- Applicants must hold, or obtain by 31 December 2026, a bachelor's degree or equivalent foreign qualification recognized as suitable by the University. The programme is open to graduates in L-2 Biotechnology, L-13 Biological Sciences, L-27 Chemistry, or L-29 Pharmaceutical Sciences and Technologies, as well as applicants with other degrees who have at least 40 ECTS in the listed BIO, CHIM, MED, and SECS-S scientific sectors. The manifesto states 180 credits are required for admission. For applicants with foreign qualifications, the academic record must make the relevant hours/credits clearly identifiable; otherwise the faculty evaluates additional career documents.

- English at B2 level is required. The programme page states that applicants without a valid language certificate may still be accepted if faculty members judge their English proficiency during the admission interview to be sufficient for all programme activities. The University page on accepted language certificates states that accepted certificates must be at the required level or higher, cover Reading, Writing, Listening, and Speaking, and be no older than 3 years at submission time, or 2 years for TOEFL.

- [uncertain] There is no centralized entrance exam. Admission is based on evaluation of the academic curriculum and an individual interview in English, held in person or online. The published scoring system is up to 25/100 for degree grade or weighted average, up to 10/100 for the curriculum of studies, and up to 65/100 for the interview, with a minimum admission score of 60/100. For non-EU visa applicants, the application page sets the online interview on 20 May 2026 at 9:30 a.m. For Italian and EU applicants, the application page says the interview date will be published later. The admission notice also says the board may request an interview and/or a written test, while the A.Y. 2026/2027 application page specifically schedules interviews.
