Kampüs

NAPLES - CAPPELLA DEI CANGIANI / RIONE ALTO, the campus of the School of Medicine and Surgery in the northern hill district of Naples (Municipality V). This is NOT the historic Corso Umberto I centre and NOT the Fuorigrotta/Agnano engineering pole. TEACHING VENUE: the CESTEV lecture-hall building. Verbatim Italian: 'Le lezioni si tengono presso l'aulario del CESTEV nel Campus della Scuola di Medicina e Chirurgia'; English: 'Classes are held at the CESTEV building on the School of Medicine and Surgery Campus'. CESTEV = Centro di Servizio di Ateneo per le Scienze e Tecnologie per la Vita, a University service centre established by DR/2016/577 of 25/02/2016, currently directed by Prof. Gennaro Piccialli. ADDRESS: via Tommaso De Amicis 95, Napoli. The Biotechnology teaching area and the Student Administration Office sit in the same building - 'Sede: c/o Area didattica di Scienze Biotecnologiche (I piano) - via Tommaso de Amicis, 95 80131 Napoli' - and the University Prospectus routes non-automatic applications there: 'applications must be sent to the Student Secretary Office in via Tommaso De Amicis 95, 80131 Napoli, Italy'. THE POSTCODE IS INCONSISTENT ACROSS OFFICIAL PAGES: the MMBM department course sheet and the University Prospectus both give 80131, while the University's own CESTEV structure page gives 'via Tommaso De Amicis n. 95 - 80145 Napoli'. The street address itself is consistent everywhere; only the CAP differs. The wider Cappella dei Cangiani complex covers about 441,000 square metres across 21 buildings, with the main entrance to the university hospital complex on via Sergio Pansini; the Policlinico postcode is 80131. Applicants should treat 'via Tommaso De Amicis 95, Napoli' as the operative address and verify the CAP with the office when posting documents. TIMETABLE AND CALENDAR: first semester runs October to mid-January, second semester March to mid-June; the lesson calendar is published at scienzebiotecnologiche.unina.it/mediche/orario before each semester and updated in real time. Note the Prospectus gives a slightly wider teaching envelope (first semester end of September to January; second end of February to first week of June) - a normal planning-vs-actual difference. Department: Dipartimento di Medicina Molecolare e Biotecnologie Mediche, mmbm.unina.it. School: Scuola di Medicina e Chirurgia, medicina.unina.it. Student Administration Office: Segreteria Studenti Area didattica Scienze Biotecnologiche, segrescienzebio@unina.it.

OPEN ACCESS (accesso libero) subject to verification of curricular requirements. There is no numero programmato, no ranking, no competitive call and no admission test. The orientamento structured profile states it as a single word - Italian 'Accesso Libero', English 'Admission Libero' - and the body text spells it out: 'L'accesso al Corso di Laurea Magistrale in Biotecnologie Mediche e libero, subordinatamente alla verifica del possesso dei requisiti curriculari' / 'Admission to the Master's Degree Course in Medical Biotechnology is open, subject to verification of curricular requirements.' Because the course is accesso libero, first-year enrolment runs straight through the Segrepass online portal under the university-wide notice, which is explicit that 'Questa modalita d'iscrizioni al primo anno puo essere utilizzata solo per immatricolarsi ai corsi ad accesso libero; per le lauree a numero programmato la procedura si differenzia in termini di modalita e termini di scadenze a seconda dei bandi pubblicati.' WHAT IS ACTUALLY CHECKED, and by whom: (1) CURRICULAR CREDIT CHECK - a minimum of 55 CFU distributed across five disciplinary groups (see academic_requirements), verified by a dedicated Commission appointed by the Study Programme's Didactic Coordination Committee: 'Il possesso di tali requisiti curriculari sara verificato mediante valutazione della carriera personale da una apposita Commissione nominata dalla Commissione di Coordinamento Didattico del Corso di Studio.' (2) A DISCRETIONARY RELEVANCE JUDGEMENT that can override the arithmetic - the ordinamento warns that even a candidate who has the 55 CFU may be required to acquire additional credits: 'anche in presenza dei 55 CFU necessari per l'ammissione ..., la commissione preposta si riserva la possibilita di valutare l'attinenza delle tematiche degli esami conseguiti con quelle del CdL in BiMe e quindi di determinarne l'ammissione o di indicare la necessita di acquisire crediti aggiuntivi.' This is the single most under-appreciated feature of this admission: open access does NOT mean automatic access. (3) ENGLISH B2 CHECK (see language_requirements). (4) FOR