Bozen-Bolzano (main city campus, Universitätsplatz 1 / piazza Università 1, 39100 Bozen-Bolzano). Faculty of Agricultural, Environmental and Food Sciences. The 'At a glance' box states simply 'Campus: Bozen-Bolzano'. Practical teaching also uses the Faculty's food laboratories and Kitchen Lab at NOI Techpark Bozen-Bolzano, and the programme runs eno-gastronomy workshops off campus in Merano (Castel Fragsburg, Palace Meran) plus excursions and study trips. Not Brixen-Bressanone, Bruneck-Brunico, Trento or Innsbruck.

Kabul Tipi
Restricted access (numero programmato / limited places) with a merit-based ranking list. There is NO entrance exam, no TOLC, no CENT-S, no SAT, no interview, no portfolio and no motivation letter. Selection is a purely documentary evaluation of upper-secondary-school grades (max 15 points) by a Faculty admission commission, preceded by an eliminatory language-eligibility gate (B2 in the 1st language + B1 in the 2nd). Separate ranking lists are drawn up for (a) EU citizens and citizens given parity of treatment and (b) non-EU citizens living abroad. OFA (additional learning obligations) in Mathematics and/or Chemistry are assigned within the same procedure.
Resmî Eğitim Dili
Trilingual (English / Italian / German). The 'At a glance' box states: 'Courses will be taught in English, Italian and German (trilingual)'. Per-course language tags in the official L-26 course-description PDF give the following credit weighting: YEAR 1 (63 CP, identical for both majors) is English-leaning — English 37 CP (Elements of Mathematics and Statistics 8; Principles of General, Organic and Biological Chemistry 9; Plant Biodiversity and Sustainable Cultivation Methods 12; Biology of Microorganisms and Secondary Metabolites 8), German 20 CP (Sustainable Management and Environmental Impact of Livestock Production Systems 8; Physics and Computer Science 6; Food Systems 6), Italian 6 CP (Agri-food Marketing and Law). YEAR 2 flips to Italian-dominant: in the Food Technology major Italian 30 CP, English 9 CP, German 9 CP (plus 12 CP language-neutral free choice/internship); in the Enogastronomy major Italian 30 CP, German 16 CP, English 3 CP (plus 6 CP internship). YEAR 3: Food Technology English 12 / Italian 9 / German 12; Enogastronomy English 18 / Italian 9 / German 12. WHOLE-DEGREE TOTALS: Food Technology major — English 58 CP, Italian 45 CP, German 41 CP, language-neutral 36 CP (free choice, internships, thesis, transversal skills); Enogastronomy major — English 58 CP, Italian 45 CP, German 48 CP, language-neutral 29 CP. English is therefore the single largest language but only about one third of the degree, and there is NO English-only pathway: German is compulsory from the first semester of year 1 and Italian becomes the dominant language of year 2. A compulsory 3 CP 'Specialised Language (English)' course (B2/B2+ level) sits in year 2 of both majors. — the credit split is reconstructed from the per-module language tags in the L-26 course-description PDF (dated 01.02.2025); one module (Sustainable cultivation methods and quality of products for food processing) is tagged 3 credits in that PDF but 6 CP in the 2026/27 brochure study plan.

Three sessions for EU citizens and citizens given parity of treatment (unibz publishes DD/MM/YYYY; ISO normalised below). Early Bird Application: 02/03/2026 - 28/04/2026 by noon local time = 2 Mart 2026 to 28 Nisan 2026. Late Application (EU only): 28/05/2026 - 08/07/2026 by noon local time = 28 Mayıs 2026 to 8 Temmuz 2026. Additional Application Session (EU only, opened by the Faculty in August/September if places remain — and it WAS opened for this programme in 2026/27): 18/08/2026 - 04/09/2026 by noon local time = 18 Ağustos 2026 to 4 Eylül 2026. EU applicants may apply for more than one study programme, and an applicant excluded in one session may apply again in the next — three Early Bird rejects did exactly that and were admitted in the Late session.
AB / AEA dışı adaylar
ONE window only for non-EU citizens living outside Italy: the Early Bird Application, 02/03/2026 - 28/04/2026 by noon local time = 2 Mart 2026 to 28 Nisan 2026. 'Only one application period is offered. After the deadline it is not possible to apply anymore.' Non-EU applicants living abroad are NOT eligible for the Late Application or the Additional Application Session, pay a non-refundable €50 application fee, are ranked on a separate list against a separate 4-place quota, and must additionally pre-enrol on the Universitaly portal (one programme only) for the study visa. For academic year 2026/27 this window is closed; the next opportunity for a non-EU applicant living abroad is the 2027/28 Early Bird session (expected around March-April 2027).
