Kampüs

Bozen-Bolzano (main campus). Faculty of Agricultural, Environmental and Food Sciences, Universitaetsplatz 5 / piazza Universita 5, 39100 Bozen-Bolzano, Italy. Single campus - no Brixen-Bressanone, Bruneck-Brunico, NOI Techpark, Trento or Innsbruck component. Teaching is combined with practical exercises and fieldwork carried out in South Tyrol, and the compulsory internship (minimum 150 hours) may be done at Italian or foreign partner businesses.

Derece Sınıfı

Kabul Tipi

restricted access (numerus clausus) with merit-based ranking on school records - NO entrance exam, NO test, NO interview. This is the key structural difference from the unibz engineering bachelors: there is no unibz admission exam, no TOLC-I and no CENT-S. Fixed places: 70 for EU citizens and persons given parity of treatment (50 Early Bird + 20 Late) and 4 for non-EU citizens living abroad. A language-requirement check acts as a hard pre-filter before ranking. Selection is a documents-only evaluation worth a maximum of 15 points, built entirely from upper-secondary school grades that the candidate self-certifies in the application portal. Verbatim: 'The evaluation procedure is based exclusively on the documents submitted by the candidate when submitting the application via the relevant portal.'

Resmî Eğitim Dili

Trilingual (Italian / German / English). The admission information states verbatim: 'The official teaching languages are German, Italian and English.' Weighting in practice (unibz 'Course Offering - Enrolled from 2025' listing for both semesters, checked 2026-08-29): approximately 7 courses in Italian, 7 in English and 5 in German. Italian and English are tied as the largest teaching languages and German is a close third, so no single language dominates. Crucially, several compulsory core courses are offered in one language only and have no English alternative: Fundamentals of Chemistry, Fundamentals of Agricultural and Forest Engineering, Informatics, General Arboriculture, Rural Appraisal and Marketing for the Agricultural and Forestry Sector, Biology of Microorganisms of Agricultural and Forestry Interest and Agricultural and Forestry Mechanization are Italian-only; Plant and Animal Biology, Sustainable Animal Husbandry and Grassland Management, Fundamentals of Soil Science and Soil Chemistry and Fundamentals of Agricultural and Forestry Economics and Policy are German-only. English-taught core courses are Mathematics and Applied Statistics, Fundamentals of Plant Production, Biochemistry and Plant Physiology and Entomology and Phytopathology. The programme therefore cannot be completed in English alone. English is proportionally weaker here than in the unibz engineering bachelors, because the Italian- and German-only blocks cover both the basic-science and the applied-agronomy backbone.

AB / AEA adayları

Three separate sessions for EU citizens and persons given parity of treatment; all cut-offs are at 12:00 noon local time. (1) Early Bird Application: 2 Mart 2026 to 28 Nisan 2026. (2) Late Application (EU only): 28 Mayıs 2026 to 8 Temmuz 2026. (3) Additional Application Session (EU only, opened by the Faculty in August/September only if places remain, and confirmed open for this programme): 18 Ağustos 2026 to 4 Eylül 2026. Original unibz notation, DD/MM/YYYY: '02/03 - 28/04/2026', '28/05 - 08/07/2026', '18/08 - 04/09/2026'. Candidates excluded in the first session may reapply in the next one - 'If you are excluded in the first session, you might apply again in the second one' - and the 2026/27 ranking lists show this happening in practice, with two Early Bird language-exclusions returning as admitted in the Late session. Once submitted, an application cannot be modified: 'Once the application has been sent, it cannot be modified. Filled-in forms which have not been sent correctly will not be taken into consideration.' Because only 34 of 70 EU places were filled across the first two sessions, the Additional Session was still live at the verification date of 29 Ağustos 2026.

AB / AEA dışı adaylar

One single window for non-EU citizens living abroad: 2 Mart 2026 to 28 Nisan 2026 (12:00 noon local time) - i.e. the Early Bird session only. Verbatim: 'Only one application period is offered. After the deadline it is not possible to apply anymore.' Non-EU applicants living abroad are excluded from the Late Application and from the Additional Application Session, both of which are explicitly EU-only. A non-refundable EUR 50 application fee applies to this group. Practical consequence for Turkish applicants resident in Turkey: the 28 Nisan 2026 noon deadline is the only chance in the cycle, and the required B2+B2 language proof must already be in hand or booked via a Language Centre exam on 16 Mart 2026 or 16 Nisan 2026/17/20/21 - the June exam window falls after the non-EU deadline and is therefore useless to this group. Encouragingly, and unlike the unibz engineering bachelors, this route did produce admissions in 2026/27: 2 of the 6 non-EU applicants living abroad were admitted.

