Applications go to Università Vita-Salute San Raffaele (UniSR Admission Portal), not through Politecnico di Milano's MSc calls; the same dates apply to the EU quota and the non-EU quota, with separate rankings. First call (Rector's Decree 9851 of 15 December 2025): registration from 22 December 2025, 12:00 pm to 13 April 2026, 12:00 pm (Italian time); admission test 22 April 2026 (home-based, online proctoring); ranking within 15 days of the last session; place confirmed with a non-refundable EUR 1,000 advance payment by 15 May 2026; online enrolment 1 July 2026 (noon) - 20 July 2026 (noon); ranking scrolling from 21 July 2026. September call (Rector's Decree 10111/2026): registration closed on 28 August 2026 at 12:00 CEST according to the call, extended on the admissions page to 1 September 2026 at 12:00 (Italian time); test 5 September 2026 (home-based); enrolment from the ranking publication (within 15 days of the test) until 12:00 noon of the third working day after. Applicants with a non-Italian degree or attending a foreign university must register at least 5 days before the deadline, because their documents are evaluated before they can book the test. Test fee EUR 150 (non-refundable). Both 2026/27 windows have closed.

Non-EU citizens residing abroad (non-EU quota, visa applicants) follow the same UniSR calendar as EU applicants and compete for reserved places in a separate ranking: first call 10 of 50 places, registration 22 December 2025 - 13 April 2026, 12:00 pm (Italian time), test 22 April 2026, place confirmation (EUR 1,000 advance) by 15 May 2026, online enrolment 1-20 July 2026; September call 4 of 22 places, registration until 1 September 2026 at 12:00 (extended; the call says 28 August 2026 at 12:00 CEST), test 5 September 2026. Foreign-degree holders must register at least 5 days before the deadline. Visa route: after admission, pre-enrolment on Universitaly (validated by UniSR) and visa application at the Italian embassy/consulate; the UniSR calls give no programme-specific Universitaly date. National rule: visa applications for A.Y. 2026/27 by 30 November 2026 (for A.Y. 2027/28 by 31 October 2027). Both 2026/27 windows have closed.

Kabul koşulları

Akademik geçmiş: A.Y. 2026/27 (UniSR call, Art. 2.3-2.4 and 5-6). Degree obtained, or to be obtained by the Fall (autumn) session of A.Y. 2025/26, either (1) in one of the Italian classes L-2 Biotechnology, L-8 Information Engineering, L-13 Biological Sciences, L-31 Information Sciences and Technologies or LM-41 Medicine and Surgery, or (2) at least a three-year degree / minimum 180 ECTS including 21 credits in INF/01 and ING-INF/05, or 21 credits in BIO/09, BIO/13 and BIO/16. Candidates meeting neither condition are assessed by the Commission from their exam list and course syllabi before they can complete the test registration. Foreign degrees are assessed with the same criteria by the UniSR Admissions & Credential Evaluation Office (syllabi are checked when disciplinary sectors cannot be identified); the entry qualification is verified at enrolment. Ranking out of 40 points: admission test 60% (up to 24 points) plus academic career 40% (up to 16 points, proportional to the weighted average of bachelor exams: 0 points at 18/30, 16 points at 30/30 or more; 30 cum laude counts as 31); ties go to the younger candidate. The motivational letter is not evaluated.

Dil yeterliliği: A.Y. 2026/27 (UniSR call Art. 7.3). English at CEFR B2, required at enrolment (not at application): admitted candidates who confirmed their place must submit an official B2 certificate from a body recognised by UniSR; without it they cannot enrol and lose the place. UniSR minimum scores for the MSc in Health Informatics: Cambridge 160, IELTS 5.5, TOEFL iBT (old version) 72; TOEFL iBT is accepted only for certificates awarded until December 2025; other bodies on UniSR's list (e.g. LanguageCert, Password Skills Plus, British Institutes, Trinity College London, Oxford Test of English) are accepted at B2. Exemption: at least two consecutive years of college (university) entirely in English. No Italian requirement: the programme is taught entirely in English and Italian is not tested.

This is a joint degree of Università Vita-Salute San Raffaele (UniSR) and Politecnico di Milano; the admission details shown come from UniSR and are for A.Y. 2026/27. The A.Y. 2027/28 call for Health Informatics is not published yet (checked 27 September 2026); in the 2026/27 cycle the first call opened on 22 December 2025.
For the September 2026 call, the call document gives 28 August 2026 at 12:00 CEST as the registration deadline, while the UniSR admissions page says the deadline was extended to 1 September 2026 at 12:00 (Italian time).
The UniSR calls give no Health Informatics-specific Universitaly pre-enrolment date for visa applicants; only the national visa application deadline is shown.
UniSR accepts TOEFL iBT only for certificates awarded until December 2025; whether the new TOEFL iBT format is accepted is not stated.
Only the Italian version of the UniSR call has legal value; the English call is a translation for information.
Tuition is paid to UniSR: EUR 6,690 per year in three instalments for students enrolling in A.Y. 2026/27; the 2027/28 amount is not published yet.