FOREIGN-QUALIFICATION APPLICANTS, an additional dossier assessment AND AN INTERVIEW by the Commissione Riconoscimento crediti e Accesso per studenti stranieri (see entry_exam_or_test). AUTOMATIC ADMISSION EXISTS FOR ONE GROUP: graduates of Federico II's own bachelor's degree in Biotecnologie per la Salute - 'Il Corso di Laurea triennale in Biotecnologie per la Salute dell'Ateneo "Federico II" da accesso automatico.' Italian L-2 and L-13 bachelor graduates are presumed qualified: 'I laureati triennali delle classi L-2 ed L-13 sono di norma pienamente in possesso delle conoscenze necessarie e quindi ammessi alla verifica della personale preparazione.' All other candidates must submit an application through the Segreteria Studenti at the master's site. CHANNEL DEPENDS ON PROFILE: Italian-qualification holders enrol online via Segrepass; foreign students are told to contact the student offices by email ('Gli studenti stranieri per immatricolarsi devono invece contattare via mail le segreterie studenti'); non-EU applicants resident abroad must additionally pre-enrol on Universitaly first.

Resmî Eğitim Dili

THE PARENT DEGREE IS BILINGUAL; THE 'ADVANCED TECHNOLOGIES' CURRICULUM IS 100% ENGLISH. The ordinamento/RAD records 'Lingua in cui si tiene il corso: italiano, inglese' for the degree as a whole, and the orientamento structured profile marks it 'Lingua ITA/ENG' (Italian page) / 'Language ENG/ITA' (English page) - the dual marking reflects the coexistence of Italian and English curricula under one degree, NOT a mixed-language delivery within one track. WHICH CURRICULUM IS IN WHICH LANGUAGE: 'Sono previsti tre curriculum: "medico" e "bioinformatico" in italiano e "advanced technologies" interamente in lingua inglese.' The department course sheet states it for the track specifically: 'Il curriculum "advanced technologies" fornisce competenze avanzate sulle principali tecnologie innovative applicabili a progetti di ricerca (di base o traslazionale) e sviluppo in campo sia accademico che industriale. In questo curriculum, la didattica sara svolta interamente in lingua inglese, strumento questo atto a migliorare le possibilita occupazionali anche a livello internazionale.' The University Prospectus is equally explicit: 'in Curriculum 2 - "Advanced Technologies" -, all didactic activities are conducted in English' and 'The "Medical" and "Bioinformatics" curricula provides all teachings in Italian, while "Advanced Technologies" curriculum is entirely in English.' SCOPE OF THE ENGLISH DELIVERY: the English coverage is not limited to the two track-specific courses. The whole common core is delivered in English to Advanced Technologies students - the published Advanced Technologies study plan lists every course, including the shared first-year ones, under English titles (Biochemistry of complex systems and bioinformatics; Developmental Biology and gene expression control; Molecular and Cellular Microbiology; Advanced diagnostic; Special Pharmacology and Gene and Cell Therapy; Genetics and molecular pathology; Synthesis of biomolecules; Bioethics), alongside the two curriculum-specific bimodular courses. THESIS: writing in English is COMPULSORY for this curriculum. The parent degree allows either language - 'The final exam consists in the discussion of a dissertation, written in Italian or English' - but the Prospectus immediately adds: 'Students of the "Advanced Technologies" curriculum must write their dissertation in English.' ELECTIVES: the 10 CFU of free-choice courses are drawn from a single university list containing both Italian and English options; the Prospectus marks the English ones in bold (Control of protein homeostasis in health and disease; Functional Genomics; Genetic Engineering; Microbial Biotechnologies; Molecular annotation of human diseases and machine learning; Molecular oncology; Neurology; Pathogenesis of human cancer; Scientific writing and presentation skills). An Advanced Technologies student can therefore complete the elective block in English, but the list is shared with the Italian curricula and is 'updated during each academic year'. ITALIAN LANGUAGE IS NOT REQUIRED for admission to the English curriculum: international.unina.it states that for a degree course in English 'level B2 Italian language proficiency is not required'. Note that this university-level exemption is phrased as covering 'a three-year, five-year or single-cycle degree course in ENGLISH' - see uncertainty_notes on that wording. The choice of curriculum is made at enrolment: 'When students complete the enrolment process, they can select their preferred curriculum.'

