Kabul koşulları

Akademik geçmiş

A.Y. 2026/27 (programme page and Teaching Regulations). A Laurea in class L-17 (Architecture sciences, or former class 4 under Min. Decree 509/1999) without curricular integrations, or a foreign qualification recognised as suitable; other first-cycle degrees or 3-year university qualifications only if the core educational activities of class L-17 (EU architect-training requirements) are fulfilled, which is a mandatory curricular requirement. The Teaching Regulations also list 'having passed the obligatory entrance tests' of national architect-training programmes [uncertain how this is applied to foreign-degree holders]. Admission only through the selection: a comparative assessment of the previous academic career, personal preparation, portfolio and other documented training or professional experience. Italian-degree applicants assessed by merit receive up to 150 points (up to 110 for the weighted average of exams on at least 145 credits, up to 20 for the portfolio, up to 10 for documented internships/work, up to 10 for other qualifications); minimum 100 points; Polimi AUIC L-17 graduates meeting the N/V parameter 104/27 and holding the English certificate are admitted by right. Foreign-degree applicants apply through the Polimi Admissions Office procedure (strict country-specific minimum CGPA; the degree must give access to EQF level 7) and are admitted for the first semester only. English knowledge is a prerequisite (see language_requirements).

Dil yeterliliği

A.Y. 2027/28 (Admissions Office list of accepted certificates, 'updated for A.Y. 2027/2028'). Certified English is required for admission to every Polimi MSc. Accepted certificates and minimum scores: TOEFL (Polimi code 9795) paper-based at least 547, computer-based at least 210, iBT and TOEFL Home Edition at least 78 for tests taken until 20/01/2026 or at least 4.5 (new scale) for tests taken from 21/01/2026; TOEIC at least 785 Listening & Reading plus at least 310 Speaking & Writing (from A.Y. 2027/28; the 720 L&R threshold applied to 2026/27 only); Cambridge Proficiency grade C, Advanced grade C or First grade B; IELTS Academic or General Training at least 6; Trinity ISE II; PTE Academic overall at least 59; Pearson PEIC overall at least 59; LanguageCert ESOL B2 Communicator (4 skills). Certificates considered expired by the issuing institution are not accepted. Exemption: a Bachelor's degree taught in English for at least 3 years, proven by a university document confirming that at least 75% of the courses were taught in English. Timing for foreign-degree applicants: the certificate is not needed to submit the online application and does not affect the evaluation, but it is mandatory to obtain the admission letter, merit scholarships, the visa and to enrol. Applicants with an Italian degree must provide it by the deadlines of the admission procedure. For Architectural Design and History the Teaching Regulations require the English certificate to be submitted by the deadline of the admission application [uncertain: this is stricter than the Admissions Office rule above for foreign-degree applicants; uploading it with the application is the safe option]. Italian: not an entry requirement for this English-taught programme; international students without adequate Italian must attend the programme's 40-hour Italian course (at least 75% attendance and a final test) and prove at least CEFR B1 before registering for the final examination; holders of an accepted B1 (or higher) Italian certificate are exempt.

  • Application dates, places, application fees and the programme's admission rules shown here are for A.Y. 2026/27; Politecnico di Milano has not yet published the 2027/28 Master of Science application calendar (in the 2026/27 cycle the first application window opened on 1 October 2025). The list of accepted English certificates is already the A.Y. 2027/28 version.
  • The programme rules list passing the compulsory national admission test for architect-training programmes among the access requirements; how this applies to applicants with a foreign degree is not explained on the official pages.
  • The programme rules ask for the English certificate by the application deadline, while the Admissions Office says applicants with a foreign degree can apply without it and must provide it for the admission letter, merit scholarships, the visa and enrolment; uploading it with the application is the safe option.
  • The portfolio is shown as mandatory because the Admissions Office requires it for Architecture programmes and this programme assesses applicants on their portfolio.
  • The 150-point scoring grid (portfolio up to 20 points, minimum 100 points) is published for applicants with an Italian degree; no separate grid is published for applicants with a foreign degree.
  • This programme requires Italian at level B1 before registering for the final examination, while Polimi's general page for international students mentions an Italian B2 certificate or a free Polimi Italian course with an exit test; the programme's own B1 rule is shown.
  • Polimi's advice on when to submit the Universitaly visa pre-enrolment is published for 2026/27 only (by the end of June 2026 for students admitted to the first semester); the advice for 2027/28 is not published yet.
