- Kabul Tipi
Restricted access (numerus clausus, fixed number of places) combined with a compulsory entry test. There is no open access, no interview, no portfolio and no motivation letter. Selection is purely test-based: applicants must pass through one of three accepted admission tests (unibz admission exam OR TOLC-I OR CENT-S), and are then ranked by normalised test score against the available places. Language requirements act as a hard pre-filter: applicants who cannot document the required levels are excluded from the procedure before ranking.
- Resmî Eğitim Dili
Trilingual. The official teaching languages of the programme are German, Italian and English, and courses are taught in all three. unibz does not publish a fixed percentage weighting per language for this programme, and the language of individual courses can change from year to year, so the exact split between EN/IT/DE is not officially quantified. What is officially fixed instead is the position-based language rule: a candidate must hold B2 in whichever of the three is their strongest language and B1 in a second one, and must reach B1 in the third language to be allowed to sit curricular exams held in that language. The study plan additionally contains a 3 CP 'Specialized language (Italian, German or English)' course.

Kabul koşulları
- Akademik geçmiş
A secondary school leaving certificate from the Italian system, or an equivalent qualification obtained abroad. A foreign school leaving certificate is considered equivalent only if obtained after 12 years of education, and the applicant must have attended at least the final two years within that foreign school system (the PDF gives the Irish Leaving Certificate as an example: attending one year and obtaining the certificate is not sufficient). The Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research imposes additional specific requirements on holders of certain certificates, explicitly naming American high school diplomas and British and Greek certificates; such candidates are directed to apply@unibz.it (Advisory Service). No subject-specific prerequisites, no minimum grade average and no ECTS/SSD credit requirements apply (those are master-level concepts). Under national rules a student may be simultaneously enroled in a maximum of 2 study programmes, provided the two do not belong to the same degree class (e.g. not L-18 plus L-18) and differ in at least 2/3 of their course content. Language requirements must be met in addition to the academic qualification.
- Dil yeterliliği
The official teaching languages are German, Italian and English, and language proficiency is a hard admission filter - the PDF is explicit that failing it means 'you will be excluded from the admission procedure'. Requirements are defined by POSITION (first/second/third strongest language), not by which specific language it is. To gain admission: B2 in the first language and B1 in the second; no level is required in the third, though a B1 there is the minimum for sitting curricular exams held in that language. Preference is given to candidates with B2 in their second language. To graduate: C1 in the first language, B2 in the second and B2 in the third. CEFR levels apply throughout. The first language is defined as the one in which the candidate has the highest proficiency (B2 or C1); the third is the weakest, possibly absolute beginner. Certification is mandatory for the first and second language and recommended (from B1 up) for the third. Certificates from an Italian public institution require a self-declaration; those from a foreign public institution require an uploaded scan of the original. Candidates who cannot certify their third language and are admitted must take a placement test and are assigned a learning path; absolute beginners are advised to attend the three-week intensive course in September, because A1 beginner courses are offered ONLY in that pre-semester session and no longer during the academic year. Language Centre courses are free of charge, run as extensive courses (4 h/week) during semesters and intensive courses (8 h/week) between semesters, and target B1 by end of year 1 and B2 by end of year 2. Important caveat for the Additional Application Session: the Language Centre offers no language exams for that session, so applicants must arrive with an external certificate (unibz recommends LanguageCert, TOEFL or IELTS for speed) and cannot attend the September intensive courses.

Hazırlanacak belgeler
Valid ID card or passport, front and back - an invalid, incomplete or unreadable document causes exclusion from the admission procedure
Completed online application form submitted through the Application Portal (https://aws.unibz.it/exup) by the deadline; once sent it cannot be modified, and forms filled in but not correctly sent are disregarded
Language certificates or self-declarations proving the required levels, uploaded under 'upload language certificates' (mandatory for 1st and 2nd language, recommended from B1 for the 3rd); alternatively registration for unibz Language Centre exams under 'enrol for language exams'
Diploma of the qualification, if gained abroad - uploaded at application, or at enrolment if not yet in possession
For applicants claiming parity of treatment: a copy of the valid Italian permit to stay (or a renewal request if expired) - omitting this reclassifies the applicant as non-EU living abroad
At enrolment with a foreign secondary school qualification: the secondary school diploma, plus an official Italian translation (not required for diplomas issued in German or English), plus the applicable recognition statements (see credential_recognition)

For non-EU citizens living abroad: mandatory pre-enrolment on the Universitaly portal after paying the first instalment, and later the residence permit handed in at the Student Office

