Kampüs

Turin (Torino), Italy. Teaching seat: Torino. Department: Dipartimento di Scienze Economico-Sociali e Matematico-Statistiche (ESOMAS - Department of Economics, Social Studies, Applied Mathematics and Statistics). School: Scuola di Management ed Economia (School of Management and Economics).

Derece Sınıfı

LM-83 / LM-16

Kabul Tipi

Open access (accesso libero / 'course without restricted number of places' - apply.unito.it and en.unito.it both list access as 'Free'), BUT admission is not automatic: a documented admission application must be submitted within the published windows and is evaluated by a selection committee. In practice it is a curriculum-based (documents + possible interview) selection rather than a numerus clausus with a ranked entrance exam. There is no TOLC, no SAT and no written admission test. Applicants who meet all the automatic-admission thresholds are admitted directly; all others are assessed through an admission interview. International applicants (any citizenship holding a foreign degree) apply through the Apply@UniTo portal; applicants holding an Italian degree apply through separate domestic rounds on the programme's own site. A territorial cap exists only for one group: 50 places are reserved for non-European applicants residing abroad.

Kabul koşulları

Akademik geçmiş
  • A.Y. 2026/27. ENTRY QUALIFICATION: a first-cycle degree (bachelor's / Laurea Triennale) obtained after at least 3 years of university education, or an equivalent or higher title. Applicants who do not yet hold the degree may apply if they can obtain it no later than the final enrolment deadline (typically by the end of the following December).
  • QUANTITATIVE BACKGROUND (minimum prerequisite): previous studies must include at least 15% of credits (27 CFU for Italian degrees) in one or more of these areas: Mathematics (MAT/*), Statistics and Mathematical Methods for Decisions (SECS-S/*), Econometrics (SECS-P/05), Computer Science (INF/01, ING-INF/*). The credits may be cumulated over several previous studies (e.g. a bachelor's and a master's) and may include certified additional single exams. Applicants who do not meet this prerequisite should attend and certify individual courses in these areas before applying.
  • APPLY@UNITO SCREENING (foreign-degree applicants): all applicants who satisfy at least one of these criteria are considered: (i) first-cycle degree from an institution in the top 12.5% of the RePEc ranking of Economics departments; (ii) final grade of at least 9.5/10 of the highest possible grade (e.g. 105/110 for an Italian degree).

ENGLISH ONLY - no Italian language requirement (the degree is fully English-taught, so UNITO's CLIQ Italian B2 rule for Italian-taught programmes does not apply). Required level: B2 (Common European Framework) or above. Two official formulations: (1) the programme's own 'How to apply' page lists 'certificate of English knowledge equal or above B2 (Common European Standards)' among the requirements that must ALL be met for AUTOMATIC admission without interview; (2) apply.unito.it states under Language requirements: 'English - Your knowledge of the English language (at least B2 level) will be verified during the admission interview.' Read together: a B2 certificate is the documentary route to automatic admission, while applicants without such a certificate can have their English assessed in the admission interview instead. No specific certificate brand or minimum score (IELTS / TOEFL / Cambridge / Duolingo / PTE) is named on any official UNITO page for this programme, and no exemption list (e.g. for prior English-medium degrees or native speakers) is published. apply.unito.it's generic postgraduate documentation note confirms that 'English language certifications' are among the 'additional documents required by some specific postgraduate degree programmes'. [uncertain - no named certificate/score table and no published exemption rule; applicants should confirm with the programme which certificates are accepted]

Sınav / değerlendirme

A.Y. 2026/27. No written entrance exam and no standardised test (no TOLC, SAT, GMAT or GRE). A selection committee decides on the documented application. Applicants who meet every automatic-admission requirement (credit minimums, final mark of at least 105/110, subject averages of at least 27/30, English certificate at B2 or above) are admitted automatically. Applicants who do not satisfy all of them can be interviewed; the interview checks whether they understand the tools and background materials required to complete the programme, with particular emphasis on mathematics and statistics, and their motivation. Applicants who do not show up at the interview are not admitted; interviews can be held online. The Apply@UniTo page adds that English (at least B2 level) is verified during the admission interview. Optional, non-selective preparation: two intensive crash courses in Mathematics and Probability in the first two weeks of September, before classes start (not compulsory but highly recommended).

  • First-cycle (bachelor's) degree certificate obtained after at least 15 years of total schooling (EQF 6 / ISCED 6), all pages, with proof of authenticity; if not yet graduated: an official certificate of enrolment in the final year and an official score report (the degree must be obtained by the final enrolment deadline, typically the end of December)

  • Non-refundable EUR 60 application fee, paid within the call deadline (same amount for one or two programmes)

  • Applicants with an Italian degree do not use Apply@UniTo: they submit the online preliminary admission application on MyUniTo (type A) in the programme's rounds, attaching the documentation the programme specifies
