THREE-PHASE GEOGRAPHY ACROSS TWO UNIVERSITIES AND TWO REGIONS — this is the defining feature of the programme and the single biggest logistical planning item. PHASE 1 — FIRST YEAR (semesters 1 and 2), BOLOGNA. unibo's 2026/27 course structure diagram states verbatim: 'all the courses of the First year will be offered exclusively at the University of Bologna (Agriculture Campus - Viale Fanin, 50 BOLOGNA - Italy)'. This is unibo's agriculture campus, home of DISTAL, in the south-east of Bologna city (Emilia-Romagna). PHASE 2 — SECOND YEAR, FIRST PERIOD = the programme's THIRD SEMESTER, BOLZANO. unibo states verbatim: 'the third semester will be offered exclusively at the Free University of Bolzano (Faculty of Science and Technology - Piazza Universita, 1 BOLZANO - Italy)'. Note the address given is unibz's main city-centre campus at Universitatsplatz 1 / piazza Universita 1, 39100 Bozen-Bolzano. unibo's diagram still names unibz's 'Faculty of Science and Technology'; unibz has since reorganised and now lists this programme under the Faculty of Agricultural, Environmental and Food Sciences, so the faculty label in the unibo text is stale even though the address is right. Some agricultural teaching and labs in Bolzano also take place at the NOI Techpark / Laimburg research-centre facilities, but the unibo diagram names only piazza Universita 1. PHASE 3 — SECOND YEAR, SECOND PERIOD = the FOURTH SEMESTER, FLEXIBLE. unibo states verbatim: 'Please note that the 2nd period there are not courses, students could choose to carry out their internship and the thesis research at both institutions or abroad.' So the final semester (internship + master thesis) can be spent in Bologna, in Bolzano, in industry, or abroad. ADDED MOBILITY: 'Students enrolled will have the opportunity to spend up to two semesters (2nd, 3rd or 4th) in one of the European partner universities as exchange students Erasmus+ (with financial assistance) and be entitled to earn a Double Degree in some cases.' Named Erasmus+ partners: Szent Istvan University of Budapest (Hungary), Technical University of Munich (Germany), BOKU Wien / University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences Vienna (Austria), Humboldt University of Berlin (Germany). PRACTICAL NOTE: Bologna and Bolzano are roughly 250 km apart (about 2.5-3 hours by direct Trenitalia regional/Frecciarossa services). Students therefore need TWO separate housing arrangements — the Emilia-Romagna student-welfare body ER.GO covers Bologna accommodation, while Bolzano housing is a separate South Tyrolean market and is notoriously tight and expensive. Budget and residence-permit address changes must be planned for the move.

Kabul Tipi

OPEN ACCESS (accesso libero) WITH A COMPULSORY SUITABILITY CHECK — and the application is made to the UNIVERSITY OF BOLOGNA, NOT to unibz. THE MOST IMPORTANT SINGLE FACT: unibz's own page and brochure state verbatim 'You must apply to the University of Bologna.' unibz publishes NO admission information for this programme — its /assets/CoursesPDF/master-in-horticultural-science_admission-information_en_GB.pdf resolves (HTTP 200) but is an EMPTY shell containing only the unibz Advisory Service contact block; there is no unibz application portal entry, no unibz Early Bird / Late Application window, no unibz ranking list, no unibz EUR 50 non-EU application fee and no unibz selection score for this programme. Every unibz admission rule that applies to its other masters is IRRELEVANT here. WHAT UNIBO OPERATES: '(1) Access to the second cycle degree programme in International Horticultural Science - IMaHS is open, i.e., there is no maximum number of enrolments in A.Y. 2026/27. However, it is only possible to enrol in the programme if you meet the requirements set out in this notice and pass the verification of your personal competencies and skills conducted by a special Committee.' SO THERE IS NO RANKING AND NO CAP, BUT THERE IS A PASS/FAIL GATE with four cumulative components: (1) the required first-cycle qualification; (2) specific curricular requirements (degree class or 20 ECTS across four named subject groups); (3) English at CEFR B2; (4) 'adequate personal competencies and skills, verified according to the criteria specified by the programme'. NO TOLC, NO SAT, NO GRE/GMAT REQUIRED FOR ADMISSION (GRE is required only for the separate International Talents scholarship), NO PORTFOLIO, NO MOTIVATION LETTER, NO WRITTEN ENTRANCE TEST, NO SCORED RUBRIC AND NO CUT-OFF SCORE. The only assessment event is an online oral examination, from which only a narrow group of Italian graduates is exempt. APPLICATION CHANNEL: unibo's Studenti Online portal at https://studenti.unibo.it — 'Click on "Admission application", select "Second Cycle Degree Programme" and select the programme named "INTERNATIONAL HORTICULTURAL SCIENCE - IMAHS"'. Applicants resident abroad without an Italian identity document register via 'Register' then 'International student registration' to obtain a unibo username and password (SPID/CIE are not available to them). RE-APPLICATION IS ALLOWED: 'Those who participate in an intake and are not admitted to the programme may participate in subsequent intakes.'

