Secondary school diploma of at least 5 years' duration, or an equivalent foreign qualification recognised as equivalent, plus adequate initial preparation in Mathematics, Physics, Logic and Verbal Comprehension (checked by the CISIA entry test; gaps become OFA). Non-Italian diploma holders must pass pre-admission: the programme commission assesses the documents (high school transcript, CV, motivation letter, English certificate, passport/ID). Countries where a national university entrance exam is mandatory and 11-year school systems need extra documents at enrolment (see required_documents). English B2 (CEFR) is required: 'Admission to the degree program also requires an adequate knowledge of the English language, verified by the presentation of a suitable B2 level certification ... or by passing an appropriate test.' At pre-admission the 'certificate of proficiency in English' is an application document; a declaration that the previous degree was taught in English as the medium of instruction is accepted as proof by the university, but Italian embassies typically require a valid B2 certificate (IELTS, TOEFL, Duolingo or equivalent) for the visa. The certificate used for pre-admission is uploaded again at enrolment. No list of accepted certificates or minimum scores and no certificate validity period is given on the pages read . No Italian requirement for this English-taught programme.

Non-selective orientation test, taken before the first-year courses; failing or not taking it only means OFA in mathematics. Programme site (A.Y. 2026/27): CEnT-S (CISIA English Test - Sciences), online or in presence; dates on https://www.unicas.it/cuori/futuri-studenti/risorse/test-dingresso/calendario-test-di-ingresso/. The university admissions page names the test TOLC-I (Test CISIA) with 2026 dates 7 July, 15 July, 2 September, 3 September 2026 (page written for Italian students). OFA can be cleared by passing the CIA test (20 multiple-choice questions, max 2 hours, at least 10 points; five sessions in 2026/27: September, October, November, December, April) after a 24-hour Integrated Course in Mathematics I (first week of September 2026), or by passing the Mathematics I exam by September 2027. The pages read give no exemption for international students; the programme home page links the test steps under 'upon arriving in Italy', so international students may take it after arrival .

  • EUR 15 pre-admission fee. Universitaly application (visa candidates): as requested on the portal. Enrolment in person at the International Welcome Service (Rettorato, Cassino) - non-EU: passport with study visa and arrival stamp (or valid residence permit)
  • Declaration of Value (or CIMEA Statement of Comparability plus Statement of Verification); school leaving qualification; school-subjects transcript; language proficiency certificate used for pre-admission; national entrance exam result if from a country where it is mandatory; first-year bachelor transcript or foundation-year certificate if the school qualification took 11 years.