TWO STEPS; ONLY THE ENROLMENT STEP HAS A PUBLISHED CALENDAR DATE. (1) ENROLMENT (immatricolazione) FOR a.a. 2026/2027 - 16 JULY 2026 TO 2 NOVEMBER 2026. Enrolment is exclusively online via www.segrepass.unina.it, and this route applies precisely because Medical Biotechnology is accesso libero. Normalised ISO: 16 Temmuz 2026 to 2 Kasım 2026. (2) CURRICULAR ASSESSMENT OF A FOREIGN QUALIFICATION - NO PUBLISHED DEADLINE. EU candidates (and non-EU candidates legally resident in Italy or an EU country, who are treated as EU) holding a foreign degree must first have the qualification assessed. international.unina.it instructs them to 'send your academic documents to the Coordinator of the course you wish to enrol in to find out whether you meet the enrolment requirements'; for this programme the operative channel is admissionbiotechnology@unina.it. Neither the university nor the programme publishes a cut-off for this step, and the programme's news feed carries no international-application deadline - only graduation sessions and Erasmus calls. In practice it must be completed early enough to enrol before 2 November 2026. (3) YEARS AFTER THE FIRST - enrolment opens 1 September and the university notice states this is unchanged ('Rimane invariata, con inizio il 1 settembre, la data per le iscrizioni agli anni successivi al primo'). (4) A CONFLICTING COURSE-LEVEL WINDOW EXISTS. Both orientamento profiles state, under 'Termini e scadenze' / 'Application timeline': 'L'immatricolazione e l'iscrizione agli anni successivi hanno luogo, dal 1 settembre al 31 marzo di ogni anno' / 'Enrollment and registration for subsequent years take place from September 1 to March 31 each year.' This 1 September - 31 March window cannot be reconciled with the university-wide 16 July - 2 November 2026 notice for first-year enrolment; see uncertainty_notes. Follow the university notice for matriculation. (5) SECOND-SEMESTER ENTRY - not provided for and not mentioned in any source; treat as unavailable.

AB / AEA dışı adaylar

FOR NON-EU CANDIDATES RESIDING ABROAD (visa-requiring) the binding dates are set centrally by international.unina.it, not by the programme. (1) 15 JUNE 2026 - UNIVERSITALY PRE-ENROLMENT DEADLINE. Verbatim: 'JUNE - 15 - 2026 - Pre-enrolment application deadline to University of Naples Federico II. After this date no programme changes are permitted. After this date pre-enrolment is allowed to the programmes with restricted access only.' Normalised ISO: 15 Haziran 2026. THIS IS THE OPERATIVE HARD DATE and it is unforgiving for this course: the concession allowing late pre-enrolment after 15 June is restricted to 'programmes with restricted access', and Medical Biotechnology is OPEN access, so a non-EU applicant who misses 15 June appears to lose the academic year entirely - notwithstanding that the general enrolment window stays open until 2 November. (2) 30 NOVEMBER 2026 - VISA APPLICATION DEADLINE. Verbatim: 'NOVEMBER - 30 - 2026 - Deadline for submitting the Visa Application at Iyalian Embassies /Consulates.' ('Iyalian' is a typo for 'Italian' in the original.) Normalised ISO: 30 Kasım 2026. (3) PROCESS ORDER: pre-enrolment on the Universitaly portal (www.universitaly.it/studenti-stranieri), naming the University of Naples Federico II, this degree programme and the chosen Embassy/Consulate; university validation; issue of a type 'D' study visa ('studio-immatricolazione universita'); then enrolment. international.unina.it warns that 'pre-enrolment alone does not grant admission to degree programmes. In order to matriculate you also need to take and pass the verifications of the entry requirements and the admission procedures set for the degree programme of your interest' - which for this course means the 55 CFU check and the interview. It also states flatly: 'Important! The University of Naples Federico II does not issue admission letters for obtaining a visa.' (4) A CONDITIONAL VISA IS POSSIBLE: candidates confirmed 'with reservations' - because they do not yet hold the qualification, or are awaiting an admission or language assessment - are still issued a type 'D' study visa so they can sit the checks in Italy without returning home. (5) NON-EU CANDIDATES WHO DO NOT NEED A VISA (legally resident in Italy or an EU country) are treated as EU candidates: they skip Universitaly and follow the 16 July - 2 November 2026 enrolment window. (6) THE PROGRAMME PUBLISHES NO DEPARTMENTAL DEADLINE of its own. Its admission pages describe a rolling, case-by-case document submission to admissionbiotechnology@unina.it with no date attached, and the course news feed carries none. Applicants should treat 15 Haziran 2026 as the governing date and open the dossier with the department months in advance.

