• Applicants must hold a bachelor's degree in Geological Sciences, Earth Sciences, or Environmental and Natural Sciences and Technologies, or another foreign degree judged suitable by an appointed Committee. The official access-requirements page states that applicants need at least 33 ECTS, or an equivalent workload, in courses related to Geological Sciences. The background must include Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Earth Physics, Geomorphology, Structural Geology, Stratigraphy and Sedimentology, Palaeontology, Mineralogy and Petrography, and Cartography. The Committee evaluates the suitability of the degree and whether the previous studies satisfy the requested geological-sciences workload.
• Foreign title pre-check: The official application pages state that entry qualification documents are accepted in English, French, Italian, or Spanish and that scanned copies of the original documents must be uploaded; original verified documents are required to finalize enrollment. The central master's admissions page also states that the Admission Office evaluates the submitted foreign documentation after application.

• For the English curriculum GEO-EMW, applicants must have English at CEFR B2 level. The official apply page accepts a valid English certificate, or a Declaration of Medium of Instruction issued by the university or course; if neither is provided, English is evaluated during the admission interview. For the Italian curriculum GEO-AMB, applicants must have English at CEFR B2 or higher and, if they are non-EU applicants residing abroad and applying to the fully Italian curriculum, Italian at CEFR B2 or higher; the official course site states that the Italian-language test is organized by CISIA and that a B2 Italian certificate exempts the applicant.
• Language requirement exemption or alternative: For GEO-EMW and GEO-AMB, English may be demonstrated through a recognized B2 certificate or a Declaration of Medium of Instruction issued by the university or course. No English certificate is required for applicants who completed a bachelor's degree at a university located in Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, the United States, or the United Kingdom. If no certificate is presented, English can be evaluated during the admission interview. • Admission is based on curriculum evaluation and may include an oral admission interview. The official programme pages state that the Committee evaluates whether international students with a suitable curriculum must take and pass an oral interview. The published interview topics are Hydrogeology, Geographic Information System (GIS), Sedimentology, and Mineralogy and Petrology. For GEO-AMB, non-EU applicants residing abroad who apply to the fully Italian curriculum must also prove Italian-language ability through the required language procedure unless exempt.
• Selection criteria: Selection is based on suitability of the bachelor's degree, compliance with the minimum geological-sciences workload, technical background shown by the degree certificate and transcript or diploma supplement, the relevant language proof, and, where required, the oral interview. The Committee decides whether the applicant's previous studies satisfy the subject and ECTS requirements and whether an interview is necessary.
