Kampüs

Naples - Fuorigrotta engineering campus. Teaching venue: Via Claudio 21, 80125 Napoli, Building 5 (Edificio 5). orientamento.unina.it states under 'Directions - Links': 'Site/address: Via Claudio 21, 80125 Napoli (IT), Bulding 5'; the programme website footer gives '21 Via Claudio, Napoli, Italy'. This is the seat of the Dipartimento di Ingegneria Civile, Edile e Ambientale (DICEA), School: Scuola Politecnica e delle Scienze di Base. Related but DIFFERENT addresses: (a) the Student Affairs office where in-person enrolment must be completed is 'Segreteria Studenti Area didattica Ingegneria, Piazzale Tecchio, 80 - 80125 Napoli' (weekdays 09:00-12:00); (b) the Engineering orientation desk on the unina.it course sheet is also 'Piazzale Tecchio, 80 - 80125 - Napoli'; (c) part of the ITS and Virtual Reality laboratory (driving simulators) sits at the CNR 'Istituto Motori', Via Marconi, Napoli, with the rest at Building 5, Via Claudio 21. The legacy unina.it course sheet records 'Locations: NAPOLI' at city level only. Note this is NOT the Monte Sant'Angelo, Policlinico, Portici, San Giovanni a Teduccio or Frullone campus.

CONFLICTING OFFICIAL SOURCES - see uncertainty_notes. (2) By contrast, orientamento.unina.it - the university's own official course profile - shows 'Admission Libero' (open access) and states 'Admission to the degree course is free, subject to verification of possession of the curricular and personal culture requirements'; the legacy unina.it course sheet shows only 'Accesso al Corso: Laurea di 1 livello' with no numero programmato marking; and the programme's EU recruitment page advertises 'no barriers or learning debts' and 'Access from almost any BSc in the engineering area'. WHAT IS CERTAIN IN EITHER READING: admission requires (a) a curricular-requirements check and (b) a COMPULSORY assessment of the adequacy of personal preparation, which only candidates who already meet the curricular requirements may access ('La verifica della preparazione personale e sempre obbligatoria e possono accedervi solo gli studenti in possesso dei requisiti curriculari'). There is AUTOMATIC admission for candidates who hold an L7/L8/L9 (or equivalent foreign) bachelor's and a weighted average of at least 27/30; candidates below that threshold are assessed at the unappealable discretion of the CCD, possibly via an interview or test. NON-EU applicants needing a visa additionally face a separate, competitive pre-admission selection run by the programme itself in waves, before Universitaly pre-enrolment. NOT a national numero chiuso, NOT TOLC, NOT SAT.

Resmî Eğitim Dili

English (100% of teaching). The ordinamento records 'Lingua in cui si tiene il corso: inglese'; the didactic regulation Art. 1 states 'Il CdS e tenuto in inglese e in modalita mista'; orientamento.unina.it lists 'Language ENG'; the university International Course Catalogue lists it under '2-year Master's degrees (LM)' as 'Transportation Engineering and Mobility - ENG' (single ENG marking, no IT/ENG dual marking); the programme site states 'The Course is taught in English'. Theses must also be written and defended in English ('Le tesi devono essere redatte in lingua inglese'; 'The discussion must be in English'). IMPORTANT DELIVERY NUANCE: the course is officially a BLENDED course ('Modalita di svolgimento: b. Corso di studio in modalita mista'), and the regulation caps online delivery at 60%: 'L'attivita didattica e svolta in modalita mista, con un massimo del 60% delle attivita che possono essere svolte in modalita online'. In practice several first-semester first-year subjects are delivered 'online and in presence' and the programme explicitly allows a delayed-visa student to follow the first semester online, but examinations can only be taken in person after final enrolment in Naples. No Italian-language requirement is imposed for admission (unlike some other Federico II English-taught programmes).

