Kampüs

NOI Techpark, Bozen-Bolzano (Faculty of Engineering, Bruno-Buozzi-Strasse 1 / via Bruno Buozzi 1, 39100 Bozen-Bolzano). Single campus; no Brixen/Bruneck/Trento/Innsbruck component. Dual-study students additionally spend four of eight semesters at their partner company, which is normally located in South Tyrol.

Derece Sınıfı

L-9

Kabul Tipi

restricted access (numerus clausus) + entrance exam. Fixed places: 70 for EU citizens and persons given parity of treatment (50 Early Bird + 20 Late) and 4 for non-EU citizens living abroad. Selection is by a multiple-choice knowledge test in mathematics and physics/chemistry, taken as ONE of three alternatives: the unibz admission exam (online), TOLC-I, or CENT-S. A language-requirement check acts as a pre-filter before ranking. No interview, no portfolio, no motivation letter, no SAT. Ranking is by normalised test score only.

Resmî Eğitim Dili

Trilingual (Italian / German / English). The admission information states verbatim: 'The official teaching languages are German, Italian and English.' Weighting in practice (unibz 'Course Offering - Enrolled from 2025' listing for academic year 2026/27, both semesters): approximately 11 courses in English, 4 in Italian, 5 in German, plus one 12 CP module split IT+DE (Materials Science and Technology in IT, Mechanics of Structures in DE). English is therefore the single largest language (~55-60% of listed lectures), but several compulsory core courses are offered in one language only and have no English alternative: Mathematical Analysis 1 and Mathematical Analysis 2 (Italian), General and Inorganic Chemistry, Production Systems and Industrial Logistics, Fluid Mechanics and PLM Product Life Cycle Management (German). Consequently the programme cannot be completed in English alone.

Başvuru takvimi

AB / AEA adayları

Three separate sessions for EU citizens and persons given parity of treatment; all cut-offs are at 12:00 noon local time. (1) Early Bird Application: 2 Mart 2026 to 28 Nisan 2026. (2) Late Application (EU only): 28 Mayıs 2026 to 8 Temmuz 2026. (3) Additional Application Session (EU only, opened by the Faculty in August/September only if places remain): 18 Ağustos 2026 to 4 Eylül 2026. Original unibz notation, DD/MM/YYYY: '02/03 - 28/04/2026', '28/05 - 08/07/2026', '18/08 - 04/09/2026'. Candidates excluded in the first session may reapply in the next one, and a test score already obtained remains valid for a re-application in the second session. Once submitted, an application cannot be modified.

AB / AEA dışı adaylar

One single window for non-EU citizens living abroad: 2 Mart 2026 to 28 Nisan 2026 (12:00 noon local time) - i.e. the Early Bird session only. Verbatim: 'Only one application period is offered. After the deadline it is not possible to apply anymore.' Non-EU applicants living abroad are excluded from the Late Application and from the Additional Application Session, both of which are explicitly EU-only. A non-refundable EUR 50 application fee applies to this group. Practical consequence for Turkish applicants resident in Turkey: the 28 Nisan 2026 noon deadline is the only chance in the cycle, and the required B2+B2 language proof must already be in hand or booked via a Language Centre exam on 16 Mart 2026 or 16 Nisan 2026/17/20/21.

Kabul koşulları

Akademik geçmiş

Secondary school leaving certificate from the Italian system, or an equivalent qualification obtained abroad. Verbatim: 'Foreign school leaving certificates are considered equivalent if obtained after 12 years of education. In this case, you furthermore must have attended at least the last two years in the foreign school system (e.g. Irish Leaving Certificate: it is not enough to attend one year and obtain the foreign certificate).' The Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research imposes extra requirements on holders of certain certificates (explicitly named: American high school diplomas, British and Greek certificates) - candidates must contact apply@unibz.it (Advisory Service). Applicants must also satisfy the language requirements or they are excluded from the procedure. No ECTS/SSD credit prerequisites apply (that regime concerns master programmes; the 2024 SSD reform codes such as IINF-04/A, MATH-03/A, IIND-07/B appear only as course classifications inside this bachelor). National rule: simultaneous enrolment in a maximum of 2 study programmes is allowed, provided they are not in the same degree class (e.g. not L-18/L-18) and differ in at least 2/3 of the course contents. A Turkish 'Lise Diplomasi' meets the 12-year rule but must be accompanied by ARDI/CIMEA documentation (see credential_recognition).

Dil yeterliliği

Trilingual regime with a hard two-language entry bar. Entry: B2 in the first language AND B2 in the second language (dual-study majors: B2 first language, B1 second language); no level required in the third language at entry. The three languages are German, Italian and English - 'Your first language is the language in which you have the highest level of proficiency (B2 or C1). Your third language is instead the language in which you are weaker (or in which you are an absolute beginner).' Failure to prove the required levels means exclusion from the admission procedure ('otherwise you will be excluded from the admission procedure'). Certification is mandatory for the first and second language and recommended (from B1 upwards) for the third. B1 in the third language is the minimum for sitting curricular exams held in that language; if the first semester is taught only in English and English is the applicant's third language, at least B1 English must be certified by mid-January. Exit (to graduate): C1 first language, C1 second language, B2 third language. CEFR levels apply throughout. Free Language Centre courses support the third language (target B1 by end of year 1, B2 by end of year 2). For an English-only international applicant this is the binding constraint - see english_only_accessibility.

