Engineering Laurea admission uses Polimi/CISIA test and ranking/enrolment procedures. The SAT alternative-test registration deadline found in the official 2026/2027 page is 4 June 2026 at 11:59 CEST; the high-school diploma score upload/enrolment document deadline found in the official page is 10 September 2026.
A.Y. 2026/27 (2027/28 not yet published). Non-EU applicants living abroad who need a study visa (reserved contingent: 25 places, no 'Marco Polo' places) follow the same tests and deadlines as EU applicants but compete for the separate non-EU quota: sit the TOL (remote, in Italian) in the window 1 February - 10 March or 11 March - 31 May 2026, or take CEnT-S / TOLC-I (from 1 September 2025) or SAT (1 January 2025 - 4 May 2026) and register the result in Online Services by 11:59 CEST on 4 June 2026 (converted score at least 30/100). Process Engineering was not open in the early-enrolment phase; its places were assigned from the second phase: places published 15 June 2026, preferences by 11:59 CEST on 18 June 2026, rankings on 22 June, 29 June, 6 July and 13 July 2026 (enrol by 24 June, 1 July, 8 July, 15 July 2026); third phase preferences 20-23 July 2026 (rankings 27 July, 3 August); fourth phase preferences 24-27 August 2026 (rankings 31 August, 7 September 2026). Universitaly visa pre-enrolment (separate step): as soon as possible and in any case by 31 August 2026; Polimi validates it only after the test is passed, the final diploma and the last three years' grades are uploaded and the English requirement is verified. Visa application at the Italian embassy/consulate by 30 November 2026 (national deadline).
High school diploma with at least 12 years of education; foreign qualifications may need additional verification, foundation course, CIMEA/DoV, or country-specific checks. Admission test participation requirements also apply.
For English-taught Laurea programmes, applicants must demonstrate English before enrolment. Accepted routes include English-official citizenship, qualification obtained in English, or recognised certification such as TOEFL iBT >= 59, IELTS >= 5, or Cambridge B2 First Grade C, subject to official validity rules.
