Croce 7, 39042 Brixen-Bressanone, tel. +39 0472 014000, faculty.education@unibz.it (the Faculty's other listed address is Regensburger Allee 16 / viale Ratisbona 16, same town). Critically, the ADMISSION INTERVIEW also takes place in Brixen-Bressanone in person — 'The interview will take place in Brixen-Bressanone' — with video conference possible only on written, motivated request submitted to the Faculty Secretariat at least 7 days before the interview date. Not Bozen-Bolzano, not NOI Techpark, not Bruneck-Brunico, not Trento, not Innsbruck.

Kabul Tipi

Restricted access (numero programmato / limited places) with a merit-based ranking list built on an ADMISSION INTERVIEW plus a documentary assessment of prior work experience, preceded by an eliminatory language-eligibility gate (B2 in the 1st AND 2nd language). There is NO entrance exam, no TOLC, no CENT-S, no SAT, no portfolio and no school-grade scoring. A motivation cover letter (max 6,000 characters) is a compulsory upload. Separate ranking lists are drawn up for (a) EU citizens and citizens given parity of treatment and (b) non-EU citizens living abroad. The Admission Committee is chaired by the Degree Course Director; for the 2026/27 Early Bird session it was Prof. Livia Taverna (chair) with Prof. Ulrike Loch and Prof. Doris Kofler, and Dr Elisabeth Berger as advisory member; for the Late session Prof. Livia Taverna (chair) with Prof. Doris Kofler and Prof. Urban Nothdurfter, and Dr Elisabeth Berger as advisory member.

Resmî Eğitim Dili

Trilingual (Italian / German / English). The 'At a glance' box states: 'Courses will be taught in: Italian, German and English (trilingual)' — note the order, which reflects the actual weighting: Italian and German dominate and ENGLISH IS THE SMALLEST of the three languages. Per-course language tags in the official 2026/27 course-offering listing ('Enrolled from 2025' study plan) give: YEAR 1 (60 CP) — Italian 24 CP (Principles of Sociology 6; Statistical and Demographic Analysis of Social Phenomena 6; Fundamentals of the Legal System and Fundamental Rights 6; General Psychology for Social Work 6), German 12 CP (Qualitative Methods and Methodologies in Social Research 6; Fundamentals in Social Work 6), English only 10 CP (Social Policy 5; Social Psychology 5), mixed IT/DE 6 CP (Social Pedagogy Throughout the Life Cycle), language-neutral 8 CP (Free Choice 4 + Orientation placement/internship 4). YEAR 2 (60 CP) — German 20 CP (Social Work Methodology and Organisation 10, all three sub-modules DE; History of Social Work 3; Sociology of the Family 5; LAB Observation of Parental Skills 2), English 14 CP (Inter- and Transnational Social Work 3; Family, Gender and Power 6; Psychology of Aging 5), Italian 12 CP (Developmental Psychology in Childhood and Adolescence 5; Family and Minors Law 5; LAB Digitalization and AI in Social Work 2), language-neutral 14 CP (Free Choice 4 + Professional internship 10). YEARS 1+2 COMBINED (120 CP): Italian 36 CP, German 32 CP, English 24 CP (20% of credits), mixed IT/DE 6 CP, language-neutral 22 CP. Year 3 (60 CP) teaching languages are NOT yet published, because the first cohort under this study plan (enrolled 2025) only reaches year 3 in 2027/28; year 3 does contain a 2 CP course 'Language Skills for Professional Communication'. There is NO English-only pathway and English is a minority language throughout: German is compulsory from semester 1 of year 1 and Italian carries the largest share of year 1. — the credit split is reconstructed from the per-module language tags on the unibz course-offering page for 2026/27; year 3 is unverified.

Three sessions for EU citizens and citizens given parity of treatment (unibz publishes DD/MM/YYYY; ISO normalised below). EARLY BIRD APPLICATION: 02/03/2026 - 28/04/2026 by noon local time = 2 Mart 2026 to 28 Nisan 2026. LATE APPLICATION (EU only): 28/05/2026 - 08/07/2026 by noon local time = 28 Mayıs 2026 to 8 Temmuz 2026. ADDITIONAL APPLICATION SESSION (EU only, opened by the Faculty in August/September if places remain — and it WAS opened for this programme in 2026/27): 18/08/2026 - 04/09/2026 by noon local time = 18 Ağustos 2026 to 4 Eylül 2026. Each session has its own admission interview date (19/05/2026, 21/07/2026, 11/09/2026 respectively), so the deadline is effectively a two-stage commitment: submit by the application deadline, then be available for the interview in Brixen-Bressanone about three weeks later. EU applicants may apply for more than one study programme, and an applicant excluded in one session may apply again in the next — Applicant ID 151665 appears in BOTH the Early Bird list (rank 9) and the Late list (rank 8) for 2026/27, evidence that re-application across sessions happens in practice. At the verification date of 29 Ağustos 2026 the Additional Application Session is OPEN and closes at noon on 4 Eylül 2026.