Akademik geçmiş
  • Seats (total): NO SEAT CAP IS PUBLISHED AND NONE APPEARS TO EXIST. The programme is accesso libero, so there is no numero programmato, no bando fixing a number of places and no ranking. No figure appears in the ordinamento/RAD (which carries no 'utenza sostenibile' entry in the retrievable text), nor in the Manifesto degli Studi 2026/2027, the University Prospectus, the MMBM department course sheet, the programme website or either orientamento profile. The university-wide enrolment notice reinforces the classification by routing accesso libero first-year enrolment through Segrepass and contrasting it with 'le lauree a numero programmato', which follow separate bandi. Whether a non-public sustainable-enrolment figure exists in the SUA-CdS quadros could not be verified: the corsi.unina.it/DG0 catalogue sheet is a JavaScript-rendered single-page application that returns only a shell title ('Corsi di Studio | Unina.it') to a server-side fetch, so its structured fields could not be read without a browser session. | Seats (non-EU reserved): NO RESERVED NON-EU QUOTA (contingente riservato) IS PUBLISHED for this programme on any unina.it source consulted. Reserved-place quotas at Federico II are published in the bandi of numero programmato courses; because Medical Biotechnology is open access there is no such call and therefore no such quota was found. international.unina.it sets procedural deadlines for non-EU candidates but states no numeric quota for this or any individual course. The University's own notice for non-EU students resident abroad, 'INFORMATION FOR NON-EU STUDENTS WITH RESIDENCY ABROAD WHO WISH TO ENROL IN A DEGREE PROGRAMME AT THE UNIVERSITY OF NAPLES FEDERICO II' (UniversItaly_2026_27.pdf), was downloaded successfully but is an image-only PDF from which no text could be extracted, so it could not be searched for a per-course contingente; a text search of the extracted layer returned no occurrences of 'biotecnolog', 'contingente' or 'posti riservati'. Applicants should assume no fixed non-EU quota for this course and verify the annual MUR contingente for Federico II on Universitaly.
  • 1) A FIRST-CYCLE (THREE-YEAR) DEGREE, Italian or foreign and recognised as suitable, that has supplied sufficient knowledge in five areas: mathematical, chemical and physical disciplines; biological disciplines (biology, biochemistry, molecular biology, genetics, microbiology - the orientamento page also lists bioinformatics); morphological and physiological disciplines; pharmacological and toxicological disciplines; and English language, particularly the disciplinary/scientific lexicon. 2) A HARD MINIMUM OF 55 CFU, BROKEN DOWN BY DISCIPLINARY GROUP. This is the decisive quantitative gate and it is stated identically in the ordinamento, the Manifesto, the Prospectus, the department sheet, the orientamento profile and the programme's own admission page: 30 CFU in BIO, 5 CFU in MED, 10 CFU in CHIM, 5 CFU in FIS, 5 CFU in MAT. NOTE THE CODING SHIFT: the MMBM department sheet expresses the same requirement in the NEW post-reform group codes - '30 CFU nei GSD BIOS; 5 CFU nei GSD MEDS; 10 CFU nei GSD CHEM; 5 CFU nei GSD PHYS; 5 CFU nei GSD MATH' - while the other sources still use the legacy SSD prefixes. The quantities are identical; only the nomenclature differs. 3) RELEVANCE OF SUBJECT MATTER, NOT JUST CREDIT COUNT. Even with the 55 CFU in hand the Commission may assess whether the topics examined actually align with this master's, and may either admit or require additional credits. Conversely the ordinamento treats Italian L-2 (Biotecnologie) and L-13 (Scienze biologiche) graduates as normally fully qualified. 4) AUTOMATIC ADMISSION for graduates of Federico II's bachelor's in Biotecnologie per la Salute (Biotechnology for Health). 5) ENGLISH B2 - a substantive admission requirement, not a formality (see language_requirements). 6) FOREIGN QUALIFICATIONS - CASE-BY-CASE, WITH AN INTERVIEW. 