Applicants must hold, or obtain by 31 October 2026, a first-cycle degree of 180 ECTS awarded in Italy or abroad. They must show adequate competences in at least two of these fields: Political Science, Economics-Statistics, and Law. For applicants with an Italian first-cycle degree, this means at least 42 ECTS in one or more of the listed scientific-disciplinary sectors: Law (IUS/02, IUS/08, IUS/09, IUS/13, IUS/14, IUS/21), Economics and Statistics (M-GGR/02, SECS-P/01, SECS-P/02, SECS-S/01, SECS-S/03, SECS-S/04, SECS-S/05), and Political Science (SPS/04, SPS/07, SPS/08, SPS/09). The Admissions Board also checks strong personal competencies, academic performance, consistency with previous studies, relevant professional or other experiences, and career plans. The admission notice states that curricular requirements must be held by 25 August 2026 for EU/equivalent candidates and by 30 June 2026 for non-EU candidates applying for a visa.
English proficiency at CEFR B2 or higher is required. UniMi accepts: a valid B2-or-higher language certificate issued no more than three years before the application date and uploaded with the online application; or a SLAM-certified English level obtained during a University of Milan degree programme no more than four years before the application date, verified automatically; or the SLAM entry test. Applicants who do not submit a valid certificate, or whose previous SLAM certification is expired or invalid, must take the SLAM English entry test according to the official calendar. If they fail or miss that test without an accepted excuse, they must submit a UniMi-recognized language certificate through InformaStudenti by 10 September 2026 for this programme; otherwise they will not be admitted. No separate Italian-language entry requirement is stated for this master's programme.
A.Y. 2026/27: no entrance exam and no national, GMAT or GRE test. The Admissions Board (at least one teacher from each partner university) assesses personal competencies (1) on the basis of the candidate's academic performance and the consistency of the programme with previous studies, professional or other relevant experience and career plans, and (2) through a personal interview held exclusively remotely, for applicants who satisfy the curricular and English requirements; applicants selected for the interview receive a notification with the date, time and online platform. The admission notice's general clause (the Board 'may request an interview and/or a written test') refers to the 'Application' section of the programme website, and that section describes only the remote interview, no written test. Applicants without valid English proof must separately take the SLAM English entry test.
For applicants with an Italian qualification from another university: self-certification of degree/enrolment with exam records, including exams taken, grades, ECTS credits, and scientific-disciplinary sectors.
For graduating applicants with an Italian qualification: details of passed-but-not-yet-registered exams, exams still to be taken, and expected graduation date entered in the application.
For applicants with a foreign qualification at admission stage: Bachelor's degree (B.Sc. or equivalent) or degree-awarding certificate, in Italian, English, French, German, or Spanish.
For applicants with a foreign qualification at admission stage: Diploma Supplement or, alternatively, a transcript showing courses, marks, ECTS, academic field, and the grading system used by the awarding university.
For applicants with a foreign qualification at admission stage: passport or other valid identity document.
For final enrolment with a foreign qualification: Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) legalized or apostilled by the competent authorities of the country issuing the qualification, unless exempt from legalization/apostille by law.
For final enrolment with a foreign qualification: high school diploma.
For final enrolment with a foreign qualification: official Italian translation of the academic qualifications, unless the original documents are in French, English, German, or Spanish.
For final enrolment with a foreign qualification: Statement of Comparability issued by an ENIC-NARIC centre such as CIMEA, or Dichiarazione di Valore in loco (DOV) issued by the Italian Embassy; for Lisbon Convention countries, the Diploma Supplement or ARDI Correspondence Statement may replace the DOV and Statement of Comparability as stated in the admission notice.
For final enrolment with a foreign qualification: Italian tax code (codice fiscale).
For non-EU applicants: receipt of the residence-permit application or a valid residence permit.
For non-EU applicants residing abroad: receipt of the Universitaly pre-application and study visa.