AB / AEA dışı adaylar

ONE window only for non-EU citizens living outside Italy: the EARLY BIRD APPLICATION, 02/03/2026 - 28/04/2026 by noon local time = 2 Mart 2026 to 28 Nisan 2026. 'Only one application period is offered. After the deadline it is not possible to apply anymore.' Non-EU applicants living abroad are NOT eligible for the Late Application or the Additional Application Session, pay a non-refundable €50 application fee, are ranked on a separate list against a separate 4-place quota, and must additionally pre-enrol on the Universitaly portal (one programme only) for the study visa. For academic year 2026/27 this window is closed; the next opportunity for a non-EU applicant living abroad is the 2027/28 Early Bird session (expected around March-April 2027). Practical note for Turkish applicants: the non-EU route also collides with the interview logistics, since the Early Bird interview date (19/05/2026) falls three weeks after the application deadline and requires either travel to Brixen-Bressanone or an approved video-conference request filed at least 7 days in advance.

Kabul koşulları

Akademik geçmiş

Required qualification (one of): (a) a secondary school leaving certificate of the Italian system; or (b) an equivalent qualification obtained abroad. A foreign school-leaving certificate counts as equivalent only if obtained after 12 years of education AND the applicant attended at least the last two years in that foreign school system (stated example: an Irish Leaving Certificate obtained after only one year is not sufficient). The Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research sets additional specific requirements for holders of certain certificates — American high school diplomas, British and Greek certificates are named explicitly; those applicants should contact apply@unibz.it (Advisory Service). NO subject-specific prerequisites, NO minimum grade average and NO required school subjects are imposed — unlike Food and Enogastronomy Sciences (mathematics/science grades) or the economics bachelors (mathematics test). Language requirements (1st language B2, 2nd language B2) are a separate, eliminatory condition. No ECTS/SSD credit requirements apply (bachelor level). National rule: simultaneous enrolment in a maximum of 2 study programmes is allowed provided they do not belong to the same class and differ in at least 2/3 of course contents. Note for the professional pathway: the SSD codes now used in the curriculum are the post-2024-reform ones — GSPS-05/A and GSPS-06/A (sociology/social work, formerly SPS/07-SPS/08 area), PSIC-01/A, PSIC-02/A, PSIC-03/A (psychology, formerly M-PSI/01, M-PSI/04, M-PSI/05), PAED-01/A (pedagogy, formerly M-PED/01), GIUR-01/A and GIUR-05/A (law), STAT-03/B (demography/social statistics), INFO-01/A (computer science), SDEA-01/A (anthropology).

Dil yeterliliği

The official teaching languages are German, Italian and English, and the language rule is ELIMINATORY: 'The official teaching languages are German, Italian and English. Therefore, the following language requirements apply, otherwise you will be excluded from the admission procedure.' ENTRY: 1st language B2, 2nd language B2, 3rd language no level required. FROM THE 2ND SEMESTER OF YEAR 1: B1 in the third language is the minimum requirement for taking curricular examinations in that language. EXIT (to graduate): 1st language C1, 2nd language C1, 3rd language B2 — the standard, stricter unibz trilingual exit profile, one step harder in the second language than Food and Enogastronomy Sciences (C1/B2/B2). Language positions are defined by the applicant's own proficiency, not by which language it is: the 1st language is the one in which the applicant is strongest (B2 or C1), the 3rd the weakest, possibly absolute beginner. Certification is MANDATORY for the 1st and 2nd language and recommended (from B1 upwards) for the 3rd. Because both admission levels are B2, applicants may register at the unibz Language Centre for B2 EXAMS ONLY — there is no B1 exam route for this programme. Admitted students who cannot certify the third language take a placement test (details by e-mail) and are assigned a learning path aiming at B2 'as soon as possible'. Language Centre courses are FREE: extensive courses 4 h/week during semesters, intensive courses 8 h/week between semesters, and a three-week pre-semester intensive session 01-18/09/2026 (Mon-Fri, 6 h/day). A1 beginner courses are offered ONLY in that September pre-semester session and no longer during the academic year, so absolute beginners must start there — a trap for anyone admitted through the Additional Application Session, whose ranking list is only published by 18/09/2026, after the intensive courses have finished. Target levels in the third language: B1 by the end of year 1, B2 by the end of year 2. Documentary note: a final certificate awarded by an Italian public institution requires a self-declaration; one awarded by a foreign public institution requires an uploaded scanned copy of the original.

