EU/legally-residing applicants: PICA pre-enrolment from 1 July 2026 (no published closing date); SOL enrolment for open-access master closes 1 March 2027 (department notes the practical cut-off generally coincides with end of February).
Non-EU visa applicants: PICA call 2026-visa-02, open until 12:00 noon on 30 September 2026 or until the visa quota is filled — STILL OPEN as of research date (5 Eylül 2026), the only item in this set that is. Note: the Regolamento PDF itself cites an older code, 2026-visa-01; the central international-students page's 2026-visa-02 is current.
Curricular requirements automatically satisfied for L-34 (Scienze Geologiche), plus L-30 (Scienze e Tecnologie Fisiche) and L-7 (Ingegneria Civile e Ambientale) per the UNIPG sheet, and their pre-2001 (D.M. 509/99, class 16) equivalents. Other bachelor's degrees: at least 60 CFU across CHIM, FIS, MAT and GEO sectors combined, of which at least 36 CFU in GEO sectors. Otherwise a commission evaluates via curriculum review and an interview if needed, and may prescribe integrative CFU in Area 04 Earth Sciences (GEOS) to be completed before the nulla-osta deadline (generally end of February). Personal-preparation check is via interview ("colloquio") in all cases requiring one. No minimum GPA stated.
English B2, submitted via the Universitaly platform during application. Alternative evidence accepted for candidates not requiring a visa: at least one year of secondary school in English, an Italian secondary school with English-medium instruction, or a degree taught in English — otherwise the Commission assesses B2-equivalence via interview or another certificate.
No standardised written test. Personal-preparation check always via an interview ("La verifica della preparazione personale dello Studente viene effettuata tramite un colloquio"), required for all applicants, with a basic-training expectation in maths, physics, chemistry and geological sciences.
