A.Y. 2026/27, non-EU applicants requiring a visa: online application on the University of Parma Admissions Portal (apply.unipr.it) from 15 January 2026 to 6 April 2026 [uncertain: the Parma 2026/27 administrative-deadlines annex gives the international open-access Master's intake as 15 January - 7 April]. Parma also ran a possible additional intake from 4 to 26 June 2026 for some programmes only, on request [uncertain whether this programme had it]. Universitaly pre-enrolment for the visa (open-access programmes): by 15 July 2026 per the Parma annex. The 2026/27 windows have closed; the 2027/28 call is not published yet (the 2026/27 call was announced on 22 December 2025).

A.Y. 2026/27 (University of Parma rules): a Bachelor's degree (undergraduate diploma or higher) or an equivalent foreign qualification, with adequate basic knowledge of food technology, food microbiology, food chemistry, primary production and human nutrition, and English at B2. Curricular requirements and personal preparation are both verified before enrolment: holders of Italian qualifications that meet the programme's conditions are admitted without restriction; all other cases, including foreign degrees, are assessed by a special Admission Commission.

Accepted proof: FCE or CAE, IELTS 5.5+ or TOEFL 69+; recognised certifiers: Cambridge English Language Assessment, City and Guilds (Pitman), Edexcel / Pearson, EDI (LCCIEB), IELTS, Trinity College London, TOEFL (ETS). Exempt: native speakers and holders of a previous qualification taught in English (official letter from the previous university stating the language of the degree). Italian is not required for admission; students of English-taught programmes must pass an Italian language competency test before graduation.