Resmî Eğitim Dili

FULLY ENGLISH-TAUGHT at both universities — this is NOT one of unibz's trilingual programmes and it is not an Italian-taught unibo programme either. unibo states the programme is 'Delivered entirely in English' and that 'the program is entirely taught and assessed in English'. unibz's page and brochure list the teaching language as English. CONSEQUENCES: (1) the ONLY language required for admission is English at CEFR B2; (2) there is NO German requirement and NO Italian requirement at entry or at graduation; (3) crucially for non-EU applicants, because the programme is taught in English the applicant is EXEMPT from unibo's Italian-language requirement — unibo's rule is that non-EU citizens residing abroad enrolling in Italian-taught programmes must prove Italian at B2 (unibo test min. 48/72, or CELI/CILS/PLIDA/CERTIT B2), and 'This requirement does not apply to students enrolling in English-taught programs'. PRACTICAL CAVEAT (not a curricular requirement): the first year is in Bologna, a monolingual Italian city where daily life, housing contracts, the questura and the AUSL health office all operate in Italian; the third semester is in Bolzano/Bozen, which is officially bilingual Italian/German and where German is the majority local language in the surrounding fruit- and wine-growing valleys. Neither affects the degree, but both affect internships and part-time work.

FOUR INTAKES for A.Y. 2026/27, all closing at 13:00 (1 PM) Italian time on the closing day. Dates normalised to ISO; unibo writes DD/MM/YYYY. Intakes 3 and 4 are marked 'EU citizen applicants only'. INTAKE 1 — opens 2 Şubat 2026, closes 28 Şubat 2026 at 13:00; results published from 30 Mart 2026. Open to ALL applicants including non-EU residing abroad. INTAKE 2 — opens 2 Mart 2026, closes 10 Mayıs 2026 at 13:00; results published from 8 Haziran 2026. Open to ALL applicants including non-EU residing abroad. This is the LAST intake a non-EU citizen residing abroad can use. INTAKE 3 (EU CITIZEN APPLICANTS ONLY) — opens 11 Mayıs 2026, closes 23 Ağustos 2026 at 13:00; results published from 14 Eylül 2026. INTAKE 4 (EU CITIZEN APPLICANTS ONLY) — opens 24 Ağustos 2026, closes 25 Ekim 2026 at 13:00; results published from 9 Kasım 2026. NOTE THE OVERLAP: Intake 1 and Intake 2 run concurrently for most of February (Intake 2 opens 02/03/2026, one day after Intake 1 has already closed on 28/02 — in fact they abut rather than overlap). Intakes 2 and 3 overlap by one day at the changeover. MATRICULATION WINDOW IS IDENTICAL FOR ALL FOUR INTAKES: 'From 03/06/2026 to 19/11/2026 (with late payment fee from October 30, 2026 to November 19, 2026)'. So an Intake 1 candidate admitted on 30/03/2026 still cannot matriculate until 03/06/2026. RE-APPLICATION IS ALLOWED: 'Those who participate in an intake and are not admitted to the programme may participate in subsequent intakes.' A candidate who fails the oral in February can retry in May, August and October (the last two only if an EU citizen). STATUS ON 29 Ağustos 2026: Intakes 1, 2 and 3 are closed. INTAKE 4 IS OPEN NOW and closes 25 Ekim 2026 at 13:00 — but only for EU citizens. The 2027/28 notice and its intake dates are not yet published. On the 2026/27 pattern, expect the notice around December 2026 and a first intake opening in early February 2027.