Kabul koşulları

Akademik geçmiş

Secondary school leaving certificate from the Italian system, or an equivalent qualification obtained abroad. Verbatim: 'Foreign school leaving certificates are considered equivalent if obtained after 12 years of education. In this case, you furthermore must have attended at least the last two years in the foreign school system (e.g. Irish Leaving Certificate: it is not enough to attend one year and obtain the foreign certificate).' The Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research imposes extra requirements on holders of certain certificates (explicitly named: American high school diplomas, British and Greek certificates) - candidates must contact apply@unibz.it (Advisory Service). Applicants must also satisfy the language requirements or they are excluded from the procedure. Subject-specific expectation, stated under Additional educational requirements: 'For this programme an adequate initial preparation in mathematics, physics, chemistry and biology is required. Initial preparation is verified through school records.' No ECTS/SSD credit prerequisites apply - that regime concerns master programmes. National rule: simultaneous enrolment in a maximum of 2 study programmes is allowed, provided they are not in the same degree class (e.g. not L-18/L-18) and differ in at least 2/3 of the course contents. A Turkish 'Lise Diplomasi' meets the 12-year rule but must be accompanied by ARDI/CIMEA documentation (see credential_recognition), and Turkish-language school report cards must be officially translated (see required_documents).

Dil yeterliliği

Trilingual regime with a hard two-language entry bar. Entry: B2 in the first language AND B2 in the second language; no level required in the third language at entry. The three languages are German, Italian and English - 'Your first language is the language in which you have the highest level of proficiency (B2 or C1). Your third language is instead the language in which you are weaker (or in which you are an absolute beginner).' Failure to prove the required levels means exclusion from the admission procedure: 'The official teaching languages are German, Italian and English. Therefore, the following language requirements apply, otherwise you will be excluded from the admission procedure.' Certification is mandatory for the first and second language and recommended (from B1 upwards) for the third. B1 in the third language is the minimum for sitting curricular exams held in that language; if the first semester is taught only in English and English is the applicant's third language, at least B1 English must be certified by mid-January. Exit (to graduate): C1 first language, C1 second language, B2 third language. CEFR levels apply throughout. Free Language Centre courses support the third language (target B1 by end of year 1, B2 by end of year 2), delivered as extensive courses of 4 hours per week during semesters and intensive courses of 6 hours per day between semesters. Unlike the engineering bachelors there is no relaxed dual-study variant at B2/B1 - B2/B2 is the only entry standard here. For an English-only international applicant this is the binding constraint; it excluded 15 EU-track and 4 non-EU applicants in the Early Bird session alone.

Sınav / değerlendirme
  • None. There is no entrance examination of any kind for this programme - no unibz admission exam, no TOLC-I, no CENT-S, no SAT and no subject test. The admission information PDF contains no exam date, and the signed ranking decrees list only a documents-based score out of 15. This is a substantive difference from the 2019/20 predecessor programme, whose Study Manifesto still listed a 'test d'ingresso' alongside the school-record evaluation ('Procedura di selezione: Valutazione del rendimento scolastico e test d'ingresso'); the current regime has dropped the test and kept only the school-record evaluation. The only scheduled assessments an applicant may need to sit are the unibz Language Centre language exams (online, B2 level only), which prove language proficiency rather than academic aptitude: 16 Mart 2026 (registration 2 Mart 2026 to 9 Mart 2026)
  • 16 Nisan 2026, 17 Nisan 2026, 20 Nisan 2026 and 21 Nisan 2026 (registration 24 Mart 2026 to 8 Nisan 2026)
  • 22 Haziran 2026 to 26 Haziran 2026 for the Late session (registration 28 Mayıs 2026 to 15 Haziran 2026). No language exams are offered during the Additional Application Session, so applicants in that window must already hold a recognised certificate. Separately, an OFA remedial exam in mathematics and/or chemistry may be imposed AFTER admission (see ofa_rules).

Hazırlanacak belgeler

    • At application: (a) an account on the Application Portal (https://aws.unibz.it/exup) plus a valid ID card or passport, front and back, scanned - 'if your document is invalid, incomplete or unreadable, you will be excluded from the admission procedure'
    • (b) the completed online form with all attachments
    • (c) the secondary school leaving certificate / diploma - if the qualification was gained abroad and the diploma is not yet issued, it must be uploaded at enrolment instead

