Akademik Koşullar

Applicants must hold a first-cycle academic qualification, a three-year university diploma, or a suitable foreign qualification that gives access to a similar second-cycle programme. The accepted Italian degree classes are L-26 Food and Agriculture Science and Technology and L-38 Animal Production Zootechnics and Technologies under Ministerial Decree 270/2004, and L-20 Agricultural, Agrifood and Forest Sciences and Technologies and L-40 Animal Production and Zootechnical Sciences and Technologies under Ministerial Decree 509/1999. Applicants with a different bachelor's degree must have at least 30 CFU/ECTS in one or more of the following subject areas: veterinary anatomy, veterinary physiology, veterinary pathology, infectious diseases of domestic animals, parasitology and animal parasitic diseases, veterinary pharmacology and toxicology, livestock systems and genetics, animal nutrition and feeding, animal science, aquaculture/poultry/rabbit science, agricultural economics and rural appraisal, and biochemistry. Applicants who have not yet graduated may apply if they already hold at least 30 CFU in those sectors, but they must obtain the degree by 2026-12-31.

Dil Koşulları

English at CEFR B2 is required during the application phase. The call states that applicants can meet the requirement by submitting a recognised certificate listed by the University of Bologna Language Centre, by taking and passing the programme's English test on the dates published on the programme website, or by submitting a certificate of medium of instruction showing that a bachelor's degree or high-school diploma was taught in English. The programme's dedicated English-language page also states that applicants can meet the requirement with the University of Bologna's OOPT test, with dates on 2026-03-19/20, 2026-04-16/17, 2026-05-07/08, 2026-06-24/25/26, and 2026-07-16/17, or with a recognised certificate, and that a bachelor's degree or high-school degree taught in English is accepted. In addition, the programme how-to-enrol page states that candidates must also demonstrate Italian at CEFR B2 and that international students who do not meet the Italian requirement must include specific learning activities in their study plan aimed at reaching the required level.

Sınav / Test

There is no separate written entrance exam in the sources reviewed. A special committee evaluates the application dossier on a 100-point scale: academic merit up to 75 points, extra-academic activities relevant to the programme up to 10 points, up to two reference letters for up to 10 points, and English knowledge up to 5 points. Candidates with 60 or more points are admitted directly. Candidates with 50 to 59 points must take an online interview consisting of a brief thesis presentation and/or university knowledge of mathematics, chemistry, physics, domestic animal anatomy, animal physiology, pathology, infectious diseases, parasitology, pharmacology and toxicology, animal husbandry and breeding, nutrition, zoocultures, rural economy, and biochemistry. Candidates below 50, or failing the interview, are not admitted.
