(1) Holders of a foreign qualification apply on Apply@UniTo (EUR 60 fee, up to two programmes): first admission call 25 November 2025 - 29 January 2026 (open to all applicants), and fourth admission call for open-access postgraduate programmes 25 August - 8 September 2026, reserved to Italians, EU/EU-equivalent citizens and non-EU citizens legally residing in Italy; both are closed for 2026/27. (2) Students of any citizenship who hold or are about to obtain an Italian degree pre-enrol on MyUniTo in one of three rounds: applications 27 April - 8 June 2026 (written test 7 July 2026, 2:30 p.m.), 6 July - 31 August 2026 (test 14 September 2026, 2:30 p.m.) and 5 October - 25 November 2026 (test 15 December 2026, 2:30 p.m.). Candidates may apply before graduating, but the degree must be obtained by 16 January 2027 according to the programme page (UniTo's general enrolment window for free-admission Master's runs from 23 July 2026 to 14 January 2027, 3 p.m.).

Non-EU citizens residing abroad (visa applicants) could apply on Apply@UniTo only in the first admission call for postgraduate programmes, 25 November 2025 - 29 January 2026 (EUR 60 non-refundable fee, up to two programmes); the later call for open-access Master's programmes (25 August - 8 September 2026) is reserved to Italians, EU/EU-equivalent citizens and non-EU citizens legally residing in Italy. 50 places are reserved for non-EU applicants residing abroad. Admitted visa applicants then had to submit the Universitaly pre-enrolment (one programme only) by 15 July 2026. The 2026/27 intake is closed for visa applicants.

The written test (multiple-choice and/or open questions) covers: fundamentals of informatics and structured programming; computer architecture, software and operating systems; computer networks, internet and protocols; relational databases (entity-relationship model, logical design, SQL). Candidates who document at least 25 CFU in mathematics (MAT/*) or computer science and engineering (INF/01, ING-INF/*), also across several degrees or single exams, do not take the written test. The interview also assesses English for candidates who have neither an English-taught degree, at least 1 CFU in English (L-LIN/12), nor a recognised certificate. 2026/27 written-test dates for the MyUniTo route (Italian-degree holders): 7 July, 14 September and 15 December 2026, 2:30 p.m.; Apply@UniTo applicants are told that a written and an oral test verify their preparation (no separate dates published). A suggested bibliography is published on the admission page. If gaps are found, the committee may give non-binding advice on elective credits or courses to attend.

All dates and requirements shown are for A.Y. 2026/27; the A.Y. 2027/28 admission dates are not published yet. In 2026/27 the only call open to non-EU applicants living abroad ran from 25 November 2025 to 29 January 2026.
The programme page says the degree must be obtained by 16 January 2027, while UniTo's enrolment page for free-admission Master's programmes closes enrolment on 14 January 2027 at 3 p.m.; the earlier date is the safe one.
The written-test dates shown belong to the procedure for holders of an Italian degree; for applicants with a foreign degree, Apply@UniTo only says that a written test and an oral test are held, without dates.
English: Apply@UniTo asks for a listed certificate no more than three years old, while the programme page also accepts an English-taught degree or at least 1 CFU in English (L-LIN/12) and otherwise tests English at the interview; the pages do not say whether these alternatives apply to Apply@UniTo applicants.
The minimum grade of 9/10 of the maximum (100/110 for an Italian degree) is stated only on the Apply@UniTo page, not on the programme's admission page or in the university catalogue.
The programme site still shows class 'LM-91' and code 1401M21; the 2026/27 university catalogue shows 'LM-91 R' (the reformed class) and code 1401M22.
UniTo's required-documents page marks a CV as mandatory for Master's applicants, while the Apply@UniTo 'Required documentation' page lists only a motivation letter.
Fees: the Apply@UniTo page still shows the A.Y. 2025/26 range (EUR 156 to 2,800 per year); the A.Y. 2026/27 fee rules are on the linked fee page.