NON-EU CITIZENS RESIDING ABROAD GET TWO INTAKES, NOT FOUR — and both are in the first half of the year. This is the single most important planning fact for a Turkish, Indian, Pakistani, Iranian or other non-EU applicant living outside Italy. USABLE WINDOWS FOR 2026/27: Intake 1, 2 Şubat 2026 to 28 Şubat 2026 at 13:00 (results from 30 Mart 2026); and Intake 2, 2 Mart 2026 to 10 Mayıs 2026 at 13:00 (results from 8 Haziran 2026). CLOSED TO THEM: Intake 3 (11/05-23/08/2026) and Intake 4 (24/08-25/10/2026) are both headed 'EU citizen applicants only' in the admission notice. WHY THE RESTRICTION EXISTS: it is driven by the visa pipeline, not by academic capacity. A non-EU applicant must, after passing the assessment, pre-enrol on Universitaly, have that pre-enrolment validated by unibo (which requires the first instalment to be paid), then obtain a type-D study visa from the Italian Embassy or Consulate — a chain that cannot realistically complete between late August and the 21/09/2026 start of teaching. THE EXTRA STEP, verbatim from the notice: 'If you are a non-EU citizen and reside abroad, in compliance with the procedures defined by the Italian Ministry of University and Research in the Circular "Procedures for entry, residency and enrolment of international students and the respective recognition of qualifications for higher education courses in Italy" for A.Y. 2026/2027 published on www.universitaly.it/studenti-stranieri, in addition to following the steps required for admission to the degree programme, you will have to: pre-enrol on Universitaly and request an entry visa for study purposes.' PRE-ENROLMENT VALIDATION LOGIC, verbatim: 'If you have passed the assessment and paid the first instalment by the mandatory deadline set by the call, the offices will validate your pre-enrolment. Download the application summary and submit it to the Embassy or Consulate to apply for a visa.' And a specific August warning: 'The University of Bologna's offices could be closed for several days in August, during which pre-enrolments are not validated, so pre-enrolment validation times could be longer in August.' RECOMMENDED TARGET: Intake 1 (February), not Intake 2. Intake 1 results land on 30/03/2026, leaving roughly six months for pre-enrolment, instalment, visa appointment and travel; Intake 2 results land on 08/06/2026, and matriculation only opens 03/06/2026, which compresses the visa window into the summer consular bottleneck. STATUS ON 29 Ağustos 2026: BOTH non-EU windows for 2026/27 are closed. A non-EU applicant abroad must now target 2027/28.