2. Kabul koşulları
Akademik geçmiş
Required qualification (one of): (a) a secondary school leaving certificate of the Italian system; or (b) an equivalent qualification obtained abroad. A foreign school-leaving certificate counts as equivalent only if obtained after 12 years of education AND the applicant attended at least the last two years in that foreign school system (stated example: an Irish Leaving Certificate obtained after only one year is not sufficient). The Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research sets additional specific requirements for holders of certain certificates — American high school diplomas, British and Greek certificates are named explicitly; those applicants should contact apply@unibz.it (Advisory Service). Beyond the title, the programme requires 'an adequate initial preparation in mathematics, physics, chemistry and biology', verified through school records; an incomplete preparation does not exclude the candidate but triggers OFA. Language requirements (1st language B2, 2nd language B1) are a separate, eliminatory condition. No ECTS/SSD credit requirements apply (bachelor level). National rule: simultaneous enrolment in a maximum of 2 study programmes is allowed provided they do not belong to the same class and differ in at least 2/3 of course contents.
Dil yeterliliği
The official teaching languages are German, Italian and English, and the language rule is eliminatory: failing it means exclusion from the admission procedure, not a lower rank. ENTRY: 1st language B2, 2nd language B1, 3rd language no level required — with the explicit note 'Preference will be given to candidates with a B2 level in their 2nd language'. EXIT (to graduate): 1st language C1, 2nd language B2, 3rd language B2. Language positions are defined by the applicant's own proficiency, not by which language it is: the 1st language is the one in which the applicant is strongest (B2 or C1), the 3rd the weakest, possibly absolute beginner. Certification is MANDATORY for the 1st and 2nd language and recommended (from B1 upwards) for the 3rd. A B1 level in the third language is the minimum requirement for taking curricular examinations held in that language — a real constraint here, because the compulsory first year contains 20 CP of German and 6 CP of Italian courses alongside 37 CP of English ones, so a student cannot avoid sitting exams in at least two languages. Admitted students who cannot certify the third language take a placement test (details by e-mail) and are assigned a learning path aiming at B2 'as soon as possible'. Language Centre courses are free: extensive courses 4 h/week during semesters, intensive courses 8 h/week between semesters, and a three-week pre-semester intensive session 01-18/09/2026 (Mon-Fri, 6 h/day). A1 beginner courses are offered ONLY in that September pre-semester session and no longer during the academic year, so absolute beginners must start there. Target levels in the third language: B1 by the end of year 1, B2 by the end of year 2.
Sınav / değerlendirme
NONE. No unibz admission exam, no TOLC-I, no CENT-S, no SAT and no subject test. The only examinations connected with admission are LANGUAGE exams at the unibz Language Centre, and only for applicants who choose that route of proof: Early Bird session — 16/03/2026 (registration 02-09/03/2026) and 16-17 and 20-21/04/2026 (registration 24/03-08/04/2026); Late session — 22-26/06/2026 (registration 28/05-15/06/2026). For this programme B1 AND B2 level exams can be registered for (unlike programmes requiring B2/B2, where only B2 exams are available), but only one level per language per session. Separately, AFTER admission there are non-selective instruments: a specific OFA exam in Mathematics and/or Chemistry (with catch-up courses and a Mathematics pre-course 21/09-09/10/2026), and a third-language placement test for admitted students who cannot certify their third language.
3. Hazırlanacak belgeler
At application (online via https://aws.unibz.it/exup/): a valid ID card or passport, front and back — 'if your document is invalid, incomplete or unreadable, you will be excluded from the admission procedure'; the completed online form; self-certified subjects and final grades for the third-last and penultimate year of upper secondary school; for years completed abroad, scanned copies of the relevant report cards plus, for foreign schools, the complete grading scale indicating the pass mark; official translations of the report cards into Italian, German or English where necessary; language certificates uploaded under 'upload language certificates' (mandatory for the 1st and 2nd language, recommended for the 3rd) and/or registration for Language Centre exams; the diploma of the qualification if already obtained abroad; for non-EU citizens resident in Italy claiming parity of treatment, a copy of the valid permit to stay (plus renewal request if expired). NOTE: there is NO 'study career' Excel template for this programme — that structured upload is a master-level requirement. At enrolment, holders of a foreign secondary school qualification must additionally upload the secondary school diploma; an official translation into Italian (not needed for diplomas issued in German or English); and the ARDI and/or CIMEA statements described under credential_recognition. Once submitted the application cannot be modified, and forms filled in but not correctly sent are disregarded. Mendacious declarations are criminally prosecuted and cause automatic exclusion from the ranking list. Students transferring from another Italian university must give the Student Office a copy of the transfer application at the start of the academic year; non-EU students must hand in a copy of the residence permit once obtained.
