Eligibility of foreign qualifications is approved by the Degree Course Council, and the degree/diploma certificate with the list of exams must be submitted and verified by the Evaluation Commission. 2) DIRECT-ACCESS CLASSES: Italian first-level degrees in classes L-2 Biotechnology, L-13 Biological Sciences, L-27 Chemical Technology Sciences, L-29 Pharmaceutical Technology Sciences (D.M. 270/04) or the equivalent D.M. 509/99 classes. 3) OTHER CLASSES / FOREIGN DEGREES - minimum curricular credits: at least 10 ECTS in at least one of MAT/01-MAT/09, FIS/01-FIS/08, INF/01
AND at least 18 ECTS in at least one of CHIM/01, CHIM/02, CHIM/03, CHIM/06, CHIM/08, CHIM/09, BIO/01, BIO/09, BIO/10, BIO/11, BIO/13, BIO/14, BIO/16, BIO/17, BIO/18, BIO/19. The Apply@UniTo window of 25 August - 8 September 2026 is called the fourth admission call in the Apply@UniTo calendar and the second application call for free-access postgraduate programmes on the UniTo international application page; the dates are the same.
The Apply@UniTo course page expresses the background requirement as at least 5 passed exams in listed subjects, while the programme site sets minimum credits (at least 10 ECTS in mathematics, physics or informatics and 18 ECTS in listed chemistry or biology subjects, with a tolerance of 15% or 5 ECTS); applicants should meet both.
The 50 places for non-European applicants residing abroad are a quota within an open-access programme; there is no overall limit on student numbers.