Kabul koşulları

Akademik geçmiş

THREE STACKED REQUIREMENTS: a qualification, curricular credits, and a personal-competencies check. All three are set by the University of Bologna. 1) QUALIFICATION (Section 4.1 of the 2026/27 admission notice), verbatim: 'First cycle academic qualification: three-year university diploma or degree' OR 'Qualification obtained abroad recognised as suitable under Italian law, current international agreements and the rules laid down in the MUR Circular "Procedures for entry, residency and enrolment of international students and the respective recognition of qualifications for higher education courses in Italy" for A.Y. 2026/2027, published on www.universitaly.it/studenti-stranieri. The qualification must give access to a degree programme similar to that for which the candidate applies in Italy in the universities of the country of issuance.' You may apply before graduating. 2) CURRICULAR REQUIREMENTS (Section 4.2), verbatim: 'students must hold a first cycle Degree, or a three-year university Degree, or other qualification obtained abroad, recognised as equivalent. Moreover, students must meet the following curricular requirements: a) holding the first cycle Degree in one of the following fields: Pursuant to Italian Min. Decree 270/04: L-25 Agricultural and forestry science; L-26 Food Science; L-2 Biotechnology; L-32 Environmental Sciences; L-13 Biological Sciences. Pursuant to Italian Min. Decree 509/99: Degree in Agricultural Science. Three-year university Degree: students must hold a first cycle University Degree in Life Sciences (e.g., Horticulture, Agriculture, Biology) obtained upon achievement of at least 180 ECTS. b) holding a first cycle Degree in a field other than the ones listed above and having acquired ECTS in the following subject groups: - AGR/01 - Agricultural economics and rural appraisal: 5 ECTS / CFU; - AGR/03 - Arboriculture and fruitculture: 5 ECTS / CFU; - AGR/11 - General and applied entomology: 5 ECTS / CFU; - AGR/12 - Plant pathology: 5 ECTS / CFU.' (i.e. 20 ECTS total across the four groups.) HOW A FOREIGN DEGREE IS HANDLED, verbatim from the programme's how-to-enrol page: 'The Committee assesses correspondence of the foreign qualification with the Italian qualification. In the absence of such correspondence, the Committee will assess the career in order to verify possession of a number of credits corresponding to the 20 University Educational Credits in the subject group indicated in the call.' So a foreign transcript is first mapped onto L-25/L-26/L-2/L-32/L-13, and only if that mapping fails is the 5+5+5+5 grid applied. SSD CODE NOTE (2024 reform): the admission notice still uses the OLD codes. Under the reformed nomenclature used in unibo's own 2026/27 course structure diagram the equivalents are AGR/01 -> AGRI-01/A (agricultural economics and rural appraisal); AGR/03 -> AGRI-03/A (arboriculture and fruitculture); AGR/11 -> AGRI-05/A (general and applied entomology); AGR/12 -> AGRI-05/B (plant pathology). unibo does not publish this old-to-new mapping alongside the admission notice; the mapping above is inferred from the SSDs attached to the corresponding taught courses in the 2026/27 diagram. HARD CONSEQUENCE: 'If you do not meet all the curricular requirements indicated, you will not be able to register for the programme.' There is no OFA, no credit debt and no conditional make-up route — gaps must be closed BEFORE applying, typically by taking Italian 'corsi singoli' (single supplementary courses) or equivalent courses elsewhere. 3) ADEQUATE PERSONAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS (Sections 4.4 and 6.2), verbatim: 'Personal competences and skills are met if the student graduated in classes L-25 or L-26 (Ministerial Decree 270/04) or L-20 (Ministerial Decree 509/99) with a grade equal to or higher than 100/110, or foreign equivalent. Otherwise, to prove the adequacy of your personal competencies and skills, you will have to take an oral examination which will be held online.' NOTE THERE IS NO GENERAL MINIMUM GPA — unlike unibz's own masters (which set floors such as 22/30), unibo sets no minimum average here; the 100/110 figure is only the threshold that EXEMPTS an Italian L-25/L-26/L-20 graduate from the oral exam. 4) GRADUATING APPLICANTS: 'You can apply even if you have not yet obtained your first cycle degree... In case of admission and subsequent enrolment, the degree must in any case be obtained by 31/12/2026; otherwise, any registration will be cancelled.' PRACTICAL READING FOR A TURKISH APPLICANT: a Turkish 4-year Ziraat Muhendisligi (Bahce Bitkileri, Bitki Koruma, Tarim Ekonomisi, Tarimsal Biyoteknoloji, Toprak Bilimi), Bahce Bitkileri, Bitki Koruma or Tarimsal Biyoteknoloji lisans normally maps cleanly onto L-25 and satisfies route (a) plus the 5+5+5+5 grid. Biyoloji, Moleküler Biyoloji ve Genetik and Cevre Muhendisligi degrees map onto L-13/L-32/L-2 and are formally admissible, but candidates from those programmes should still expect the oral exam because they will almost certainly lack arboriculture and applied entomology coursework. Gida Muhendisligi maps to L-26. Note also that a Turkish 4-year degree is longer than the Italian 3-year first cycle, which is not a problem — the requirement is a MINIMUM of 180 ECTS.