Sınav / değerlendirme

NONE in the sense of a written admission test — no unibz admission exam, no TOLC-I, no CENT-S, no SAT and no subject test. The selective instrument is an ADMISSION INTERVIEW (see 'interview'). The only formal EXAMINATIONS connected with admission are LANGUAGE exams at the unibz Language Centre, and only for applicants who choose that route of proof: Early Bird session — online, 16/03/2026 (registration 02-09/03/2026) and 16-17 and 20-21/04/2026 (registration 24/03-08/04/2026); Late session — online, 22-26/06/2026 (registration 28/05-15/06/2026). No Language Centre exam session is listed for the Additional Application Session, so an applicant in that window must already hold accepted proof. IMPORTANT RESTRICTION: for this programme 'you can only register for B2 level exams' — there is no B1 option, because both the 1st and the 2nd language must be at B2. Only one level per language per session. Separately, AFTER admission there is a non-selective THIRD-LANGUAGE PLACEMENT TEST for admitted students who cannot certify their third language; the date is communicated by e-mail.

Hazırlanacak belgeler

  • At application (online via https://aws.unibz.it/exup/): a valid ID card or passport, front and back — 'if your document is invalid, incomplete or unreadable, you will be excluded from the admission procedure'; the completed online form; THE COVER LETTER (max 6,000 characters) on the motivation for choosing the programme, which is the only item explicitly listed as a portal upload under the admission procedure; language certificates uploaded under 'upload language certificates' (MANDATORY for the 1st and 2nd language, recommended from B1 for the 3rd) and/or registration for Language Centre B2 exams under 'enrol for language exams'; the diploma of the qualification if already obtained abroad (otherwise uploaded at enrolment); for non-EU citizens resident in Italy claiming parity of treatment, a copy of the valid permit to stay (plus renewal request if expired). NOTE: there is NO 'study career' Excel template for this programme — that structured upload is a master-level requirement; and there are no school report cards or grade tables to upload, because school grades are not scored. AT ENROLMENT, holders of a foreign secondary school qualification must additionally upload: the secondary school diploma; an official translation into Italian (not needed for diplomas issued in German or English); and the ARDI and/or CIMEA statements described under credential_recognition. Once submitted the application cannot be modified, and forms filled in but not correctly sent are disregarded. Mendacious declarations are criminally prosecuted and cause automatic exclusion from the ranking list. Students transferring from another Italian university must give the Student Office a copy of the transfer application at the beginning of the academic year; non-EU students must hand in a copy of the residence permit once obtained, in person or by e-mail. — no documentary evidence is specified anywhere for the up-to-20-point prior social-work work experience, even though it is a scored criterion.