'Agli studenti stranieri che vogliono accedere al Corso di Laurea, oltre alla valutazione del Transcript of Study, viene effettuata un'intervista per valutarne le conoscenze di base da parte della Commissione Riconoscimento crediti e Accesso per studenti stranieri.' The Commission's remit includes verifying that every student entering the first year has obtained the credits set out in the governing ordinamento, and ruling on recognition of credits from previous master's-level study. It is a large body chaired in practice by the Coordinator: Prof. Gerolama Condorelli, Raffaela Pero, Danilo Fiore, Fabiana Passaro, Rosario Avolio, Immacolata Andolfo, Olga Scudiero, Elena Scaglione, Marcello Moccia, Francesca Gorini, Stefano D'Errico, Luca Palazzo, Chiara Pagliuca, Elena Cesaro, Rosamarina Melillo, Paolo Maiuri, Federica Zarrilli, Pasqualino De Antonellis, Konrad Arkadiusz Urbanek. 7) NO MINIMUM GRADE AVERAGE IS PUBLISHED. Unlike several other Federico II master's programmes, this one sets no 24/30 weighted-average threshold and no minimum CGPA for foreign applicants; the gate is credit-based plus the interview. 8) MAXIMUM 24 CFU may be recognised from prior careers (DM 931 of 4 July 2024). 9) NO SEPARATE ACADEMIC PREREQUISITE ATTACHES TO THE ADVANCED TECHNOLOGIES CURRICULUM ITSELF. Admission is to the parent degree; the curriculum is chosen at enrolment ('When students complete the enrolment process, they can select their preferred curriculum'). The only differential requirement in practice is that the English B2 that all students owe becomes operationally indispensable in this track, since teaching and the thesis are in English.
Dil yeterliliği
  • ENGLISH B2 (CEFR) IS MANDATORY, AND IT IS THE ONLY LANGUAGE REQUIREMENT. It is stated as an access requirement in the ordinamento, the Manifesto, the Prospectus, the department sheet, both orientamento profiles and the programme's own admission page: 'Agli studenti e richiesto il possesso del livello B2 in lingua inglese.' English also appears among the five knowledge areas the entry degree must have covered - 'lingua inglese soprattutto con riferimento ai lessici disciplinari' (English, especially with reference to disciplinary lexicons). THREE ACCEPTED ROUTES TO DEMONSTRATE B2, listed identically across sources: (a) a language certificate at B2 level or higher issued by an international certifying body recognised by the Ministry of University and Research under DM 06.05.2020 and subsequent amendments
  • (b) a certificate obtained during a degree programme at Federico II through the Centro Linguistico di Ateneo (CLA), INCLUDING certifications validated during the bachelor's career - the Manifesto and the orientamento profile widen this to equivalent centres at other Italian public or private universities recognised by the Ministry ('o enti equivalenti di altre Universita pubbliche o private (riconosciute dal MIUR) italiane'), whereas the programme's own admission page and the Prospectus mention only Federico II's CLA
  • (c) passing the CLA Placement test WITHIN 12 MONTHS OF MATRICULATION. A dedicated Language Proficiency Evaluation Committee (Prof. Giorgia Oliviero, Domenico Grieco, Danilo Fiore) performs this assessment. In other words the B2 obligation is enforced at the graduation gate, not only at entry. PRACTICAL NOTE FOR THIS CURRICULUM: the placement-test route defers proof until after matriculation, but for an Advanced Technologies student that is a theoretical comfort only - all teaching and the compulsory English thesis assume working B2 from day one. Foreign applicants are in any case told to submit the certificate up front: 'The foreign students that would like to apply to the master course must submit their transcripts and English B2 certificate at the email: admissionbiotechnology@unina.it.' ITALIAN IS NOT REQUIRED: international.unina.it states that for a degree course in English 'level B2 Italian language proficiency is not required'; the B2 Italian rule applies to Italian-taught courses. A non-EU applicant choosing the Advanced Technologies curriculum therefore owes English B2 and no Italian certification - but see uncertainty_notes, because that university-level exemption is worded for 'three-year, five-year or single-cycle' courses and the corresponding requirement clause does name magistral courses. international.unina.it also warns that an international English certificate (IELTS, TOEFL, Cambridge, etc.) is 'useful for the issue of the visa by the diplomatic/consular Representation', so non-EU applicants should hold one regardless of the placement-test option.