EU (including Italian) applicants face NO pre-admission selection and NO separate application deadline - they go straight to enrolment. Programme admission schedule table: for EU students, 'Selection for pre-admission: not required / not applicable' and 'Application for visa (UniversItaly): not required / not applicable'; 'Final Enrolment (in-person at the Students' office in Naples): from mid-July to the end of November'. THE BINDING UNIVERSITY DEADLINE for 2026/2027, from the official 'Guida all'iscrizione Anno accademico 2026-27' section 6: first-year enrolment in two-year master's programmes may be completed UP TO 31 MARCH 2027 - 'Le iscrizioni al primo anno dei corsi di laurea magistrali potranno essere effettuate entro il 31 marzo 2027' - but anyone enrolling AFTER 31 DECEMBER 2026 may be required by the course CCD to first earn between 6 and 12 CFU through corsi singoli (single-course enrolment), with those fees refunded if the credits were taken at Federico II and the LM enrolment is completed by 31 March 2027. THE ORDINARY WINDOW, from the same Guide's date table: first instalment payable 'Dal 16 luglio (immatricolazioni L o iscrizioni I anno LM) o dall'1 settembre ed entro il 2 novembre 2026'; '16 LUGLIO 2026 - Inizio periodo ordinario immatricolazione' and '2 NOVEMBRE 2026 - Scadenza periodo ordinario immatricolazione e iscrizione'. Second instalment by 1 March 2027, third by 30 April 2027; the Guide warns 'le date di scadenza possono essere soggette a variazioni'. THE PROGRAMME'S OWN 2026 EU RECRUITMENT PAGE says: 'The 2026 EU recruitment is open until December 2026 (with the deadline postponed until March in past years).' OTHER OFFICIAL PAGES GIVE NARROWER, INCONSISTENT WINDOWS: orientamento.unina.it says 'First-year enrolment and enrolment in subsequent years usually take usually place from 16 July to 31 October of each year'; the DICEA Student's Guide says 'from 1 September to 31 October of each year'; the admission page says final enrolment 'starts in mid-July or early September and ends in December; however, the registration deadline is likely (but not guaranteed) to be postponed to March of the following year'. The Guide's 31 March 2027 date is the authoritative one. Italian students may enrol ONLINE via Segrepass (www.segrepass1.unina.it); non-Italian citizens - including EU citizens - must enrol IN PERSON at the Segreteria Studenti ('Coloro che presentano una cittadinanza straniera dovranno effettuare l'iscrizione presso gli sportelli delle Segreterie Studenti, non potranno usare la procedura on-line'), which the programme confirms: 'Online enrolment is not allowed (except for Italian candidate students).' Classes start mid-September (first term) or mid-March / beginning of March (second term); second-semester entry is explicitly supported.

Non-EU applicants resident abroad who need a study visa must complete a FOUR-STEP programme-run pre-admission process BEFORE Universitaly, on dates published on the '2026 intake page'. STEP 1 - register as an applicant on the MSc website: 'The registration period is from February 23rd to May 30th. Late registrations after May 30th are disregarded.' Account activation is vetted by the Admission Committee, generally within 48 hours. STEP 2 - complete the user profile and upload documents: 'from February 23rd to May 23rd (deadline)'. STEP 3 - selection results, communicated by email in five waves; within each wave, applications received up to ten days before the deadline are processed. The published wave table reads: Wave 1 - 10 March 2025; Wave 2 - 31 May 2025; Wave 3 - 21 April 2025; Wave 4 - 12 May 2025; Wave 5 - 26 May 2025 - the YEARS ARE STALE (2025 on a 2026 intake page) and Wave 2 is out of chronological order, so these are almost certainly copy-paste errors for 2026 dates; see uncertainty_notes. STEP 4 - Universitaly visa application and request for the pre-admission (offer) letter: 'The deadline for applying on the UniversItaly platform is June 15th 2026.' This matches international.unina.it, which publishes 'JUNE - 15 - 2026 - Pre-enrolment application deadline' and 'NOVEMBER - 30 - 2026 - Deadline for submitting the Visa Application'. The programme's own schedule table summarises: 'Selection for pre-admission: from mid-February to the 30th of May'; 'Application for visa (UniversItaly): from early April to the 15th of June'; 'Final Enrolment (in-person at the Students' office in Naples): from early September to the end of November'. The narrative text below that table gives slightly different windows - pre-admission 'open from mid-February to the end of May', visa 'open from mid-March to mid-June', in-person enrolment 'open from mid-July to December' - and elsewhere 'from mid-February to mid-June'. FINAL ENROLMENT is in person only, at Segreteria Studenti Area didattica Ingegneria, Piazzale Tecchio 80, weekdays 09:00-12:00; the university-wide backstop of 31 March 2027 for first-year LM enrolment (Guida all'iscrizione 2026-27) also applies, and the admission page notes the deadline 'is likely (but not guaranteed) to be postponed to March of the following year'. IMPORTANT CONDITIONS: the registered e-mail address can never be changed and must be used identically on Universitaly, otherwise the offer letter cannot be matched to the visa application; to obtain the pre-admission letter the candidate must declare they will apply for a visa for Federico II ONLY and will disregard every other Italian offer letter; a Universitaly demand ID must be supplied before the letter is issued; and the pre-admission letter confers candidate status only, never student status. Non-EU students who ALREADY hold an Italian study visa skip pre-admission entirely and go directly to in-person enrolment. In case of a delayed visa, the first semester of year one can be followed online, but exams require in-person final enrolment.

