- Applicants must hold a first-cycle degree, a three-year university diploma, or an equivalent foreign qualification recognised as suitable. The programme accepts Italian first-cycle degrees in cluster L-8 under D.M. 270/04 or cluster 9 under D.M. 509/99, or equivalent earlier-system degrees. Applicants must also have at least 9 CFU in at least two of ING-INF/01, ING-INF/02, and ING-INF/03, and at least 36 CFU overall across three groups with a minimum of 9 CFU in each group: mathematics subjects (MAT/02, MAT/03, MAT/05, MAT/06, MAT/08, MAT/09), science subjects (CHIM/07, FIS/01, FIS/03, MAT/07), and computing subjects (ING-INF/05, INF/01). Foreign qualifications are accepted if deemed suitable by the Evaluation Board. Graduating students may apply with at least 150 CFU carrying marks. Adequate preparation is automatically met for graduates with a final grade of at least 85/110; graduating students must have at least 150 ECTS with marks and a CGPA of at least 22/30. For foreign qualifications, the same thresholds apply where grades and credits can be converted; otherwise the Degree Board assesses the prior career case by case.

- Applicants must demonstrate English proficiency at CEFR B2 or higher. Accepted proofs listed by the programme are IELTS 5.5 or above, TOEFL PBT 507-557 / CBT 180-217 / iBT 80-99, Trinity ISE II, Cambridge First Certificate, LanguageCert International ESOL, Cambridge CAE, Cambridge CPE, Pearson PTE, and a B2 curricular suitability certificate obtained at the University of Bologna Language Centre or another Italian university. The requirement is also deemed fulfilled for applicants who completed a university degree fully taught in English lasting at least two academic years (120 ECTS) in an EU or EEA country, the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, or Switzerland, provided the transcript clearly states English as the medium of instruction. Medium-of-instruction certificates from universities outside that list are not accepted.
- Sınav / Test
- No separate written entrance examination is published. Admission is open access but conditional on committee assessment of the submitted documentation and the adequacy of prior preparation. Graduates meeting the stated grade threshold are automatically adequate; otherwise the committee evaluates the academic career and relevant curricular background.