Sınav / değerlendirme

NO competitive entrance examination, NO TOLC, NO GRE/GMAT, NO portfolio, NO ranking. Admission is open-access with documentary verification. Three assessment mechanisms nevertheless exist, and two of them bite for international applicants: (1) INTERVIEW FOR FOREIGN-QUALIFICATION APPLICANTS - MANDATORY AS WORDED, and the most important practical point in this field. The MMBM department course sheet states: 'Agli studenti stranieri che vogliono accedere al Corso di Laurea, oltre alla valutazione del Transcript of Study, viene effettuata un'intervista per valutarne le conoscenze di base da parte della Commissione Riconoscimento crediti e Accesso per studenti stranieri' - in addition to the assessment of the Transcript of Study, an interview is conducted to evaluate the candidate's basic knowledge. The phrasing is indicative ('viene effettuata' - is carried out), not permissive, so a foreign applicant should expect an interview rather than hope to avoid one. The FORMAT, LANGUAGE, TIMING and SCHEDULING of this interview are not published on any unina.it page consulted: no calendar, no rubric, no statement of whether it is held online or in person, and no indication of whether it is waived for any category. The interview is not mentioned at all on the programme's own Admission page or in the Manifesto/Prospectus, which describe only the document submission - so its operational detail must be obtained from admissionbiotechnology@unina.it. (2) CURRICULAR VERIFICATION BY COMMISSION - a documentary review of the personal academic record against the 55 CFU rule, carried out by a Commission appointed by the Didactic Coordination Committee, which may also require additional credits where the subject matter of past exams is judged insufficiently relevant. This is a desk assessment, not a sat exam. (3) CLA ENGLISH PLACEMENT TEST - the fallback route for candidates without a B2 certificate, and note carefully that it is a POST-ENROLMENT obligation, not a pre-admission screen: it must be passed 'entro 12 mesi dalla data di immatricolazione' (within 12 months of the date of matriculation), administered by the Centro Linguistico di Ateneo. Failing or not sitting it triggers a compulsory-attendance remedial course run by the CLA with a final exam; without a certificate or attestation the student is barred from the final degree exam. A dedicated Language Proficiency Evaluation Committee (Prof. Giorgia Oliviero, Domenico Grieco, Danilo Fiore) exists to 'evaluate language skills of foreign students enrolling in Italian curriculum and all students not yet certified at B2 English level'. No 2026/2027 CLA placement-test calendar for this programme was found on the pages consulted.