Data year: all figures are for academic year 2026/27; the admission-information PDF carries 'Latest update: 19.08.2026' and the express caveat 'Subject to change'. Verified 29 Ağustos 2026. TIME-CRITICAL: the Early Bird and Late sessions for 2026/27 are closed and their ranking lists are published, but the Additional Application Session (18/08-04/09/2026, EU citizens and citizens given parity of treatment only) is OPEN at the verification date and closes at noon on 04/09/2026 — six days later. (1) Teaching-language weighting is reconstructed from the per-module tags in the L-26 course-description PDF dated 01.02.2025 combined with the brochure study plans; one module is tagged '3 credits EN' in the course description but 6 CP in the brochure (Sustainable cultivation methods and quality of products for food processing), so the English total may be 3 CP lower than stated. Free-choice credits, internships and the thesis carry no fixed language and are excluded from the per-language totals. (2) Programme history: the identification of this degree as a renamed and restructured continuation of the 'Bachelor in Enogastronomy in Mountain Areas' (announced 22/03/2022) is inferred from the legacy URL redirect, the surviving 'course offering 2022' page for students 'Enrolled before 2025', and the 'coorte 2025' wording of the scholarship call — unibz does not state the rename in English. (3) Meran-Merano scholarship: the only published call is for the 2025 cohort (deadline 21/07/2026, already passed); the 2026/27 round is announced on the programme page but no call document was published at the verification date, and the two texts differ on whether four scholarships are RESERVED for Meran-Merano residents or residents merely have PRIORITY in the ranking. (4) The ranking-list PDFs print 'Bolzano, data della firma' rather than a typed date; the dates cited (15/05/2026 Early Bird, 17/07/2026 Late) are PDF creation timestamps, not the certified signature dates. (5) In the Early Bird EU list, positions 22-27 are printed out of score order (6.85, then 13.92, 13.00, 8.65, 5.95, 3.00), suggesting a second batch appended to the decree; the admitted count of 27 is stated in words and is reliable, the internal ordering less so. (6) Provincial study-grant amounts are not confirmed for 2026/27; the €1,680-€6,960 range in the field schema comes from secondary summaries and could not be verified on any page checked for this programme. (7) No separate call/manifesto exists in English; the Faculty 'regolamento di ammissione' referenced by the ranking decrees was not located at a public URL. (8) No 'study career' Excel template and no bachelor-level ECTS conditional-admission threshold apply here — both are master-level instruments. (9) Turkish-applicant relevance: Türkiye's status as a Lisbon Convention signatory (hence case (b) recognition: ARDI + CIMEA verification) is inferred from convention membership, not stated by unibz for this programme. (10) Campus: 'Bozen-Bolzano' is the official designation; the additional use of NOI Techpark laboratories and the Merano workshop venues comes from the 2022 launch news item and the programme page photo captions, not from a formal location statement, so day-to-day teaching may be split across sites.
Programme page link note: https://www.unibz.it/en/faculties/agricultural-environmental-food-sciences/bachelor-food-enogastronomy-sciences (the legacy URL https://www.unibz.it/en/faculties/agricultural-environmental-food-sciences/bachelor-enogastronomy-mountain-areas/ resolves to the same page). Italian: https://www.unibz.it/it/faculties/agricultural-environmental-food-sciences/bachelor-food-enogastronomy-sciences
Call for applications link note: No separate call for applications / manifesto degli studi is published in English for this programme. The role of the official call is played by the programme's admission-information document together with the signed bilingual ranking-list decrees, which restate the selection criteria and carry the 60-day appeal notice to the Administrative Court of Bolzano. Those decrees refer to a binding 'regolamento di ammissione della Facoltà' (Faculty admission regulation) and to art. 17 of the admission regulation governing the formation of ranking lists. [uncertain] — the Faculty admission regulation itself and any Rector's decree opening the 2026/27 procedure were not located at a public English URL; they may exist only in the Italian/German albo online.
Tuition and fees link note: Total tuition fees are €1,200 per year in two instalments: 1st instalment €600 (including the €16 revenue stamp / marca da bollo) — this is the payment that secures the place after admission; 2nd instalment €600, due by March of the following year. Late payment of the second instalment incurs a fine; unpaid fees block exam-taking and any transfer to another university or study programme. No refund if you drop out, interrupt your studies or are excluded. Exemptions: students with a disability recognised under article 3 paragraph 1 of Law no. 104/1992 or with a disability of 66% or more (health-authority certificate to be handed in at the start of the academic year), and foreign students holding an Italian government scholarship. Students awarded a scholarship by the Autonomous Province of Bozen-Bolzano are entitled to a refund of the tuition fees.
