Kampüs

Naples - Palazzo Gravina, Via Monteoliveto 3, 80134 Napoli. This is the seat of the Dipartimento di Architettura (DiARC) teaching activities for DBE: the programme's own 'Key Information' page states under VENUE DETAILS that applied and didactic activities take place at Palazzo Gravina, via Monteoliveto 3, a few steps from Metro Line 1 stations Dante, Toledo and Universita, Metro Line 2 Montesanto and the Cumana/Funicular Montesanto station. The unina.it course sheet lists the orientation desk at 'Via Monteoliveto,3 - 80134 - Napoli'. corsi.unina.it/DB1 records 'Locations: NAPOLI' (city level only). Related addresses that are NOT the teaching venue: DiARC department headquarters is at Via Toledo 402, 80134 Napoli; the Student Affairs / Segreteria Studenti office for DBE is at Via Forno Vecchio 36, 80134 Napoli. School: Scuola Politecnica e delle Scienze di Base; Department: Dipartimento di Architettura (DiARC).

Kabul Tipi

Open access (accesso libero) with a mandatory documentary/curricular assessment by an Admissions Committee - NOT numero programmato. The decisive rule is stated identically in the SUA-CdS 2026/2027 quadro A3.b and in both versions of the didactic regulation: local programming of admissions was ABOLISHED by Rectoral Decree no. 2360 of 16.06.2017, so admission depends only on verification of the minimum entry prerequisites. Layers that apply in practice: (1) curricular requirements check (bachelor degree class / 180 ECTS - see academic_requirements); (2) verification of the adequacy of personal preparation, which is compulsory in every case and open only to candidates who already meet the curricular requirements; (3) evaluation of the previous academic career by a dedicated Commission whose judgement is final ('il cui giudizio e insindacabile'), with reasoned motivation in case of exclusion; (4) for NON-EU candidates specifically, the programme runs a two-step selection (document dossier then online interview) before the Universitaly pre-enrolment, and the portfolio + CV request - discretionary for others - is MANDATORY for non-EU applicants. Entry is possible in BOTH the first and the second semester ('E possibile accedere alla Laurea magistrale sia nel primo che nel secondo semestre'); second-semester entry arrangements are set each year by CCD resolutions. Note that the unina.it legacy course sheet (/-/9359732) still shows the stale field 'Accesso al Corso: Laurea di 1 livello - Numero programmato; Laurea di 2 livello in base al riconoscimento di CFU in specifici SSD' - this contradicts the 2017 decree and the current SUA-CdS and orientamento data ('Admission Libero'). See uncertainty_notes.

Resmî Eğitim Dili

English (100%). corsi.unina.it/DB1 lists 'Language: English'; the orientamento course profile lists 'Language ENG'; the university International Course Catalogue lists it under '2-year Master's degrees (LM) > Architecture > Design For The Built Environment - ENG' (single ENG marking, no IT/ENG dual marking). The didactic regulation states 'Il CdS e tenuto in lingua inglese' and the SUA-CdS 2026/2027 states the course is 'tenuto esclusivamente in lingua inglese'. IMPORTANT NUANCE: although teaching is entirely in English, the DBE didactic regulation additionally requires graduates to be able to use Italian fluently and provides that Italian level is checked in an interview at admission; if the level is insufficient the student must include Italian-language strengthening activities in the study plan. This is a DBE-specific rule and it conflicts with the general international.unina.it statement that English-taught programmes do not require Italian B2 (see uncertainty_notes).