  • A) FOR THE COURSE-LEVEL CURRICULAR ASSESSMENT (all foreign applicants) - a deliberately short list, and the ONLY list the programme itself publishes: the TRANSCRIPT OF RECORDS ('Transcript of Study') and the ENGLISH B2 CERTIFICATE. Verbatim: 'The foreign students that would like to apply to the master course must submit their transcripts and English B2 certificate at the email: admissionbiotechnology@unina.it.' PROCEDURAL WARNINGS ISSUED BY THE PROGRAMME, which matter as much as the list: applications must be sent EXCLUSIVELY to admissionbiotechnology@unina.it - 'Applications sent to any other email addresses will not be considered' - and duplicate emails can be fatal: 'we kindly ask you not to send the same email multiple times. Duplicate submissions may result in exclusion from the selection process.' Non-automatic applications on paper go to the Student Secretary Office at via Tommaso De Amicis 95, Napoli. Expect also to attend the Commission interview (see entry_exam_or_test). B) FOR EU CANDIDATES (and non-EU candidates resident in Italy/EU) - the qualification-recognition dossier per international.unina.it: eventual TRANSLATIONS; LEGALISATIONS; DIPLOMA SUPPLEMENT; CERTIFICATES OF EXAMINATIONS; certificates from the Italian ENIC-NARIC centre (CIMEA, https://www.cimea.it/EN/); and any DECLARATIONS OF VALUE (Dichiarazione di Valore) issued by the competent diplomatic representations. C) FOR NON-EU CANDIDATES RESIDING ABROAD - documents to take to the Italian Embassy: the SUMMARY OF THE PRE-ENROLMENT APPLICATION submitted through Universitaly and validated by the University; any LANGUAGE COMPETENCE CERTIFICATES; the documents required for the VISA APPLICATION including a HEALTH INSURANCE POLICY where applicable; and the required documents for the foreign qualification. To obtain FROM the Embassy: the type 'D' study entry visa, the stamped health insurance policy, and the endorsed qualification documents. D) FOR FINAL ENROLMENT AT THE UNIVERSITY - international.unina.it's 'Documents required for enrolment': copy of PASSPORT; APPLICATION FORM; 1 PASSPORT PHOTO; TAX CODE (codice fiscale); RESIDENCE PERMIT (proof of having applied for it); and the DECLARATION OF VALUE issued by the Italian Embassy in the country where the degree was obtained, or a certificate of validity issued by ENIC-NARIC centres. The page adds the standing caveat: 'Important: always check the instructions on the degree programme's website.' E) VISA-RELATED FINANCIAL EVIDENCE (non-EU): means of subsistence of EUR 10,179.85 per year, proven by personal or family financial guarantees or by accredited Italian institutions; plus accommodation documents and health insurance. For the RESIDENCE PERMIT, applicants who have already enrolled submit an enrolment certificate from the Secretary's office (self-certifications are explicitly refused); those not yet enrolled submit the validated Universitaly pre-enrolment summary and forward the enrolment certificate later by PEC to the Questura. Submission is made at a Post Office with the application kit, payment slip, a EUR 16.00 duty stamp and the passport. F) FOR ITALIAN-QUALIFICATION HOLDERS: no dossier - enrolment is fully online through Segrepass, guided by the 'Guida all'immatricolazione online' (https://www.segrepass3.unina.it/GuidaAlleImmatricolazioniOnLine.pdf). The programme publishes no application form, no CV/motivation-letter requirement, no reference-letter requirement and no syllabus/course-contents requirement - notably lighter than sibling Federico II master's programmes, which typically also demand the syllabus. Whether the Commission requests further material case by case is not stated.

  • 1) DEGREE CLASS - THE OUTLINE'S CONFLICT IS RESOLVED, NOT MERELY RECORDED. LM-9 R and LM-9 are the same Italian degree class in two notations. Four independent official sources (ordinamento/RAD, MMBM department sheet, Italian orientamento profile, university ordinamenti index) say LM-9 R; only the structured field of the English orientamento profile says LM-9, and that same English page later refers to 'classes L-2R and LM-9R', contradicting its own field. Treat LM-9 R - Biotecnologie mediche, veterinarie e farmaceutiche as authoritative. 2) NUMBER OF CURRICULA - THE OUTLINE IS OUT OF DATE. The outline assumes a two-curriculum structure. Since a.a. 2025/2026 there are THREE: 'Medico' (Italian), 'Advanced Technologies' (English) and 'Bioinformatico' (Italian). This does not change the status of the Advanced Technologies track, which remains the only English-taught one, but it does change the description of the parent degree. 3) ENGLISH NAME OF THE DEGREE - PLURAL vs SINGULAR. The ordinamento/RAD registers 'Nome del corso in inglese: Medical Biotechnologies' (plural), while every public page - orientamento, the programme site, the department site, the Prospectus - uses 'Medical Biotechnology' (singular). The singular is what applicants will see and what the orientamento page says the diploma title will be in English; the plural is the registered administrative form. A diploma-supplement translation could carry either. 