Required qualification (one of): (a) a secondary school leaving certificate of the Italian system; or (b) an equivalent qualification obtained abroad. A foreign school-leaving certificate counts as equivalent only if obtained after 12 years of education AND the applicant attended at least the last two years in that foreign school system (unibz's own example: an Irish Leaving Certificate obtained after attending only one year is not enough). The Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research imposes additional specific requirements on holders of certain certificates — American high school diplomas, British and Greek certificates are named explicitly — and such applicants are told to contact apply@unibz.it (Advisory Service). Beyond the title, the applicant must fulfil the language requirements (B2 + B2), which are eliminatory. There is NO minimum school grade, NO subject prerequisite, NO mathematics requirement, no prior art-school requirement and no portfolio-of-prior-study requirement: unlike the engineering and economics bachelors, school marks play no part in the score — the 100 points come entirely from the video, the practical creative work and the interview. No ECTS/SSD credit requirements apply (bachelor level, so the 2024 SSD recoding such as INFO-01/A is irrelevant here). National rule: simultaneous enrolment in a maximum of 2 study programmes is permitted, provided the two do not belong to the same class (explicitly 'e.g., L-4/L-4') and differ in at least 2/3 of course contents — which rules out holding places on both the Art and the Design major of this same L-4 degree.Tümünü okuDaralt

Positions are defined by the candidate's own proficiency, not by the language: 'Your first language is the language in which you have the highest level of proficiency (B2 or C1). Your third language is instead the language in which you are weaker (or in which you are an absolute beginner).' Certification is MANDATORY for the 1st and 2nd language and recommended (from B1 upwards) for the 3rd, submitted in the application portal under 'upload language certificates' and/or 'enrol for language exams' after creating an application in 'create/manage applications'. A certificate awarded by an Italian public institution is submitted as a self-declaration; one awarded by a foreign public institution requires an uploaded scanned copy of the original. Programme-specific softening: 'A B1 level in the third language is the minimum requirement for taking curricular examinations in that specific language. In the first year of study, it is possible to sit exams relating to project-based activities before having achieved a B1 level in the third language' — i.e. the 19-CP studio projects and practical courses (drawing, studio, typography) are exempt from the B1 gate during year 1, while theoretical courses are not; from year 2 onwards B1 in the language of the course is required for all exams. Admitted students who cannot certify the third language sit a placement test (details by e-mail) and are assigned a learning path towards B2. Absolute beginners or anyone below B2 may attend a three-week intensive course in the September pre-semester session; A1 beginner courses are offered EXCLUSIVELY in that September session and no longer during the academic year, so absolute beginners must start there. During semesters there are extensive courses (4 h/week), between semesters intensive courses (6 h/day). The list of instruments actually used is: (1) VIDEO, produced independently at home, uploaded to the application portal by the application deadline — max 2 minutes, max 150 MB, formats .mov/.mp4/.mpg/.avi/.wmv, file name surname_name.format; failure to upload by the deadline causes exclusion from the admission procedure. (2) PRACTICAL CREATIVE WORK, carried out entirely by the candidate at home; the topic and technical indications (size of models, materials, format, etc.) are e-mailed approximately one week before the interview, and the complete documentation must be sent by the modalities communicated with the topic — sending documentation by post is never allowed. (3) ONLINE INTERVIEW, about 10-15 minutes, before a commission of faculty lecturers. The only examinations connected with admission are the unibz Language Centre LANGUAGE exams, and only for candidates who choose that proof route: Early Bird — 16/03/2026 (registration 02-09/03/2026) and 16-17 and 20-21/04/2026 (registration 24/03-08/04/2026); Late — 22-26/06/2026 (registration 28/05-15/06/2026). NOTE: the Additional Application Session block publishes NO language exam dates, so that route appears unavailable for applicants in the currently open window. • At application, online via the Application Portal (https://aws.unibz.it/exup): create an account and upload a valid ID card or passport, front and back — 'if your document is invalid, incomplete or unreadable, you will be excluded from the admission procedure'; fill in the online form and upload the attachments listed under 'Admission procedure'; upload the VIDEO (max 2 min, max 150 MB, .mov/.mp4/.mpg/.avi/.wmv, named surname_name.format) by the application deadline — two separate videos if applying to both majors; upload language certificates under 'upload language certificates' (mandatory for the 1st and 2nd language, recommended for the 3rd from B1 upwards) and/or register for Language Centre exams under 'enrol for language exams'; a self-declaration if the final language certificate was awarded by an Italian public institution, or a scanned copy of the original if awarded by a foreign public institution; if the qualification was gained abroad, the diploma of the qualification (if not yet held, it is uploaded at enrolment); for non-EU citizens resident in Italy claiming parity of treatment, a copy of the valid permit to stay (plus a renewal request if expired). Then, after the deadline, the documentation of the PRACTICAL CREATIVE WORK, submitted by the modalities communicated by e-mail together with the topic — never by post. NOTE: there is no motivation letter, no CV upload, no reference letters and NO study-career Excel template (that structured upload is a master-level requirement). Once the application has been sent it cannot be modified, and 'Filled-in forms which have not been sent correctly will not be taken into consideration.' Mendacious declarations are criminally prosecuted and result in automatic exclusion from the ranking list. At enrolment, holders of a foreign secondary school qualification must additionally upload the secondary school diploma, an official translation into Italian (not necessary for diplomas issued in German or English), and the ARDI/CIMEA statements described under credential_recognition. Students transferring from another Italian university must submit a copy of the transfer application to the Student Office at the beginning of the academic year.