Akademik geçmiş
  • Seats (total): 100 per year . The didactic regulation in force from a.a. 2025-2026, Art. 5 comma 2, sets programmed access and fixes the cap for the first year of activation at 100, with implicit rollover: 'Per il primo anno di attivazione del corso di studi, il numero massimo di accessi annuali consentiti e fissato in 100' and 'Il numero massimo consentito di nuovi accessi viene stabilito annualmente dalla CCD, con implicita conferma di quello dell'anno precedente nel caso in cui non venga stabilito un nuovo limite.' No 2026/2027 CCD resolution setting a different number was found on unina.it, so the 100 figure is the best available reading. HOWEVER this directly conflicts with orientamento.unina.it, which shows 'Admission Libero' (open access, i.e. no cap), and with the legacy unina.it course sheet, which carries no numero programmato marking. No seat number is published on the programme's own website, on the intake pages or on international.unina.it. Treat 100 as the regulation-declared ceiling rather than a confirmed published quota for 2026/27.
  • PRIMARY (automatic route to the compulsory personal-preparation check): a first-cycle Italian degree (Laurea) in one of the classes L-7 (Ingegneria civile e ambientale / Civil and Environmental Engineering), L-8 (Ingegneria dell'informazione / Computer and ICT Engineering) or L-9 (Ingegneria industriale / Industrial Engineering), 'ovvero altro titolo di studio conseguito all'estero, riconosciuto idoneo' (or another foreign qualification recognised as suitable). ALTERNATIVE ROUTE (for candidates without an engineering bachelor's): at least an EQF level 6 qualification PLUS the following curricular credit thresholds, stated in the didactic regulation Art. 4 in the new Italian SSD codes with the old codes in brackets: (1) at least 36 CFU in the basic-science groups INFO-01/A (ex INF/01), MATH-01/A to MATH-06/A (ex MAT/01-MAT/09), STAT-01/B (ex SECS-S/02), CHEM-03/A (ex CHIM/03), CHEM-06/A (ex CHIM/07), PHYS-04/A (ex FIS/01), PHYS-06/A (ex FIS/07); AND (2) at least 39 CFU across CEAR-01/A to CEAR-07/A (ex ICAR/01-ICAR/09) - with a MINIMUM OF 18 CFU inside this civil-engineering block - plus IINF-01/A to IINF-05/A (ex ING-INF/01-05), IMIS-01/B (ex ING-INF/07), IIND-07/A (ex ING-IND/10), IIND-07/B (ex ING-IND/11), IIND-02/A to IIND-04/A (ex ING-IND/13-16), IMAT-01/A (ex ING-IND/22), IIET-01/A (ex ING-IND/31), IIND-08/A (ex ING-IND/32), IIND-08/B (ex ING-IND/33), IEGE-01/A (ex ING-IND/35). For studies done abroad, the correspondence between the required SSD and the applicant's actual coursework 'sara esplicitamente valutato e considerato valido ai soli fini dell'accesso alla verifica obbligatoria'. NOTE the sub-threshold of 18 CFU inside the CEAR (civil) block appears ONLY in the didactic regulation; the programme's English-language admission page and the orientamento profile state the 36 + 39 ECTS thresholds without it. NOTE ALSO that the programme's public pages describe the alternative route more loosely ('at least 39 ETCS in industrial engineering, information and communication technology, or civil engineering'). PERSONAL PREPARATION: compulsory for everyone. Automatic verification (and automatic admission) if the weighted average of exam marks - weighted by CFU/ECTS and converted to a /30 scale where necessary - is at least 27/30. Below that, the CCD assesses the marks obtained in the characterising subjects and may impose an interview/test; if judged insufficient the CCD may require curricular integrations before re-applying (via corsi singoli at Federico II before matriculation, or via enrolment in another Federico II LM giving automatic access, or via enrolment in TEAM with an individual study plan carrying the integrations in the initial phase, under DM 16 March 2007 art. 6). For NON-EU applicants the programme also weighs a CV, motivation letter, detailed course descriptions and (optionally but helpfully) recommendation letters, DoV/CIMEA statements, accommodation/sponsorship statements and a financial guarantee of EUR 6,500/year for two years. The programme warns that 'the master's degree in Transportation Engineering And Mobilty requires a solid mathematical background'. A completed (graduated) bachelor's is required: 'students should have attained the final Bachelor's graduation'.
Dil yeterliliği

