Kabul koşulları

Akademik geçmiş

A.Y. 2026/27 (programme page and Didactic Regulations 2026/27). A Bachelor's degree (or higher) is required; a foreign degree must be obtained before enrolment, give access to EQF level 7 and contain subjects closely related to the programme. Italian-degree applicants may apply as final-year students with 145 certified ECTS (Polimi students if registered for the next graduation session; other universities if they graduate before enrolment or within the published dates). Thresholds: graduates of the Polimi BSc in Automation Engineering are admitted automatically with a weighted average of at least 22/30; graduates of other BSc programmes of the Polimi School of Industrial and Information Engineering with at least 23/30; all other Italian graduates need a weighted average of at least 23/30 and are then assessed case by case by the Admission Committee; graduates of non-Italian universities are assessed case by case on their academic record (eligibility assessment of academic merit and of a solid command of general scientific methods and core engineering foundations; competencies in systems theory and control are given particular consideration). Requested background: fundamentals of engineering (Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics) and the core disciplines Automatic Control, Applied Mechanics, Electrical Machines and Drives; some background in computer science, electronics and telecommunications is advisable. Gaps can be assigned as compulsory curricular integrations; Polimi School BSc graduates with a weighted average of at least 28/30 are admitted without integrations. Foreign-degree applicants must also meet Polimi's strict country-specific minimum CGPA where one is set (e.g. India 70/100, China 80%, Bangladesh 3.3/4).

Dil yeterliliği

A.Y. 2027/28 (Admissions Office list 'updated for A.Y. 2027/2028'). An English certificate is required for all MSc applicants: TOEFL iBT / TOEFL Home Edition at least 78 for tests taken until 20/01/2026 or at least 4.5 for tests taken from 21/01/2026 (paper-based at least 547, computer-based at least 210; Polimi TOEFL code 9795); TOEIC at least 785 Listening & Reading + at least 310 Speaking & Writing; Cambridge Proficiency or Advanced pass at grade C, First pass at grade B; IELTS Academic or General Training at least 6; Trinity College ISE II or higher; PTE Academic overall at least 59; Pearson PEIC overall at least 59; LanguageCert ESOL B2 Communicator (4 skills). Certificates considered expired by the issuing institution are not accepted. Exemption: a bachelor degree taught in English for at least 3 years, proven by a university document confirming that at least 75% of the courses were taught in English. For foreign-degree applicants the certificate is not needed to submit the application and does not affect the evaluation, but it is mandatory to obtain the admission letter, merit scholarships, the visa and to enrol (Italian-degree applicants must provide it in order to be accepted). No Italian certificate is needed for admission (English-taught programme). All students with a foreign qualification must prove Italian language proficiency in order to graduate (this is not an entry requirement): either upload an Italian B2 certificate issued by an institution recognised by the Italian Ministry of University upon enrolment, or attend Polimi's free Italian course and pass its exit test (a minimum score is required).

  • No A.Y. 2027/28 application calls or dates had been published by 27 September 2026. Deadlines, academic requirements, documents and test information are for A.Y. 2026/27 and will change when Politecnico di Milano publishes the 2027/28 calendar; only the list of accepted English certificates is already the one updated for A.Y. 2027/28.
  • Timing of the English certificate: the Admissions Office page says it is not needed to submit the application or for the evaluation (it is needed for the admission letter, merit scholarships, the visa and enrolment), while the 2026/27 Didactic Regulations say the English level must be certified at the time of application. The information shown follows the Admissions Office page for applicants with a foreign degree.
  • For A.Y. 2026/27 the Polimi language page also accepted TOEIC 720 Listening & Reading for tests registered by 28 February 2026; the list updated for A.Y. 2027/28 keeps only 785 Listening & Reading plus 310 Speaking & Writing.
  • The document list is the Admissions Office list for applicants with a foreign degree; applicants with an Italian degree apply through Polimi Online Services with a different procedure, whose document list is not shown here.
  • The minimum CGPA examples (India 70/100, China 80%, Bangladesh 3.3/4) come from Polimi's country requirements page; other countries have different minimums or none.
  • The Didactic Regulations announce a new Master's admission model from A.Y. 2028/29; it does not change admissions for 2026/27 or 2027/28.
