• Applicants must hold a bachelor's degree, a previous-system university degree, a three-year university diploma, or another foreign qualification recognized as suitable by the competent University bodies. Direct admission is granted to applicants holding an Italian degree in classes L-2 Biotechnology, L-13 Biological Sciences, LM-13 Pharmacy and Industrial Pharmacy (including the single-cycle degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Technology), or LM-41 Medicine and Surgery, plus corresponding previous-system classes. Applicants with another degree can still meet the curricular requirements if they have at least 10 CFU/ECTS in mathematics, physics, computer science, and statistics; at least 10 CFU/ECTS in chemistry and biology; and at least 20 CFU/ECTS in biotechnology-related areas listed by the programme page. Foreign degrees are evaluated for correspondence with the listed Italian classes.
• Foreign title pre-check: Foreign qualifications must be recognized as suitable by the competent University bodies. For the international master's procedure, applicants upload an identity document and a bachelor's degree diploma issued in English, Spanish, or French, or officially translated into Italian. The programme page states that foreign degrees are assessed for correspondence with the listed Italian degree classes.

English B2. The programme page requires English knowledge at CEFR B2 because the entire programme is taught in English. The official UNIPV 2026/2027 language annex lists this course among UNIPV degrees entirely taught in English with recognised level B2. Accepted B2 proofs in that annex include IELTS 5.5-6.5, TOEFL iBT 72-94, Cambridge B2 First, Trinity ISE II, Linguaskill 180-199, PTE B2, and final certificates issued by the University Language Center for eligible English courses obtained from 2023 onwards.

• For applicants with an Italian access qualification: a valid identity document; first-cycle degree data; and a signed self-certification of the exams taken in the bachelor's career, including date, scientific-disciplinary sector, CFU, grades, any graduation grade, and academic years of enrollment; any additional programme-specific documentation requested by the master's programme must also be uploaded. For applicants with a foreign qualification through apply.unipv.eu: identity document and bachelor's degree diploma issued in English, Spanish, or French, or officially translated into Italian. For English-language verification: accepted B2 certificate or equivalent proof listed in the official 2026/2027 UNIPV language annex.