ENGLISH: level B2 or higher on the CEFR, required of EVERY applicant - EU and non-EU alike - and stated identically in the binding regulation and on every public page. Regulation Art. 5 comma 4 makes the language check the FIRST element of the compulsory personal-preparation assessment: 'L'accertamento della preparazione personale avviene, in primo luogo e in tutti i casi, relativamente al possesso di adeguate competenze linguistiche'. Programme site: 'Candidate students should provide evidence of English language proficiency at B2 or higher (CEFR level).' ACCEPTED CERTIFICATES: those issued by bodies recognised by the University of Naples Federico II - the programme lists Cambridge, BEC, Trinity, IELTS, TOEFL, and 'Others (including Duolingo)'. The DICEA Student's Guide adds that the certificate may be 'issued by the University of Naples Federico II or a higher-level body recognized by the University of Naples Federico II'. EXEMPTION: 'citizens of countries where English is the native language are exempted from the language proficiency certificate.' EXPLICITLY NO LONGER ACCEPTED: Medium of Instruction letters - 'Note that MOI (Medium of Instruction) certificates are no longer accepted.' TIMING FOR NON-EU CANDIDATES: the certificate must exist before the selection is assessed - 'the pre-admission selection for non-EU students will not be processed without an English certificate' - because a later internal test would clash with embassy visa procedures. A copy of the English certificate is again required at in-person enrolment. ITALIAN: NOT required. No Italian B2 requirement appears in the ordinamento, the didactic regulation, the programme site or orientamento.unina.it, consistent with international.unina.it's general rule that applicants choosing English-taught programmes are exempt from the Italian B2 test; international.unina.it does note that an international English certificate 'is useful for the issue of the visa'. No specific minimum band scores (IELTS band, TOEFL score) are published anywhere on unina.it for this programme - only the B2 CEFR level. Note the LM-23 class objectives require graduates to be fluent in at least one foreign language besides Italian, which for this course is satisfied by English.

Sınav / değerlendirme

NO standardised entrance examination. There is no TOLC, no SAT, no GRE/GMAT and no national numero chiuso test for this programme. What exists instead: (1) A COMPULSORY assessment of personal preparation ('verifica della preparazione personale ... sempre obbligatoria'), which for well-qualified candidates is a purely documentary/automatic check - automatic admission at a weighted average of at least 27/30 for candidates already meeting the curricular requirements. (2) For candidates below that threshold, a DISCRETIONARY and unappealable CCD evaluation of the marks in the characterising subjects, which MAY include a personal assessment by interview or test: 'disponendo eventualmente una valutazione personale tramite colloqui, test e altro, finalizzata a verificare l'adeguatezza della preparazione personale'. So an interview is possible but not routine and not guaranteed. (3) For NON-EU visa applicants, a documentary pre-admission SELECTION run by the programme director, supported by an admission committee, on the documents uploaded to the applicant's profile on the intake webpage - assessed in successive waves with outcomes of selection, refusal or DEFERRAL to a later wave. No test or interview is described for this selection; it is a dossier review. (4) ENGLISH: the B2 requirement is met by certificate; the regulation allows a certificate 'issued by the University of Naples Federico II', i.e. an internal English test is a possible route to the certificate, but for non-EU candidates the certificate must be in hand before the pre-admission selection is processed ('the pre-admission selection for non-EU students will not be processed without an English certificate'). The separate DICEA 'Placement Test di Inglese' for LM Engineering courses documented on dicea.unina.it is an OLD (2021) instrument listing Italian-taught LM programmes and does not list TEAM. (5) For EU/Italian applicants the programme only suggests an OPTIONAL online meeting with the Programme Director via Calendly - explicitly a counselling step, not an examination.