Dil yeterliliği
  • ONE REQUIREMENT ONLY: ENGLISH AT CEFR B2. Verbatim: 'English language skills are required to at least CEFR level B2.' There is NO Italian requirement, NO German requirement, NO third language, NO entry level in any second language and NO exit/graduation language requirement. This is the simplest language profile of any programme in the unibz orbit. THREE WAYS TO SATISFY IT, verbatim from the programme page: 'The assessment of the B2 level knowledge and skills of English language is fulfilled if the candidate: - is a citizen of a country whose official language is English
  • - holds an official certification attesting English language knowledge at least at level B2
  • - has passed an English language exam of B2 level in the previous Degree Programme at the University of Bologna or at another University Language Centre part of the AICLU (Italian Association of University Language Centres).' The admission notice adds a fourth wording: 'being a native speaker'. TIMING: 'The English language requirement is fulfilled during the application phase' — the proof must be uploaded with the application, inside the intake window. There is no later window and no unibo English test to sit as a fallback for this programme. IMPORTANT ASYMMETRY WITH UNIBZ PRACTICE: unibz would normally recognise an English-medium bachelor as proof of English (and even count it as C1). unibo's IMaHS list does NOT include 'degree taught in English' as an accepted route — the three accepted routes are citizenship of an English-speaking country, an official certificate, or a B2 exam passed at unibo/an AICLU centre. Whether the Committee would in practice accept a medium-of-instruction letter from a fully English-taught foreign bachelor is not stated; the safe course for a Turkish applicant from an English-medium programme (METU, Bogazici, ITU English track, Bilkent, Koc, Sabanci) is to obtain an IELTS/TOEFL certificate rather than rely on the medium of instruction. ITALIAN LANGUAGE — EXPLICITLY NOT REQUIRED. unibo requires non-EU citizens residing abroad to prove Italian at B2 (unibo test min. 48/72, or CELI/CILS/PLIDA/CERTIT) only for programmes taught in Italian; 'This requirement does not apply to students enrolling in English-taught programs'. IMaHS is English-taught, so the Italian requirement and its 19/11/2026 deadline do not bite. GERMAN — NOT REQUIRED even for the Bolzano semester. unibz's trilingual C1/C1/B1 graduation model does not apply, because the student remains a University of Bologna student and the degree's language regime is unibo's.
Sınav / değerlendirme

ONE ASSESSMENT EVENT ONLY: AN ONLINE ORAL EXAMINATION. There is no written test of any kind. NOT REQUIRED: no TOLC (any variant), no CENT-S, no unibz admission test (unibz runs none for this programme), no SAT, no GMAT, no IELTS/TOEFL-as-a-test (a certificate is accepted, not a sitting), no portfolio, no video presentation, no motivation letter, no written entrance exam. GRE is NOT required for admission — it is required only if the applicant separately competes for the International Talents @Unibo scholarship. THE ORAL EXAMINATION, verbatim: 'the adequacy of personal competencies and skills will be assessed through an oral interview aimed at ascertaining academic knowledge of: economics and rural appraisal; arboriculture and fruitculture; general and applied entomology; plant pathology.' It is 'held online'. WHO SITS IT: everybody EXCEPT a candidate who 'graduated in classes L-25 or L-26 (Ministerial Decree 270/04) or L-20 (Ministerial Decree 509/99) with a grade equal to or higher than 100/110, or foreign equivalent'. Because those are Italian degree classes, a foreign-qualified applicant will in practice be called unless the Committee accepts a foreign equivalent of that 100/110 mark. The notice reinforces this: 'The requirements and documentation submitted during the application phase will be assessed by the Committee, which will determine whether further verification of your personal competencies and skills is necessary, if you hold a foreign qualification. If so, you will be called for an interview, which will take place in online mode on the date and according to the procedures indicated in the call itself.' OUTCOME LABELS PUBLISHED ON STUDENTI ONLINE: 'Admitted' (may register), 'Application submitted' (must take the test), 'Not admitted'. FAILURE CONSEQUENCE, verbatim: 'If you do not pass the oral interview, your personal competencies and skill will be deemed unsuitable and you will not be able to register for the programme. Those who participate in an intake and are not admitted to the programme may participate in subsequent intakes.' — so a failed oral in Intake 1 can be re-attempted in Intake 2 (and, for EU citizens, Intakes 3 and 4). DISABILITY/SLD ADAPTATIONS ARE AVAILABLE FOR THIS ORAL: extra time of 30% (SLD, other developmental disorders, specific medical conditions) or 50% (certified disability under Law 104/92), plus assistive tools; the request form and medical documentation must be uploaded on Studenti Online 'by the intake registration deadline'. Candidates residing abroad 'must submit legalized certifications (or with an Apostille where applicable) issued in their country of residence... accompanied by an official translation into Italian or English'. Contact: ases.adattamentiammissione@unibo.it. SEPARATELY, THE ENGLISH B2 REQUIREMENT is satisfied by certificate, native-speaker status or a prior B2 exam at unibo/an AICLU language centre — there is no unibo English entrance test to sit for this programme.