Sınav / değerlendirme

Three alternative tests, each with its own calendar - the applicant chooses one. (1) unibz admission exam - held ONLINE by unibz. Dates 2026/27: Early Bird 14 Mayıs 2026 at 15:00 local time; Late 16 Temmuz 2026 at 15:00; Additional Session 14 Eylül 2026 at 15:00. Sections scored: mathematics and physics/chemistry. Preparation material published by the Faculty of Engineering: Mock Admission Test (https://www.unibz.it/assets/Documents/Faculty-Engineering/Mock-Admission-Test-ENG.pdf) and Possible Topics (https://www.unibz.it/assets/Documents/Faculty-Engineering/Topics-Admission-ENG.pdf). (2) TOLC-I (CISIA national engineering test) - 'can be taken at any university; at unibz it will be held in person on the dates listed in the Deadlines and Important Dates section.' Sections scored for this ranking: mathematics and science. Calendar: https://testcisia.it/calendario.php?tolc=ingegneria. (3) CENT-S (CISIA) - same rules as TOLC-I; sections scored: mathematics and physics. Calendar: https://testcisia.it/calendario.php?tolc=cents&l=it&lingua=inglese. The TOLC-I/CENT-S route is newly admitted from 2026/27. No separate deadline is published for TOLC-I/CENT-S beyond 'available deadlines' on the CISIA calendar; in practice the result must exist by the application deadline of the chosen session.

Hazırlanacak belgeler

    • At application: (a) an account on the Application Portal (https://aws.unibz.it/exup) plus a valid ID card or passport, front and back, scanned - 'if your document is invalid, incomplete or unreadable, you will be excluded from the admission procedure'
    • (b) the completed online form with all attachments
    • (c) the secondary school leaving certificate / diploma - if the qualification was gained abroad and the diploma is not yet issued, it must be uploaded at enrolment instead

  • 1) Academic year: all dates, quotas and fees are the published 2026/27 cycle. As of the verification date (29 Ağustos 2026) that cycle is essentially closed - the Early Bird and Late ranking lists are already signed and published, and only the Additional Session (application 18 Ağustos 2026 to 4 Eylül 2026) may still be running; figures for 2027/28 are not yet published. 2) Study plan count: the research outline notes '5 study plans' for this programme, but only four study-plan pages exist (Mechanics, Energy, Management, Industrial Automation) and unibz describes 'two study plan types for all four majors', i.e. 8 major/plan combinations rather than 5. The discrepancy could not be resolved from official pages. 3) Teaching-language weighting: the 11 EN / 4 IT / 5 DE split comes from the 'Course Offering - Enrolled from 2025' page, which unibz explicitly says 'shows the lectures that are currently offered in the two semesters. It does not illustrate the structure of the study programme' - it is therefore a snapshot, not a full-curriculum count, and language allocation can change by cohort and major. 4) Dual study: it is stated that dual plans exist for all four majors, but no separate dual study plan page or dual-specific curriculum is published in English, and the dual page is written for companies rather than applicants; the list of participating companies and how an international applicant would secure a contract are not published. 5) TOLC-I / CENT-S: no explicit cut-off date is given for taking the national test - the programme page only links the CISIA calendars, so the assumption that the result must exist by the session's application deadline is an inference. 6) Selection threshold: no minimum pass mark is published anywhere for this programme; the absence is inferred from the admission PDF and the signed ranking decree. 7) Scholarship amounts: the EUR 1,680-6,960 provincial grant range and the post-first-year merit average were not re-confirmed on a current unibz page during this verification; the unibz Study Guide page names the grant types but not the amounts. 8) Official call: unibz publishes no English-language bando for bachelor programmes; the Admission Regulations referenced in the ranking decree are available only in Italian and German. 9) Programme regulations (Regolamento didattico) are likewise published in Italian and German only. 10) The admission-information PDF slug differs from the page URL ('bachelor-in-industrial-and-mechanical-engineering' vs 'bachelor-industrial-mechanical-engineering'); a scraper using the page slug will get a 404. 11) Non-EU reality check: in 2026/27 every single non-EU applicant living abroad was rejected for failing the two-language B2 requirement, so the nominal 4 non-EU places should not be read as 4 realistic openings for English-only candidates.
  • Call for applications link note: https://www.unibz.it/en/faculties/engineering/bachelor-industrial-mechanical-engineering (the 'Application and Admission' section of the programme page, mirrored by the admission-information PDF, is the operative call). unibz does not publish a separate English-language call/bando for bachelor programmes; the underlying legal instrument cited in the signed ranking decrees is the 'Regolamento di ammissione / Zulassungsordnung' (Admission Regulations, art. 14 on the formation of ranking lists), which is published only in Italian and German via the records portal https://records-unibz.siavcloud.com/regolamenti_en?area=FACULTY%20OF%20ENGINEERING%20&priority=02&orderasc=sub_area. Additional session rules: https://www.unibz.it/en/applicants/additional-application-session [uncertain]
  • Tuition and fees link note: Approximately EUR 1,200 per academic year, in two instalments: 1st instalment EUR 600 (includes the EUR 16 revenue stamp / marca da bollo), paid to secure the place after the ranking list; 2nd instalment EUR 600, due by March of the following year. Late payment of the second instalment incurs a fine; unpaid fees block exams and any transfer to another university or programme. No refund on drop-out, interruption or exclusion. Exemptions: students with a disability recognised under article 3, paragraph 1 of Law No 104/1992 or with a disability of 66% or more (certificate to be handed in at the start of the academic year); foreign students holding an Italian government scholarship. Students holding a scholarship from the Autonomous Province of Bozen-Bolzano receive a refund of the tuition fees.