4) CAMPUS POSTCODE INCONSISTENT. via Tommaso De Amicis 95 is given as 80131 by the MMBM course sheet and the University Prospectus, but as 80145 by the University's own CESTEV structure page. The street address is consistent; only the CAP differs. Verify before posting documents. 5) EU APPLICATION-WINDOW CONFLICT - A REAL PLANNING RISK. Both orientamento profiles state that 'L'immatricolazione e l'iscrizione agli anni successivi hanno luogo, dal 1 settembre al 31 marzo di ogni anno' / 'Enrollment and registration for subsequent years take place from September 1 to March 31 each year', which cannot be reconciled with the university-wide 2026/2027 notice fixing first-year enrolment at 16 July - 2 November 2026 and years-after-the-first from 1 September. The course-page sentence conflates matriculation with re-registration and appears to be legacy text. Follow the university notice for matriculation and confirm with the Segreteria. 6) NON-EU APPLICANTS FACE AN EARLY, UNFORGIVING CUT-OFF. Because the course is OPEN access, the 15 June 2026 Universitaly pre-enrolment deadline is effectively absolute: the post-15-June concession is reserved to 'programmes with restricted access'. A non-EU applicant reading only the 2 November enrolment date would badly misjudge the timeline. 7) THE MANDATORY INTERVIEW IS UNDER-DOCUMENTED. Its existence is stated only on the MMBM department course sheet (in the SUA-derived access text) and is absent from the programme's own Admission page, the Manifesto and the Prospectus. No format, language, timing, calendar or assessment criteria are published, and it is unclear whether it applies to every foreign-qualification applicant or only to those whose transcript raises doubts. Contact admissionbiotechnology@unina.it. 8) THE REQUIRED-DOCUMENTS LIST IS UNUSUALLY THIN. The programme asks only for transcripts plus an English B2 certificate - no application form, CV, motivation letter, references or course syllabi, unlike sibling Federico II master's programmes. Whether the Commission requests more case by case is not stated. There is also no published departmental deadline for this submission. 9) ACADEMIC-YEAR LABEL MISMATCH ON THE ENGLISH PROSPECTUS. The file linked from the programme homepage as 'University Prospectus Medical Biotechnology a.y. 2026/27' is internally headed 'Academic Year 2025/2026'. Its substance matches the 2026/2027 Italian Manifesto, so it is treated here as current, but the English document's own year stamp is stale. 10) ITALIAN-LANGUAGE EXEMPTION WORDING. international.unina.it's exemption sentence covers 'a three-year, five-year or single-cycle degree course in ENGLISH', omitting two-year magistral courses, whereas the parallel sentence imposing Italian B2 does list 'magistral degree course'. Read literally this leaves a gap for an English-taught LM. The evident intent is that English-taught courses of any cycle are exempt, and no Italian requirement appears anywhere in this programme's own documents, but a cautious non-EU applicant should confirm with the International Welcome Desk before the Universitaly deadline. 11) NO SEAT OR QUOTA DATA COULD BE CONFIRMED FROM STRUCTURED SOURCES. corsi.unina.it/DG0 - the catalogue sheet that carries SUA-CdS fields for other Federico II courses - is an Angular single-page application returning only a shell title to server-side fetches, and the university's UniversItaly_2026_27.pdf notice is an image-only PDF with no extractable text layer. Both would need a browser session to rule out an internal utenza sostenibile figure or a per-course non-EU contingente. 12) NO FEE PAGE AT COURSE OR DEPARTMENT LEVEL. Amounts come solely from international.unina.it, which does not state which academic year they apply to, and the ISEE-based calculation for Italian students means the EUR 200 figure is a ceiling-style reference rather than a universal charge. 13) TWO COURSE CODES IN CIRCULATION. DG0 applies to students matriculating from 2025/2026 and N79 to earlier matriculations; catalogue links and course lists differ accordingly, and the N79 pages describe the pre-reform two-curriculum structure. Use DG0 sources. 14) MINOR TYPOGRAPHICAL DEFECTS IN OFFICIAL SOURCES, reproduced here verbatim and worth knowing when searching: 'Iyalian' for 'Italian' and 'Eropean' for 'European' on international.unina.it; 'spitted' for 'split' in the Prospectus and on the programme homepage; and a broken department link on the orientamento profile missing the hyphen in '1484538-biotecnologie-mediche'. 15) THE /mediche/lingua PAGE HAS BEEN REPURPOSED. Search engines still surface it as 'Organizzazione della didattica in due curricula', but the live page now serves 'Attivita di tutorato' (tutoring). Any citation of that URL for language/curriculum organisation is stale.