    • TWO DISTINCT DOCUMENT SETS: one for the ADMISSION APPLICATION, a second and heavier one for MATRICULATION with a foreign qualification. SET A — ADMISSION APPLICATION (uploaded as PDF on Studenti Online within the intake window). Compulsory: (1) 'front and back copy of a valid identity document' — plus, for foreign citizens whose ID has no English translation, 'copy of your passport'
    • (2) the qualification required for admission — for a foreign qualification: 'a copy of the qualification obtained abroad, translated into Italian or English, allowing access to second cycle degree programmes the country where it was obtained (or in the country of reference for the system), accompanied by a transcript of records and Diploma Supplement where available'; if not yet graduated, 'the list of exams taken (Transcript of Records)'
    • (3) 'Proof of B2 level of knowledge of the English language'

  • WHAT IS FIRMLY ESTABLISHED (from the signed 2026/27 unibo admission notice and unibo's live 2026/27 pages): the external application routing to unibo; open access with no cap; the four intake windows and the EU-only restriction on Intakes 3 and 4; LM-69 (LM-69 R) and codes 6784/8883; the curricular requirements and the four AGR subject groups; English B2 and the exact certificate table; the online oral examination and its 100/110 exemption; the 31/12/2026 graduation deadline and the 26/02/2027 career-activation deadline; the fee architecture (EUR 157.04 fixed + ISEE-scaled variable); the joint-degree status; the full 2026/27 curriculum with per-course ECTS and campus split. PRINCIPAL UNCERTAINTIES AND CONFLICTS: (1) JOINT vs DOUBLE DEGREE. unibo says both things in different places: the admission notice and the programme overview say 'joint degree' / 'joint Degree recognized by both institutions', while the unibo central catalogue page adds that 'Graduates earn a double degree from both institutions', and the unibz brochure separately describes a DIFFERENT double degree earned through Erasmus+ partner universities. What the physical parchment(s) look like is not documented. (2) 31 DECEMBER 2026 vs 2027. One fragment of unibo's how-to-enrol page says the qualification must be obtained by 31 December 2027; the admission notice and every other occurrence say 31 December 2026. Treat 31/12/2026 as binding. (3) THE UNIBZ-SIDE MATERIAL IS STALE. The unibz brochure is headed '2017/18', the unibz page links a 2017 study plan and a 2017 timetable, unibz's admission-information PDF is an empty shell, and unibo's course diagram still calls the Bolzano host 'Faculty of Science and Technology' although unibz now files the programme under the Faculty of Agricultural, Environmental and Food Sciences. None of this affects the programme's active status, but it means unibz-side content must not be used for operational facts. (4) NO COMPETITIVENESS DATA AT ALL. No ranking lists, no applicant counts, no enrolment figures, no oral-exam pass rates, no cohort size. Open access means none of this is published. (5) SSD OLD-TO-NEW MAPPING (AGR/01->AGRI-01/A, AGR/03->AGRI-03/A, AGR/11->AGRI-05/A, AGR/12->AGRI-05/B) is INFERRED from the SSDs on the corresponding 2026/27 courses; unibo does not publish the mapping next to the admission notice. (6) 2026/27 MAXIMUM TUITION not yet published; the EUR 2,550.00 second-cycle ceiling quoted is the 2025/26 figure. (7) INTERNATIONAL TALENTS @UNIBO 2026/27 details (deadline, count, amount) are extrapolated from the 2025/26 call; the unibo landing page returned HTTP 404 when checked. (8) NO INTERVIEW DATES, no oral-exam duration, pass mark, format detail or reading list is published. (9) VISA FINANCIAL MEANS for 2026 was still 'being defined' (2025 figure: EUR 7,000.97). (10) NON-EU VISA 'CONTINGENTE': no reserved-places figure was found for this programme, and the notice's 'no maximum number of enrolments' implies none, but this could not be positively confirmed. (11) MEDIUM-OF-INSTRUCTION AS ENGLISH PROOF is not on unibo's accepted list for this programme; whether the Committee accepts it in practice is unknown. Get a certificate. (12) ER.GO TREATMENT OF THE MANDATORY BOLZANO SEMESTER (residence status, 'fuori sede' classification, benefit continuity) is not addressed in any source found. (13) DOUBLE-DEGREE MECHANICS with Budapest/Munich/BOKU Wien/Humboldt (selection, quotas, deadlines, language requirements) are not published. (14) RESIDENCE-PERMIT AND ADDRESS MECHANICS of the Bologna-to-Bolzano move for non-EU students are not documented by either university. (15) FIRST YEAR OF ACTIVATION unknown; course-structure archives reach back to 2010/2011. (16) 2027/28 CYCLE entirely unpublished — all dates in this record are 2026/27 and will change. DATA-SET WARNING: this programme must be flagged separately in any unibz data set. Applying unibz's standard fields to it produces systematically wrong answers — there is no unibz Early Bird/Late window, no unibz EUR 50 application fee, no unibz ranking list, no unibz selection score, no unibz language-certificate rulebook, no unibz EUR 1,200/year fee and no unibz South Tyrol provincial scholarship. Every operational fact comes from the University of Bologna.

