Italian secondary-school diploma or equivalent foreign qualification (12 years of schooling). No specific subject prerequisites beyond passing the mandatory entry test (see entry_exam_or_test). Personal-preparation gap, if any, is recovered via OFA (Obbligo Formativo Aggiuntivo) rather than blocking enrolment for EU/resident applicants.

English B2 required for admission. Regulation allows conditional matriculation without the certificate if obtained by the end of Year 1 (exam block until then) — but non-EU visa applicants are rejected outright at PICA stage without a listed B2 certificate, so treat B2 as effectively mandatory for that group. MOI (Medium of Instruction) letters and Duolingo are explicitly not accepted anywhere at UNIPG.

Mandatory entry test — the UNIPG international-students page states: "providing a CEnT-S test, a TOLC-I test or a SAT test is mandatory. APPLICATIONS NOT PROVIDING one of the above-mentioned tests WILL BE IMMEDIATELY REJECTED." The faculty-level admission-test page (ing.unipg.it/en/courses/admission-test) lists specific thresholds for only two of the three: TOLC-I >=14/50 overall with >=7/20 in Maths; CEnT-S (CISIA English-language test, live since Nov 2025: 55 questions, 110 min, EUR 55, valid 1 academic year) >=10/35 with >=5/15 in Maths. SAT is confirmed accepted on the international-students page (department page previously cited SAT >=700/1600, Maths >=350/800, and ACT >=16/36, Maths >=15/36, though these department-level SAT/ACT thresholds are not repeated on the faculty admission-test page — flagged as a minor conflict). Below the threshold, EU/resident students may still enrol with an OFA (additional learning obligation); non-EU visa applicants must pass to be admitted.