  • 1) Academic year: all dates, quotas and fees are the published 2026/27 cycle. As of the verification date (29 Ağustos 2026) the Early Bird and Late ranking lists are signed and published, and the Additional Session is live - its application window closes 4 Eylül 2026 and its ranking list is due by 18 Eylül 2026, so the final 2026/27 intake figures are not yet known. Figures for 2027/28 are not published. 2) Programme renaming: unibz publishes no explicit notice of the name change. The chain (Scienze agrarie, degli Alimenti e dell'Ambiente montano -> Agricultural and Agro-Environmental Sciences -> Sustainable Agriculture and Forestry in Mountain Environments) is reconstructed from the 2019/20 Study Manifesto, the still-live legacy URL slug, and the unrevised Grade Statistics L-25 page which still carries the older English name. The inference that the new name and study plan took effect in 2025/26 rests on the course-offering page exposing only one cohort tab, 'Enrolled from 2025'; no decree confirming the year was found. 3) Teaching-language weighting: the 7 IT / 7 EN / 5 DE split comes from the 'Enrolled from 2025' course-offering listing, which unibz explicitly says 'shows the lectures that are currently offered in the two semesters. It does not illustrate the structure of the study programme' - it is a snapshot, not a full-curriculum count, and third-year major-specific courses are under-represented in it. Language allocation can change by cohort and by major. 4) Selection threshold: no minimum pass mark is published; the absence is inferred from the admission PDF and both signed ranking decrees. The observed admitted-score floors (3.48 Early Bird, 5.00 Late) are outcomes of undersubscription, not published cut-offs, and must not be treated as a guaranteed bar for future cycles. 5) OFA wording is internally inconsistent at the boundary: the text requires 'a minimum grade point average of 3' yet assigns OFA to those obtaining '3 points or less', so a score of exactly 3 is ambiguous and has been read here as triggering the OFA. 6) Official call: unibz publishes no English-language bando for bachelor programmes, and a programme-specific Regolamento didattico / Studienordnung under the current name was not locatable in any language. 7) Conditional admission: the reservation mechanism is documented, but no ECTS-based conditional admission and no late-enrolment window are published for this bachelor; the description is assembled from the general enrolment rules. 8) URL slug traps: the CoursesPDF slug ('bachelor-in-sustainable-agriculture-and-forestry-in-mountain-environments') differs from the page slug, and the two 2026/27 ranking-list files themselves use inconsistent slugs ('Bachelor-Sustainable-...' vs 'Bachelor-in-Sustainable-...'); a scraper assuming one convention will 404. 9) Scholarship figures: the official Study Guide 'Study Grants' page does not publish amounts; the EUR 1,680-6,960 range and 27/30 merit rule were taken from the 'Studying at unibz' applicant page and are not programme-specific. 10) Non-EU reality check, stated positively: unlike the unibz engineering bachelors, this programme did admit non-EU applicants living abroad in 2026/27 (2 of 6), so the nominal 4 non-EU places represent a real if narrow opening - but 4 of the 6 applicants were still rejected on the two-language B2 requirement, which remains the decisive filter for English-only candidates. 11) The Additional Session is EU-only and offers no Language Centre exams, so an applicant entering through it must already hold recognised certificates and cannot attend the September intensive language courses.

The legacy slug https://www.unibz.it/en/faculties/agricultural-environmental-food-sciences/bachelor-agriculture-food-sciences-mountain-environment/ still resolves and displays the current programme. Programme Director: Prof. Hannes Schuler. Faculty: Agricultural, Environmental and Food Sciences, Universitaetsplatz 5 / piazza Universita 5, 39100 Bozen-Bolzano.
  • Call for applications link note: https://www.unibz.it/en/faculties/agricultural-environmental-food-sciences/bachelor-sustainable-agriculture-forestry-mountain-environments (the 'Application and Admission' section of the programme page, mirrored verbatim by the admission-information PDF, is the operative call). unibz does not publish a separate English-language call/bando for bachelor programmes; the operative legal instruments are the signed ranking decrees (Italian/German only, linked under ranking_list_url) and the university Admission Regulations (Regolamento di ammissione / Zulassungsordnung), published only in Italian and German via the records portal https://records.unibz.it/regolamenti . Additional session rules: https://www.unibz.it/en/applicants/additional-application-session . A programme-specific Regolamento didattico / Studienordnung under the new programme name was not locatable in English, Italian or German during this verification. [uncertain]
  • Tuition and fees link note: Approximately EUR 1,200 per academic year, in two instalments. Verbatim: 'Fees amount to EUR 1200. 1st instalment (EUR 600): includes the revenue stamp of EUR 16. 2nd instalment (EUR 600): must be paid by March of the following year.' The first instalment is what secures the place after the ranking list is published. 'Delayed payment of the second instalment will result in a fine being levied. If you have not paid the tuition fees, you will be unable to take exams and will not be able to transfer to other universities or other study programmes.' No refund on drop-out, interruption or exclusion. Exemptions: students with a disability recognised under article 3, paragraph 1 of Law No 104/1992 or with a disability of 66% or more (certificate to be handed in at the start of the academic year); foreign students granted a scholarship from the Italian government. Students holding a scholarship from the Autonomous Province of Bozen-Bolzano receive a refund of the tuition fees. For historical context, the 2019/20 predecessor programme charged EUR 1,347.50 per year, so current fees are slightly lower in nominal terms.
