Kabul koşulları

Akademik geçmiş

A.Y. 2026/27 (Mechanical Engineering Teaching Regulations, identical for Milano Bovisa/Piacenza and Lecco on these points; the regulations apply to the year they refer to, and a new MSc admission model starts in 2028/29). A first-cycle degree (EQF level 6) or comparable qualification is required (Italian-degree applicants may apply as final-year students with 145 certified ECTS). Admission is decided by an Admissions Committee on the academic record: the CFU-weighted average of the bachelor exams must be at least the corrected admission threshold SC = S + 0.5 x (min(N, 8) - 3), where N is the time to the bachelor degree in years counted by half-years (e.g. 6 semesters = 3, 7 semesters = 3.5) and S depends on the bachelor: Polimi Mechanical, Aerospace, Energy or Industrial Production Engineering 23; other Polimi engineering bachelors 24; class L-9 Industrial Engineering from other Italian universities 25; other bachelors 27 (for the tracks FA5 Mechatronics for Manufacturing - Piacenza, FA6 Smart and Sustainable Industry and CC6 Sports Engineering - Lecco: 22 / 23 / 24 / 26). Applicants below the threshold may ask the Committee for reconsideration; documented exceptional circumstances (e.g. significant work experience, internships, study abroad, relevant extracurricular activities, serious illness with prolonged hospitalisation, international-level sport if S is reached) must be included in the application; an interview may be requested; final decisions are at the Committee's sole discretion. Minimum educational requirements (Table 3): 20 ECTS in mathematics/statistics/computing sectors, 10 ECTS in physics/chemistry sectors, 5 ECTS in fluid dynamics/thermodynamics/energy sectors and 25 ECTS in structural, mechanical, manufacturing, materials, electrical/electronic and control sectors (at most 5 ECTS from IINF sectors); if missing, curricular integrations are assigned and must be passed (e.g. as single courses) before enrolment. Polimi Mechanical, Aerospace, Energy and Industrial Production Engineering bachelors enter without curricular integrations. No preliminary evaluations: only applications submitted within the School of Industrial and Information Engineering deadlines are considered. English knowledge is a fundamental requirement for enrolment. Programme page (foreign degrees): a foreign bachelor (or comparable title) valid in the awarding country, with an adequate background in fundamental mathematics and physics and in the core areas of industrial and mechanical engineering, evaluated by a dedicated Committee. Foreign-degree applicants: the bachelor must give access to EQF level 7 and contain subjects closely related to the programme, and must meet the Admissions Office's country-specific minimum CGPA where one is set (for example India 70/100, China 80%, Turkey 3/4, Iran 15.5/20, Pakistan 3.3/4).

A.Y. 2027/28 (Admissions Office list 'updated for A.Y. 2027/2028'). English certification is required of all MSc applicants (the Teaching Regulations call English knowledge a fundamental requirement for enrolment). Accepted: TOEFL iBT / Home Edition at least 78 for tests taken until 20/01/2026 or at least 4.5 for tests taken from 21/01/2026 (paper-based at least 547, computer-based at least 210; Polimi TOEFL code 9795); TOEIC at least 785 Listening & Reading + 310 Speaking & Writing (from A.Y. 2027/28; the 720 L&R threshold applied to 2026/27 only); Cambridge Proficiency grade C, Advanced grade C or First grade B; IELTS Academic or General Training at least 6; Trinity ISE II; PTE Academic overall at least 59; Pearson PEIC overall at least 59; LanguageCert ESOL B2 Communicator (4 skills). Certificates considered expired by the issuing body are not accepted. Exemption: a bachelor taught in English for at least 3 years, proven by a university document confirming that at least 75% of the courses were taught in English. Applicants with a foreign degree: the certificate is not needed to submit the application and does not influence the evaluation, but it is mandatory for the admission letter, merit-based scholarships, the visa and enrolment. Applicants with an Italian degree must provide certified English at the required level in order to be accepted (School of Industrial and Information Engineering: self-certified by the enrolment deadline, per the Italian-qualification page). Italian is not an entry requirement for this English-taught programme; all international students must prove Italian proficiency in order to graduate: either upload an Italian B2 certificate from an institution recognised by the Italian Ministry of University upon enrolment, or attend Polimi's free Italian course and pass its exit test (minimum score).
