Akademik Koşullar
Applicants must hold, or obtain by 31 October 2026, a bachelor's/first-cycle degree in one of two background routes. Route 1: Biotechnology (L-2), Biology (L-13), Agriculture and Food Sciences (L-26), or Pharmacological Sciences (L-29), with at least 30 ECTS/CFU in biological areas and at least 18 ECTS/CFU across Genetics (BIO/18), Molecular Biology (BIO/11), and Biochemistry (BIO/10), with at least 6 ECTS in each of those three subjects. Route 2: Information Engineering (L-8), Computer Science (L-31), Physics (L-30), Mathematics (L-35), or Statistics (L-41), with at least 30 ECTS/CFU in computer science, information engineering, biomedical engineering, mathematics and/or statistics, including at least 6 ECTS in mathematics and at least 12 ECTS in INF/01, ING-INF/05, ING-INF/06, and/or SECS-S/01. Equivalent foreign degrees are accepted if the Teachers Council can identify the disciplines and credits; otherwise the candidate's academic records are examined in detail. Admission also requires adequate background knowledge in either genetics/molecular biology/biochemistry or computer science/information engineering/mathematics.
Dil Koşulları
English proficiency at B2 CEFR or higher is required. The admission call asks applicants to upload a B2 English certificate if they have one, while the programme page and manifesto state that in exceptional cases candidates without a valid certificate may still be admitted if the admission interview clearly demonstrates good English proficiency. Knowledge of Italian is not required for attendance or graduation. For the optional 3-credit activity 'Additional Language Skills: Italian', students without an Italian high school diploma or degree can satisfy the requirement with an Italian certificate at A2 level or higher, issued within the previous 3 years and uploaded through http://studente.unimi.it/uploadCertificazioniLingue, or by taking the one-time SLAM entry-level test; students below A2 must attend one or more 60-hour SLAM Italian courses and pass the final test.
Sınav / Test
Admission is by selection interview plus CV/academic-record evaluation. Eligible applicants are scored on a 100-point scale: up to 50 points for the applicant's resume/academic record and up to 50 points for the interview. The minimum score for admission is 60/100. For A.Y. 2026/2027, interviews for Italian and EU students are held online on 1 July 2026 at 9:30 a.m.; foreign non-EU students residing in Italy must also attend. Candidates must show a valid ID at the beginning of the interview. Non-EU candidates residing abroad and applying for a visa do not take the interview and are evaluated only on their previous first-cycle study programme/resume, up to 100/100. Ranking lists for EU and non-EU candidates are published together, but visa applicants compete within the reserved quota of 10 places.

Gerekli Belgeler

  • Curriculum vitae in English.
  • Diploma Supplement or official certificate(s)/transcript showing the awarded degree or current enrolment, passed exams, grades, and credits; accepted languages are Italian, English, French, Spanish, or German.
  • B2-or-higher English certificate, if available.
  • Passport personal-data pages or another valid identity document.
  • For applicants with qualifications obtained abroad: Bachelor's degree (B.Sc. or equivalent) or degree-awarding certificate.
  • For candidates who have not yet graduated: total credits obtained, average grade, exams taken and not yet recorded with their credits, exams not yet taken with their credits, and expected graduation date entered in the application.
  • Application receipt; the call states this is the only accepted proof of registration for the admission exam, and the payment receipt may also be requested.
  • To finalize enrolment with a foreign qualification: legalized or apostilled Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and high school diploma.
  • Official Italian translations of academic qualifications, unless the original documents are in English, French, German, or Spanish.
  • Statement of Comparability from an ENIC-NARIC centre such as CIMEA, or a Dichiarazione di Valore; for Lisbon Recognition Convention countries, the Diploma Supplement or ARDI Statement of Correspondence may replace the DOV/Comparability statement as specified by UniMi.
  • Italian tax code (codice fiscale).
  • For non-EU citizens: receipt of the residence-permit application or a valid residence permit.
  • For non-EU students residing abroad: Universitaly pre-enrolment receipt, study visa, request for residence permit, and any certificates of competence in Italian.

Belirsizlik Notları

  • No core programme field is missing after checking the official programme page, the A.Y. 2026/27 programme-specific admission call PDF, and the A.Y. 2026/27 manifesto PDF.
  • There is one official-source discrepancy for non-EU visa timing: the central UniMi international-enrolment page says visa applicants to Master's degrees must apply by 30 April 2026, while the BCG programme page and the programme-specific admission call state 29 May 2026 at 2:00 p.m. for the BCG admission application and 31 July 2026 for Universitaly pre-enrolment. The programme-specific call was prioritized.
  • The BCG call requires a B2 English certificate only 'if in possess' and allows interview-based assessment in exceptional cases; it does not itself list the accepted certificate families or validity period. The generic UniMi language-certificates page was used only to supply institution-wide upload timing and certificate-validity rules.