Başvuru takvimi

AB / AEA adayları

For EU (and Italian) candidates for a.y. 2026/2027 there is NO single published selection deadline, because the programme is open access; instead a sequence of windows applies. (A) Programme-level timeline from the official 'DBE application smart guide - academic year 2026>2027': Italian applicants 'from FEB 15th'; EU applicants 'from APR 1st*' get in touch with the Italian Embassy/Consulate in their country to obtain (1) the DOV (Declaration of Value) and (2) the Transcript of records; 'from SEP 1st*' Italian applicants complete the online application at www.segrepass2.unina.it and EU applicants complete on-site enrolment; courses start in the 'second week of OCT*'. The asterisk is defined in the guide as '*expected', i.e. these dates are indicative. (B) University-level enrolment window for 2026/2027 (Guida all'iscrizione a.a. 2026-27 and orientamento.unina.it, news of 14 July 2026): first-year enrolment in a Laurea Magistrale can be done from 16 July 2026; the ordinary enrolment period closes on 2 NOVEMBER 2026 (the orientamento news page words it as 'a partire dal 16 luglio e fino al 31 ottobre 2026'; the fee guide's instalment table and 'important dates' table both give 2 November 2026 as the ordinary deadline - see uncertainty_notes). Extraordinary period opens 3 November 2026; late enrolment is possible with a surcharge of EUR 50 up to 15 January 2027 and EUR 110 from 16 January 2027. (C) Outer limit specific to master's degrees: 'Le iscrizioni al primo anno dei corsi di laurea magistrali potranno essere effettuate entro il 31 marzo 2027' - i.e. first-year LM enrolment is possible until 31 MARCH 2027, but anyone enrolling after 31 December 2026 may be required by the course's CCD to first earn between 6 and 12 CFU through single-course enrolment (those single-course fees are refunded if the CFU were earned at Federico II and the LM enrolment is completed by 31 March 2027). (D) Because DBE allows entry in the second semester as well, additional windows may be opened by CCD resolution each year. NOTE: the orientamento.unina.it DBE profile still carries an obsolete line 'EU citizens can apply on line by SEPTEMBER 1st 2019' - that date is stale content, not a 2026/27 deadline.

AB / AEA dışı adaylar

For NON-EU candidates residing abroad and needing a visa, a.y. 2026/2027: (A) PROGRAMME-LEVEL two-step selection ('DBE application smart guide 26/27'): the extra-EU column opens 'from FEB 15th' with the FIRST SELECTIVE STEP (dossier sent by e-mail to infodiarcdbe@unina.it) followed by a SECOND SELECTIVE STEP consisting of an online interview. Only after passing both steps does the candidate apply on www.universitaly.it and obtain a formal pre-admission letter to finalise pre-enrolment. From 'APR 1st*' the candidate contacts the Italian Embassy in their country to start the student-visa issuing process, and the guide prints 'deadline: May 15th' against that extra-EU step. The smart guide does not state in words whether 15 May is the cut-off for the programme's own selection dossier, for obtaining the pre-admission letter, or for the embassy/visa step - it is printed as a single line in the extra-EU column of the APR 1st row. Treat 15 MAY 2026 as the programme's practical internal cut-off and verify with infodiarcdbe@unina.it. From 'SEP 1st*' extra-EU candidates complete on-site enrolment; courses start in the 'second week of OCT*'. All these dates carry the guide's '*expected' marker. (B) UNIVERSITY-LEVEL hard deadlines published on international.unina.it: 'JUNE - 15 - 2026 - Pre-enrolment application deadline to University of Naples Federico II. After this date no programme changes are permitted. After this date pre-enrolment is allowed to the programmes with restricted access only.' Because DBE is an OPEN-ACCESS course, this means Universitaly pre-enrolment for DBE is NOT possible after 15 June 2026. And: 'NOVEMBER - 30 - 2026 - Deadline for submitting the Visa Application at Iyalian [sic] Embassies /Consulates.' (C) A further ministerial rule applies: as of 31 January (the 2025/26 brochure states 'As of January 31, 2026'), candidates for bachelor's and master's programmes who are not yet enrolled have their entry visa revoked and the diplomatic representation notifies the police authorities; the equivalent 2027 date for the 2026/27 intake was not found on unina.it. (D) Order of operations required by Federico II for master's applicants: 'Before starting the pre-enrolment procedure on Universitaly platform you must obtain the pre-acceptance letter issued by the Course Coordinator.' (E) Non-EU candidates who do NOT need a visa (legally resident in Italy or in an EU country) have unrestricted access, do not pre-register on Universitaly, and submit their academic documents directly to the Course Coordinator. (F) Once enrolled, the university-level enrolment calendar in application_deadline_eu (ordinary period to 2 November 2026, LM outer limit 31 March 2027) also governs the matriculation step.