MUR circular governing non-EU entry, residency and enrolment for A.Y. 2026/2027: published at https://www.universitaly.it/studenti-stranieri . THERE IS NO UNIBZ CALL. unibz publishes no admission call, no manifesto and no ranking list for this programme.
  • Tuition and fees link note: FEES ARE PAID TO THE UNIVERSITY OF BOLOGNA ONLY — there is no separate unibz tuition for the Bolzano semester. The DISTAL scholarship call states that to take part, students must 'comply with payment of the tuition fees at UNIBO', confirming a single fee stream for the whole joint degree. unibz's own fee model (about EUR 1,200/year in two instalments of EUR 600) is IRRELEVANT here. STRUCTURE, verbatim: 'The fee to be paid to enrol for a degree programme consists of a fixed element of EUR 157.04 and a variable element calculated according to the student's family's financial situation (ISEE) up to a maximum that varies according to the programme.' The EUR 157.04 fixed element comprises the Emilia-Romagna regional right-to-study tax (approximately EUR 140) plus EUR 16 stamp duty plus an insurance premium, and is due from everyone. MAXIMUM: IMaHS does not appear on unibo's list of second-cycle programmes with an increased maximum, so the STANDARD second-cycle ceiling applies. For A.Y. 2025/26 that ceiling was EUR 2,550.00 'al netto della Tassa regionale per il diritto allo studio, dell'imposta di bollo e del premio assicurativo' (i.e. on top of the EUR 157.04). Total worst case for 2025/26 was therefore roughly EUR 2,707 per year. [uncertain] The 2026/27 maximum-amounts table was not published at the time of checking (29 Ağustos 2026); expect a small inflation-linked increase. FULL EXEMPTION: students with an ISEE at or below EUR 27,000 pay only the EUR 157.04 fixed element. Between EUR 27,000 and the top band the variable element scales progressively. IF YOU DO NOT FILE AN ISEE YOU PAY THE MAXIMUM: 'If you do not submit an ISEE certificate, you will have to pay the full tuition fees relevant to your degree programme.' ISEE deadline for 2026/27: 30 October 2026 at 18:00, or 16 November 2026 at 18:00 with a EUR 100 late fee. 'The deadline is peremptory and no exceptions are ever allowed.' INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS WITH INCOME ONLY ABROAD cannot obtain an ordinary ISEE and must instead file foreign income and asset documentation through ER.GO's online 'User dossier' by 20 November 2026: family composition, employment, gross 2025 income, real estate in square metres, outstanding mortgages, movable assets and disability status, translated into Italian, with diplomatic authentication or apostille where signed by public officials, and converted to euros at the Bank of Italy's 2025 exchange rates. This is a substantial paperwork exercise but it is what unlocks the difference between roughly EUR 157 and roughly EUR 2,707 per year. REDUCED FLAT FEE FOR SOME NATIONALITIES (2026/27): citizens of 'particularly poor and developing countries' pay a flat EUR 600 + EUR 157.04 for a second-cycle first year; citizens of non-EU, non-OECD countries pay a flat EUR 1,200 + EUR 157.04. NEITHER APPLIES TO TURKEY, because Turkey is an OECD member and is not on the developing-countries list. A Turkish student must therefore go the ISEE / foreign-income-documentation route to reduce fees. INSTALMENTS when an ISEE is filed: first instalment EUR 157.04 by 24 September 2026; second instalment by 18 December 2026; third instalment by 15 March 2027. For open-access second-cycle programmes without an ISEE the master's payment date is 29 October 2026, with late payment allowed to 19 November 2026 with a surcharge.
