- The programme has two curricula with separate 2026/2027 admission notices: the Italian-language curriculum Economia e Diritto and the English-language curriculum Law and Economics of International Finance. Both require a first-cycle degree, three-year university diploma, or another suitable foreign qualification. Standard qualifying degree classes include L-33, L-18, L-16, L-36 and L-41 under Ministerial Decree 270/04 and their earlier equivalents; applicants with another degree class may still apply if they have at least 42 ECTS in the listed legal, economics and statistics subject groups (including IUS, SECS-P and SECS-S sectors stated in the notices). Foreign qualifications are assessed for suitability by the committee. Applicants who are still graduating may apply, but the qualifying degree must be obtained by 2026-12-31.

- Language requirements are curriculum-specific. For the Italian-language curriculum Economia e Diritto, English at CEFR B1 is required at the time of application; accepted proof includes TOEFL iBT, Trinity ISE, IELTS, Cambridge English certificates, CLA certification, a first- or second-cycle degree taught in English, or an English B1 university exam whose level is explicitly documented. For the English-language curriculum Law and Economics of International Finance, English at CEFR B2 is required at the time of application; accepted proof includes TOEFL, IELTS, Cambridge, Trinity, a valid B2 certification or self-certification from an Italian university language centre issued within three years of the deadline, a degree entirely taught in English, a university B2 English exam with explicit level documentation, native-speaker status, or the Unibo OOPT route. For non-EU applicants to the Italian-language curriculum, the programme page also states that the University of Bologna Italian-language requirement must be met.
- Sınav / Test
- There is no separate written entrance exam for either curriculum. For Economia e Diritto, the committee evaluates academic merit up to 60 points and the CV up to 40 points; the adequacy of personal preparation is passed with an overall score of at least 60/100. For the Law and Economics of International Finance curriculum, the committee evaluates the titles submitted, including academic merit, CV and internationalisation-related elements, with a maximum of 100 points, and the candidate passes with at least 60/100. In both cases, the evaluation is dossier-based rather than an interview test.

- For a foreign qualification, a copy of the degree translated into Italian or English, with transcript of records and Diploma Supplement where available.
- English-language documentation at the required level for the relevant curriculum: B1 for Economia e Diritto or B2 for LEIF.
- Curriculum vitae in the format required by the relevant call.
- For the LEIF curriculum, transcript of records and any supporting documents in English; a cover letter may also be evaluated if submitted.
- Any additional academic qualifications or documents supporting the CV, when relevant.
- Residence-permit documentation where required for international applicants.