Kabul koşulları

Akademik geçmiş
  • Seats (total): Not applicable for 2026/2027 - there is no seat cap. Local programming of admissions was abolished by Rectoral Decree no. 2360 of 16.06.2017, and the SUA-CdS 2026/2027 states admission is subject only to verification of the minimum entry prerequisites. A figure of '80' seats is still visible on an ARCHIVED unina.it course sheet for this programme (/-/12778410, a page whose own academic-year field reads 2016/2017) and was repeated in 2015-era coverage; that number predates the 2017 decree and should NOT be treated as a current quota. No current 'posti disponibili' figure for DBE was found on any 2026/27 unina.it source. | Seats (non-EU reserved): No reserved non-EU quota (contingente riservato) for this programme was found on any unina.it source for 2026/2027. This is consistent with the programme being open access: Federico II publishes explicit EU / non-EU / Chinese-citizen seat splits only for numero programmato courses (e.g. the single-cycle Architecture programme, Medicine, Dentistry, Veterinary). For DBE the non-EU pathway is instead gated by the programme's own two-step selection plus the university-wide Universitaly pre-enrolment deadline of 15 June 2026, not by a numerical quota. Verify with infodiarcdbe@unina.it or pre-enrolment@unina.it if a quota is needed.
  • 1) A first-cycle degree (Laurea di I livello / bachelor's / first degree / undergraduate degree), normally a three- or four-year course corresponding to AT LEAST 180 ECTS. 2) For Italian qualifications, the degree must belong to one of these classes: L-04 (Disegno Industriale / Industrial Design)
  • L-03 (Arti figurative / Visual - Fine Arts)

ENGLISH: a certified level of at least B2 CEFR is a PREREQUISITE FOR MATRICULATION for all candidates ('E richiesto un livello di conoscenza della lingua inglese non inferiore al B2 del Quadro Comune di riferimento per la conoscenza delle lingue (QCER)'). If the candidate does NOT hold such a certificate, a Commission appointed for the purpose assesses the candidate's English before the matriculation file is finalised; the programme describes this in English as 'their English knowledge will be tested on site by a departmental committee trough an interview'. For non-EU candidates an 'English Proficiency Certificate' is one of the eight documents required in the first selective step, so in practice non-EU applicants are expected to hold the certificate up front. NO list of accepted certifying bodies and NO minimum score table (IELTS/TOEFL band, etc.) is published on any unina.it page found for this programme - unlike some other Federico II English-taught programmes which publish an explicit list. Third-party aggregator sites quote 'TOEFL 80 / IELTS 6.5' for this programme but this figure could NOT be confirmed on any unina.it source and must not be relied on. ITALIAN: the DBE didactic regulation (extract quoted in SUA-CdS 2026/2027 quadro A3.b, regulation in force from 2025/2026) requires graduates to have, or to acquire during the two-year programme, the ability to use Italian fluently; at admission, during an interview, the level of Italian is verified, and if it is not sufficient the student MUST include Italian-language learning and strengthening activities in the study plan. No Italian certificate level is specified and no candidate is excluded for lack of Italian - it triggers a study-plan obligation, not a rejection. This DBE-specific rule coexists with the general university rule on international.unina.it that for degree courses taught in ENGLISH 'level B2 Italian language proficiency is not required'.