  • Data year: all figures are for academic year 2026/27; the admission-information PDF carries 'Latest update: 28.07.2026' and the express caveat 'Subject to change'. Verified 29 Ağustos 2026. TIME-CRITICAL: the Early Bird and Late sessions for 2026/27 are closed and their ranking lists are published, but the ADDITIONAL APPLICATION SESSION (18/08-04/09/2026, EU citizens and citizens given parity of treatment only) is OPEN at the verification date and closes at noon on 04/09/2026 — six days later — with the admission interview on 11/09/2026 in Brixen-Bressanone. (1) TEACHING-LANGUAGE WEIGHTING is reconstructed from the per-course language tags on the unibz course-offering page for 2026/27 ('Enrolled from 2025' plan) cross-referenced with the brochure study plan; it covers YEARS 1 AND 2 ONLY. Year 3 language tags are not published because the first cohort under this plan reaches year 3 in 2027/28, so the whole-degree English share cannot be stated. Free-choice credits (4 CP per year) and internships (24 CP total) carry no fixed language and are excluded from the per-language totals. (2) SCORING GAPS: the cover letter is criterion 1 of the admission procedure but carries no published point value, so it is unclear whether it is scored within the 80-point interview assessment or serves only as a qualitative/eligibility document; no minimum passing score is published; and no documentary standard is given for the up-to-20-point prior work experience. (3) NO SCORES IN THE RANKING LISTS: unusually for unibz, both 2026/27 decrees publish only rank positions and Applicant IDs, with no scores and no list of applicants excluded on language grounds. Consequently no admission cut-off and no measure of how many candidates failed the B2/B2 gate can be derived — the competition inferences here rest on admitted counts versus quotas only. (4) The Early Bird decree contains NO non-EU ranking section at all. This is read here as 'no non-EU applicant was admitted', but it is formally ambiguous: the section may have been omitted because there were no eligible non-EU applicants, or because none passed. (5) The ranking PDFs print 'Bressanone, data della firma' / 'Brixen, Datum der Unterzeichnung' instead of a typed date, so signature dates are unrecoverable. (6) PROGRAMME HISTORY: the 1999 founding year is inferred from press coverage of the 20-year anniversary congress held 21-22 November 2019, not from a unibz statement; the 2025 study-plan reform is inferred from the existence of parallel 'Enrolled from 2025' and 'enrolled before 2025' course-offering pages. (7) SCHOLARSHIPS: the unibz study-grants page names the three provincial grant categories but publishes no amounts or merit thresholds; the commonly cited €1,680-€6,960 range and the 27/30 merit average could NOT be confirmed on any unibz page verified for this programme. There is no programme-specific scholarship. (8) OFFICIAL CALL: the Faculty of Education regulations repository (records-unibz.siavcloud.com) returned HTTP 403, so the L-39 admission/study regulation could not be inspected; no manifesto or Rector's decree was located at a public English URL. (9) REGULATED PROFESSION: unibz's English pages never state that social work is a regulated profession — the only evidence on the site is a graduate testimonial mentioning the state exam and the Albo. The framework details given here (L-39 gives access to Section B of the Albo degli Assistenti Sociali under DPR 328/2001; professional title 'assistente sociale'; two written tests, an oral and a practical case test, pass mark 6/10 on each; 2026 national sessions starting 31/07/2026 and 20/11/2026 with university application deadlines 24/06/2026 and 21/10/2026) come from CNOAS and Italian university sources, NOT from unibz, and the 2027+ session dates are set annually by MUR ordinance. Recognition of a non-EU professional social-work title runs through the Italian Ministry of Justice, a separate procedure from CIMEA/ARDI academic recognition. (10) TURKISH-APPLICANT RELEVANCE: Türkiye's status as a Lisbon Convention signatory (hence case (b) recognition: ARDI + CIMEA verification) is inferred from convention membership, not stated by unibz for this programme. (11) No 'study career' Excel template, no OFA and no bachelor-level ECTS conditional-admission threshold apply here. (12) Freshers Days for this programme are 29-30/09/2026, one day later than the 28-29/09/2026 used in several other unibz faculty records — verified directly in this programme's admission-information PDF. (13) Enrolment figures cited from the MUR/AlmaLaurea transparency page (9 graduates in 2025, 13 in 2024, high student satisfaction on small samples of 5 and 3 respondents) describe the pre-2025 study plan and very small cohorts, so they indicate scale rather than current quality.

Degree Course Director: Prof. Livia Taverna. Student Representative in the Course Council: Victoria Tack.
  • Call for applications link note: No separate call for applications / manifesto degli studi is published in English for this programme. The role of the official call is played by the programme's admission-information document together with the signed bilingual (IT/DE) ranking-list decrees, which restate the confirmation, enrolment and foreign-qualification rules and carry the 60-day appeal notice to the Administrative Court of Bolzano. The Faculty of Education's regulations repository is linked from the programme page as 'Regelungen': https://records-unibz.siavcloud.com/regolamenti_en?area=FACULTY%20OF%20EDUCATION&priority=02&orderasc=sub_area . [uncertain] — the Faculty regulations repository returned HTTP 403 when fetched, so the individual admission/study regulation documents for L-39 could not be inspected or dated; no Rector's decree opening the 2026/27 procedure was located at a public English URL.
  • Tuition and fees link note: Total tuition fees are €1,200 per year in two instalments: 1st instalment €600 (including the €16 revenue stamp / marca da bollo) — this is the payment that secures the place after admission; 2nd instalment €600, due by March of the following year. Delayed payment of the second instalment incurs a fine; unpaid fees block exam-taking and any transfer to another university or study programme. No refund if you drop out, interrupt your studies or are excluded. EXEMPTIONS: students with a disability recognised under article 3 paragraph 1 of Law no. 104/1992 or with a disability of 66% or more (health-authority certificate to be handed in at the start of the academic year), and foreign students holding an Italian government scholarship. Students awarded a scholarship by the Autonomous Province of Bozen-Bolzano are entitled to a refund of the tuition fees.