- Data year: all figures are the 2026/27 cycle. The primary source PDF carries 'Latest update: 29.07.2026' and states 'Subject to change'. Verified 29 Ağustos 2026.
- Timing caveat: at the verification date the Early Bird and Late sessions were already closed with signed ranking lists published, and only the Additional Application Session (EU citizens only, closing 4 Eylül 2026) remained open. Any Turkish or other non-EU applicant living abroad has already missed the 2026/27 cycle entirely and must target 2027/28.
- Apparent conflict resolved: the brochure headline '28 EU + 2 Non-EU' initially looks inconsistent with the PDF's '20 / 8 / 2', but 28 is simply the EU total (20 Early Bird + 8 Late). Both the admission PDF and the live programme page were checked against the raw HTML to confirm 20 / 8 / 2.
- Teaching-language weighting: unibz publishes no percentage split of EN/IT/DE teaching for this programme, and course languages can vary by year and by lecturer, so 'trilingual' cannot be quantified from official sources.
- No numeric admission cut-off exists in the public record: the signed ranking lists publish Applicant IDs only, never scores, so competitiveness can only be inferred from admitted-versus-waitlisted counts (Early Bird 20 admitted + 3 waitlisted; Late 13 admitted + no waitlist).
- No minimum qualifying score is published for this programme. Scoring at or below 30% does not exclude a candidate; it triggers OFA. The inference that no exclusion threshold exists rests on the silence of both the admission PDF and the ranking decrees.
- Additional Application Session place count is not published as a number - the Faculty opens it only where places remain, so the size of the remaining pool is unknown.
- Shared faculty documents: the linked Mock Admission Test and Topics Guidelines PDFs are headed 'Bachelor in Industrial and Mechanical Engineering'. The mock test explicitly also names 'Bachelor in Electronic and Information Engineering' in its trilingual header, so it is genuinely shared; the Topics PDF names only Industrial and Mechanical Engineering in its heading despite being linked from this programme's page, so its syllabus is taken as applicable but the heading is a documentation inconsistency on unibz's side.
- TOLC-I and CENT-S structural details (question counts, durations, section names, CENT-S being CISIA's English-language scientific test) come from CISIA and CISIA-derived third-party sources, not from unibz.it, which specifies only which sections it counts and links to the CISIA calendars. These fall outside the outline's unibz.it-only source restriction and are flagged inline.
- Provincial study-grant amounts (EUR 1,680-6,960) are set annually by the Autonomous Province of Bozen-Bolzano; the figure is the one currently published by unibz but may be revised for 2026/27.
- The 20 hours/week student work limit noted in the field brief is Italian national immigration law and was not restated on any unibz page consulted for this programme.
- No official English-language Faculty of Engineering admission regulation URL could be located; the ranking decrees cite a 'Regolamento di ammissione' art. 14 without linking it.
- Accessibility judgement: 'effectively-closed' for English-only candidates is a derived assessment, not an official unibz label. It follows from the binding B2+B1 two-language rule plus the observed 2026/27 outcome in which every non-EU applicant was excluded on language grounds.
- Call for applications link note: unibz does not publish a separate per-programme call/bando for bachelor admission. The functional equivalents are the admission-information PDF (the operative rules) and the digitally signed ranking-list decrees, which cite the university's Regolamento di ammissione (art. 14 on the formation of ranking lists) and are signed by the Admission Committee: Prof. Marco Frego (President), Prof. Giovanni Modanese and Dr. Manuela Ciocca. The Additional Application Session call is published at https://www.unibz.it/en/applicants/additional-application-session/ . [uncertain] - no standalone English-language admission regulation URL for the Faculty of Engineering could be located on unibz.it; the only admission regulation PDF found was an outdated 2018 Faculty of Education document, which is not applicable here.
- Tuition and fees link note: Total EUR 1,200 per academic year, paid in two instalments of EUR 600. The 1st instalment (EUR 600) includes the EUR 16 revenue stamp and is the payment that secures an admitted place by the session deadline. The 2nd instalment (EUR 600) must be paid by March of the following year; late payment incurs a fine, and unpaid fees block exam-taking and any transfer to another university or programme. No refund is due on dropping out, interrupting studies or being excluded - the only refund cases are failing the secondary school final exam or, for non-EU applicants abroad, failing to obtain enrolment documents from the Italian authorities. Full exemption is granted to students with a disability recognised under article 3, paragraph 1 of Law No 104/1992 or a disability of 66% or more (certificate to be handed in at the start of the academic year), and to foreign students holding an Italian government scholarship. Students receiving a scholarship from the Autonomous Province of Bozen-Bolzano are entitled to a refund of tuition fees.