Sınav / değerlendirme

No written admission exam, no TOLC, no SAT, no national test and no ranking-based competition - the programme is open access and the 2017 rectoral decree removed local programming. What exists instead: (1) A COMPULSORY verification of the adequacy of personal preparation ('La verifica della personale preparazione e obbligatoria in ogni caso'), carried out as a documentary assessment of the previous academic career by a dedicated Admissions Commission whose decision is final; exclusions must be reasoned. (2) A possible PORTFOLIO + CV review (illustrated individual portfolio plus CV) - discretionary for Italian/EU candidates, MANDATORY for non-EU candidates from non-EU-aligned education systems. Italian and EU candidates can also be routed to a formalised entry-evaluation Commission. (3) An ONLINE INTERVIEW - this is the explicit SECOND SELECTIVE STEP for non-EU applicants in the 2026/27 Application Smart Guide. (4) An ENGLISH LANGUAGE INTERVIEW before an appointed departmental committee, but only for candidates who do not hold a B2 English certificate. (5) An ITALIAN LANGUAGE INTERVIEW ('colloquio') at admission, which does not exclude the candidate but can impose compulsory Italian-language activities in the study plan. Portfolio requirements (page count, format, submission platform) and interview scoring criteria are not published on any unina.it page found.

Hazırlanacak belgeler

  • A) PROGRAMME-SPECIFIC SELECTION DOSSIER for non-EU applicants (FIRST SELECTIVE STEP, sent to infodiarcdbe@unina.it, per the 2026/27 Application Smart Guide) - eight items: 1) Letter of Motivation; 2) Portfolio; 3) English Proficiency Certificate; 4) CV; 5) Passport scan; 6) Bachelor Degree Certificate (in English); 7) Transcript of records (in English); 8) Letter of presentation by one of your former University Professors. This is followed by a SECOND SELECTIVE STEP: an online interview. B) PORTFOLIO + CV under the didactic regulation: the Commission may require documentation of design, academic and professional activity 'sotto forma di un portfolio individuale illustrato e di un CV'; this request is DISCRETIONARY for Italian/EU candidates but takes on 'carattere obbligatorio' (mandatory character) for non-EU students whose qualification comes from an education system not aligned with EU rules. Italian and EU students may also be assessed through a dedicated entry-evaluation Commission. C) FOR EU / ITALIAN-RESIDENT candidates with a foreign qualification (international.unina.it): academic documents sent to the Course Coordinator, plus any documentation the University deems necessary for evaluating the foreign qualification - translations, legalisations, Diploma Supplement, certificates of examinations, CIMEA (Italian ENIC-NARIC) statements, and any Declaration of Value issued by the competent diplomatic representation. The DBE smart guide asks EU applicants specifically to obtain from the Embassy/Consulate: (1) DOV and (2) Transcript of records. D) FOR NON-EU visa applicants, documents to take to the Italian Embassy: the summary of the Universitaly pre-enrolment application validated by Federico II; any language competence certificates; the documents required for the visa application including a health insurance policy where applicable; and the required documents for a foreign qualification. The Declaration of Value and the CIMEA Statements of Comparability and Verification must be issued BEFORE the pre-enrolment and uploaded to the Universitaly application. Important: 'The University of Naples Federico II does not issue admission letters for obtaining a visa' (the DBE pre-admission letter is a programme-level document generated via Universitaly). E) DOCUMENTS REQUIRED AT ENROLMENT / MATRICULATION (international.unina.it): copy of passport; application form; 1 passport photo; Italian tax code (codice fiscale); residence permit (or proof of having applied for it); Declaration of Value issued by the Italian Embassy in the country where the degree was obtained, or certificate of validity issued by ENIC-NARIC centres. F) FEE-RELATED: an ISEEU declaration must be retrievable from the INPS database at the time of the first instalment; without it the maximum contribution is charged.

