- Applicants must hold a first-cycle degree, a three-year university diploma, or a suitable foreign qualification. The 2026/2027 curriculum calls list the following Italian reference areas under Ministerial Decree 270/04: L-05, L-07, L-08, L-09, L-14, L-16, L-18, L-29, L-30, L-31, L-33, L-35, L-36, L-40, L-41, LMG/01, LM-41 and LM-13. Graduating students may apply, but they must obtain the degree by 2026-12-31 to finalise enrolment. Admission also requires verification of adequate personal preparation by the admission committee. For both 2026/2027 curriculum calls, the committee assigns up to 70 points for academic merit and up to 30 points for coherence between the applicant's academic curriculum and the learning objectives of the chosen curriculum; applicants scoring below 60/100 are not admitted.

- English at CEFR B2 or higher is required. The 2026/2027 curriculum calls state that the requirement can be met by submitting a suitable certificate, by holding a first- or second-cycle degree attended entirely in English, by having passed a university English test at B2 level with the level clearly documented, or by self-certification of native-speaker status. The application section lists accepted proof including IELTS 5.5 or higher, Cambridge First with at least grade C, CAE, CPE, Cambridge English Certificate with at least 160 points, TOEFL iBT with at least 80 points, Trinity College London ISE II, and further accepted proofs listed in the call. Certificates must be no older than three years and uploaded within the deadline.
- Sınav / Test
- There is no separate written entrance exam in the 2026/2027 sources reviewed. Admission is open access but conditional on committee evaluation of the application documents. For both curricula, the committee evaluates academic merit and the coherence of the applicant's academic curriculum with the chosen curriculum's learning objectives; a minimum score of 60/100 is required for admission.

- Front and back copy of a valid identity document; if the identity document is from a foreign country and has no English translation, a copy of the passport.
- Proof of the qualification required for admission: University of Bologna self-certification, another Italian university self-certification of the degree and exams taken, or the foreign qualification document.
