EU citizens residing abroad in their reserved quota (10 places) may apply only in the SECOND selection, 30 April - 13 July 2026, 13:00, and must also meet the Italian-language requirement (Unibo Italian test passed by 9 July 2026 or Italian certificate submitted by 6 July 2026); non-EU citizens residing abroad who compete with EU candidates may apply in all selections (3 March - 29 April 2026, 30 April - 13 July 2026, 9 - 18 September 2026, all 13:00) and must submit an Italian-language certificate by 20 April 2026 for the first selection, 6 July 2026 for the second selection or 7 September 2026 for the extraordinary selection. Visa applicants must also pre-enrol on Universitaly; no programme-specific Universitaly date is given.

  • A.Y. 2026/27 (programme 6661 has one English-taught curriculum and two Italian-taught curricula, each with its own call). Qualification for all curricula: Italian five-year upper-secondary diploma (or four-year experimental diploma; a four-year diploma without supplementary year brings an additional learning requirement to be met by 31 March 2028) or a foreign secondary diploma obtained after at least 12 years of schooling that gives access to university in the issuing country; it may be obtained after applying but must be held by 31 December 2026. Stats and Maths curriculum (English, 40 places): ranking on the SAT (tests taken from 1 February 2024; ranking score = total SAT / 10, out of 160), no minimum score to be ranked
  • OFA if the SAT Mathematics section is below 400/800. Bio-demografico and Economia e impresa curricula (Italian, 120 places): ranking on the TOLC-E in Italian (Mathematics, Logic, Verbal comprehension weight 1
  • English section not counted), minimum 12/36 in the first and second selections; for the extraordinary selection the bando sets a minimum of 4/36 while the Italian enrolment page says no minimum is required

Language requirements differ by curriculum. For the Italian-taught Bio-demografico and Economia e impresa curricula, candidates must meet the University of Bologna Italian-language requirement and the English section included in the TOLC-E is used as self-assessment only. For the English-taught Stats and Maths curriculum, a good level of English equal to at least CEFR B1 is required and is verified during the SAT-based admission process, which is entirely in English.

Bio-demografico and Economia e impresa curricula (taught in Italian): CISIA TOLC-E in Italian (the English TOLC-E is not accepted), in person (TOLC@UNI) in 2025 or 2026, TOLC@CASA accepted only for the non-EU-residing-abroad quota; minimum weighted score 12/36 in the first and second selections; extraordinary selection minimum 4/36 according to the bando, while the programme's Italian enrolment page says no minimum score is required
  • OFA if the TOLC-E Mathematics section is below 4.5. Application fee EUR 20.

  • For the Stats and Maths curriculum: the official SAT score report received by the University of Bologna by the relevant deadline.

  • Copy of a valid identity document or passport.

  • For candidates with foreign qualifications: the academic qualification documents must be uploaded in the dedicated Studenti Online procedure; non-EU candidates must also upload the relevant residence permit for EU-equivalent status or the residence permit for study purposes after enrolment, as applicable.

The programme page lists the degree overall as 'Restricted access - TOLC-E (160 places available)', the Italian call covers the Bio-demografico and Economia e impresa curricula with 120 places, and the separate English Stats and Maths call uses SAT with 40 places.