  • 1) ACCESS TYPE CONFLICT (resolved but worth flagging): the legacy unina.it sheet /-/9359732 still prints 'Numero programmato' in the 'Accesso al Corso' field, while the SUA-CdS 2026/2027, both didactic regulations and orientamento.unina.it ('Admission Libero') all state that local programming was abolished by Rectoral Decree 2360/16.06.2017. The 2026/27 sources win; the legacy field is stale. 2) SEATS: the '80 seats' figure exists only on the archived 2016/2017 unina.it sheet /-/12778410 and in 2015-era material - it predates the 2017 decree and is marked uncertain rather than reported as current. 3) NON-EU DEADLINE AMBIGUITY: the 26/27 smart guide prints 'deadline: May 15th' in the extra-EU column next to the 'from APR 1st*' embassy/visa row, without saying what exactly it terminates (selection dossier? pre-admission letter? embassy appointment?). All smart-guide dates carry a '*expected' footnote. The hard university-level cut-off is 15 June 2026 for Universitaly pre-enrolment. Confirm with infodiarcdbe@unina.it. 4) EU ENROLMENT DATE CONFLICT: orientamento.unina.it says the 2026/27 enrolment window runs '16 luglio ... fino al 31 ottobre 2026' while the official 2026-27 fee/enrolment guide gives 2 November 2026 both in the instalment table and in the 'important dates' table (3 November 2026 opens the extraordinary period). 2 November 2026 is the figure in the binding guide. 5) TUITION CONFLICT: international.unina.it quotes flat figures ('European students EUR 200/year tuition + EUR 140/year regional tax + EUR 16 stamp; Non-european students EUR 140/year regional fee + EUR 16 stamp') that do not match the 2026-27 official fee guide (ISEEU-based, up to EUR 2,384.00 contribution; regional tax EUR 130/151/173). Treat the international.unina.it figures as outdated. 6) ENGLISH CERTIFICATE LIST MISSING: no unina.it page for this programme publishes the accepted certifying bodies or minimum test scores; the widely-quoted 'TOEFL 80 / IELTS 6.5' comes only from third-party aggregators and is NOT confirmed by any official source. 7) ITALIAN LANGUAGE CONFLICT: the DBE regulation and SUA-CdS require an Italian-level interview at admission (with a study-plan obligation if insufficient), whereas international.unina.it states English-taught programmes do not require Italian B2. Note that the intermediate version of the regulation (in force from a.a. 2024-2025, PDF dated 2025) omits the Italian paragraph, while the version quoted inside the SUA-CdS 2026/2027 as 'in vigore dal 2025/2026' reinstates it - the operative 2026/27 text does include the Italian interview. 8) CURRICULA NAMING CONFLICT: the SUA-CdS 2026/2027 names the two second-year curricula 'Digital Design' and 'Interior Design', while the orientamento profile and the 26/27 smart guide's didactic-path diagram name them 'Exhibit Design' and 'Digital Design'. The underlying second curriculum covers interior/exhibition/temporary-space design in both descriptions; the label is unresolved. 9) DEGREE CLASS: the outline records 'LM-12'; the current catalogue and 2024-25 regulation write 'LM-12 R - Design'. The 'R' (reformed class) suffix is not explained on any unina.it page found. 10) COORDINATOR: current coordinator is Alfonso Morone (corsi.unina.it, orientamento, both regulations). The archived 2016/2017 sheet names Mario Losasso - historical, not current. 11) STALE CONTENT ON OFFICIAL PAGES: the orientamento DBE profile still contains 'EU citizens can apply on line by SEPTEMBER 1st 2019'; international.unina.it/eu-students-enrolment/ still shows a 'July 15, 2022' Universitaly deadline; the DBE 'Application' parent page still links the 25/26 smart guide. Only the pages carrying explicit 2026/2027 dates were used for deadline fields. 12) TLS NOTE: www.diarc.dbe.unina.it presented an expired certificate on 30 Ağustos 2026, so its pages and PDFs were read over an unverified TLS connection; all substantive claims taken from that host were cross-checked against corsi.unina.it, unina.it or orientamento.unina.it where equivalent statements exist. 13) NO PROGRAMME-SPECIFIC BANDO exists, so official_call_url lists functional equivalents instead. 14) Rectoral Decree no. 2360 of 16.06.2017 is cited in official texts but the decree PDF itself was not located online. 15) NON-EU QUOTA: absence of a published contingent is inferred from the open-access status and from the fact that Federico II publishes EU/non-EU seat splits only for numero programmato courses; this is an inference, not an explicit official statement.