  • 1) ACCESS TYPE - the single most important conflict. The didactic regulation in force from a.a. 2025-2026 (Art. 5 comma 2) declares 'accesso programmato' with an annually predetermined maximum, set at 100 for the first year of activation and implicitly rolled over. The university's own official course profile at orientamento.unina.it declares 'Admission Libero' (open access), the legacy unina.it course sheet shows no numero programmato marking, and the programme's EU recruitment page advertises access 'with no barriers or learning debts'. In practice EU/Italian applicants appear to enrol without competing for places, while non-EU applicants ARE selected competitively by the programme's own wave-based pre-admission process (which can refuse or defer). Verify with the CCD/programme director before relying on either reading. 2) SEATS - the '100' figure is a regulation ceiling for the first activation year with implicit rollover; it is NOT a published 2026/27 quota, and no CCD resolution setting the current-year number was found. 3) NON-EU RESERVED SEATS - no number is published anywhere on unina.it for this programme; a de facto ceiling arises from the MUR rule limiting Universitaly validations to the declared international intake plus 20%. 4) NON-EU WAVE DATES - the 2026 intake page's wave table shows 2025 years (10 March 2025, 31 May 2025, 21 April 2025, 12 May 2025, 26 May 2025) and lists wave 2 out of chronological order; these are almost certainly uncorrected 2025 values, so the true 2026 wave deadlines are unknown. The step deadlines (registration 23 Feb - 30 May; profile completion 23 Feb - 23 May; Universitaly 15 June 2026) are internally consistent and match international.unina.it. 5) INTERNALLY INCONSISTENT DEADLINE WORDING - the admission page's schedule table (visa window 'from early April to the 15th of June'), its narrative text ('open from mid-March to mid-June' and elsewhere 'from mid-February to mid-June'), the 2026 EU page ('open until December 2026'), orientamento ('16 July to 31 October'), the DICEA Student's Guide ('1 September to 31 October') and the Guida all'iscrizione ('entro il 31 marzo 2027', ordinary window 16 July - 2 November 2026) do not agree. The Guida all'iscrizione is the binding source. 6) REGIONAL TAX AMOUNT - the programme quotes EUR 140/year; the 2026-27 Guida sets 130 / 151 / 173 EUR by ISEEU band. The programme figure is stale. Likewise the flat 'EUR 200/year' for EU non-Italians is correct only under the Guida's condition that the ordinary contribution due would be at least 200 EUR. 7) DEGREE NAME MISMATCH - the Italian legal title is 'Ingegneria dei Trasporti e della Mobilita'; the English name 'Transportation Engineering and Mobility' is the one used on the diploma-supplement-facing pages and in the ordinamento's 'Nome del corso in inglese' field. The internal code is DD7 for the current LM-23 R course while legacy pages and docenti.unina.it still carry P55 / content id 26288497 for the pre-adjustment course. 8) DEGREE CLASS SUFFIX - LM-23 R in the ordinamento and the regulation repository folder; plain LM-23 in the didactic regulation heading, the Student's Guide, orientamento and the legacy course sheet. Same class. 9) ACADEMIC YEAR OF THE REGULATION - only the a.a. 2025-2026 regulation and ordinamento are published in the university repository (no 2026-27 DICEA folder exists yet); the curricular requirements and the access rules quoted here are therefore the 2025-26 versions, presumed still in force for 2026/27. 10) ORIENTAMENTO PAGE FRESHNESS - its most recent linked study plan is 'Study Plan 2024/2025', so parts of that profile may lag the current year. 11) ENGLISH CERTIFICATE THRESHOLDS - only 'B2 CEFR' is published; no minimum IELTS band, TOEFL score or Duolingo score is stated anywhere on unina.it for this programme, so applicants cannot verify in advance which score satisfies B2. 12) APPLICATION FORM - as captured, only the superseded 2025-26 in-person enrolment form is downloadable; the 2026 intake form was not yet prepared. 13) DICEA ENGLISH PLACEMENT TEST - the dicea.unina.it 'Calendario del Placement Test di Inglese - Corsi LM Ingegneria' page is from 2021 and lists Italian-taught LM programmes; it does not appear to apply to TEAM, whose B2 is met by certificate, but this was not positively confirmed. 14) BLENDED DELIVERY - the course is formally 'modalita mista' with up to 60% online; prospective students should not assume a fully in-person or a fully online programme, and exams are in person in Naples in all cases. 15) The programme website is not fully consistent about which selection waves and which schedule table govern; when in doubt, contact infotranspeng@unina.it or the programme director gnbifulc@unina.it.
