Entry qualification: a first-cycle diploma (Bachelor's / undergraduate degree) obtained after at least three years of university education, including degrees earned abroad. Specifically: a Bachelor's Degree in Italian class L-31 (Computer Science), or another first-cycle degree recognised as suitable. Minimum grade threshold: final degree grade equal to or exceeding 7/10 of the maximum possible grade (i.e. at least 70% of the maximum mark). Credit requirements: at least 48 ECTS/CFU in the INFO-01/A (Computer Science) and/or IINF-05/A (Computer Engineering) disciplinary sectors, AND at least 18 ECTS/CFU in the MATH (Mathematics) sectors (discrete and continuous mathematics). Adequate university-level background is additionally required in ALL of the following areas: (1) programming according to the main paradigms and languages; (2) computer architectures and operating systems; (3) computer networks and security; (4) databases and knowledge representation; (5) algorithms and data structures; (6) formal languages and compilers; (7) discrete and continuous mathematics. For foreign qualifications, correspondence with the relevant Italian disciplinary sectors is assessed on the basis of course content (syllabus). Personal preparation is verified through an oral examination, waived when the degree grade is at least 95% of the maximum. Places/quota: no restricted number for EU/EU-equivalent applicants (open access); 50 available places are reserved for non-European applicants residing abroad.
