Kabul Tipi

Restricted access (numero programmato / limited places) with a merit-based ranking list. There is NO entrance exam, no TOLC, no SAT, no interview and no portfolio. Selection is purely a documentary evaluation of secondary-school grades plus a small extracurricular bonus, carried out by an Admission Committee, followed by publication of a ranking list. Separate ranking lists are drawn up for (a) EU citizens and citizens given parity of treatment and (b) non-EU citizens living abroad. A prior language-eligibility gate (B2 in two of the three teaching languages) excludes applicants before ranking.

Resmî Eğitim Dili

Trilingual (Italian / German / English). Official teaching languages are German, Italian and English. Based on the published 2026/27 course offering, the language split is roughly: English ~57 CP, Italian ~39 CP, German ~36 CP of the mapped courses, i.e. English-leaning but with substantial Italian and German content. Critically, the ENTIRE first semester of year 1 is taught in English (Introduction to Programming 9 CP EN, Linear Algebra 6 CP EN, Discrete Mathematics 6 CP EN, Computer Systems Architecture 6 CP EN, English for Computer Scientists 3 CP EN = 30 CP, all EN). Italian and German enter from the second semester of year 1 (Analysis IT, Operating Systems M2 Programming in C IT, Web and Internet Engineering with Project DE). Later core courses in German include Software Engineering and Project (12 CP), Probability Theory and Statistics (6 CP) and Databases (12 CP); in Italian: Smart Software Systems (12 CP), Machine Learning (6 CP), Interactive Interface Design and Development (6 CP), Artificial Intelligence M1 (6 CP). Year 3 also has a compulsory 3 CP 'Italian for Computer Scientists / German for Computer Scientists' course. — exact credit weighting per language is derived from the 2026/27 course-offering page, which lists only the courses offered that year and not the full three-year plan.

AB / AEA adayları

Three sessions for EU citizens and citizens given parity of treatment (unibz publishes DD/MM/YYYY; ISO normalised below). Early Bird Application: 02/03/2026 - 28/04/2026 by noon local time = 2 Mart 2026 to 28 Nisan 2026. Late Application (EU only): 28/05/2026 - 08/07/2026 by noon local time = 28 Mayıs 2026 to 8 Temmuz 2026. Additional Application Session (EU only, opened by the Faculty in August/September only if places remain): 18/08/2026 - 04/09/2026 by noon local time = 18 Ağustos 2026 to 4 Eylül 2026. EU applicants may apply for more than one study programme, and an applicant excluded in the first session may apply again in the second.

AB / AEA dışı adaylar

ONE window only for non-EU citizens living outside Italy: the Early Bird Application, 02/03/2026 - 28/04/2026 by noon local time = 2 Mart 2026 to 28 Nisan 2026. 'Only one application period is offered. After the deadline it is not possible to apply anymore.' Non-EU applicants living abroad are NOT eligible for the Late Application or the Additional Application Session, and they pay a non-refundable €50 application fee. They are ranked on a separate ranking list against a separate 4-place quota, and must additionally pre-enrol on the Universitaly portal (one programme only) for the study visa.

Kabul koşulları

Akademik geçmiş

Required qualification (one of): (a) an Italian secondary school-leaving certificate; or (b) a foreign qualification recognised as equivalent. A foreign school-leaving certificate is considered equivalent only if obtained after 12 years of education AND the applicant attended at least the last two years in that foreign school system (explicit example given: an Irish Leaving Certificate obtained after attending only one year is not sufficient). The Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research sets additional specific requirements for holders of certain certificates — American high school diplomas, British and Greek certificates are named explicitly; applicants in these categories should contact apply@unibz.it (Advisory Service). In addition to the title, applicants must possess: (1) adequate general competence and disciplinary competence in the mathematical area — assessed from the average grade of the third-last and penultimate year of secondary school plus any other documents the commission requests; (2) adequate knowledge of at least two of the three teaching languages (B2 level — see language requirements). No specific ECTS/SSD credits apply (this is a bachelor programme). National rule: simultaneous enrolment in a maximum of 2 study programmes is allowed, but the two must not belong to the same class (e.g. not L-31/L-31) and must differ in at least 2/3 of the course contents.

Dil yeterliliği

The official teaching languages are German, Italian and English, and the language rule is eliminatory: failing it means exclusion from the admission procedure, not a lower rank. Entry: B2 in the 1st language AND B2 in the 2nd language; no level required in the 3rd language. Exit (to graduate): C1 / C1 / B2. Language positions are defined by the applicant's own proficiency, not by the language: the 1st language is the one in which the applicant is strongest, the 3rd the weakest (possibly absolute beginner). Certification is MANDATORY for the 1st and 2nd language and recommended (from B1 upwards) for the 3rd. A B1 level in the third language is the minimum requirement for taking curricular examinations in that specific language. Because the first semester of this programme is taught only in English, an applicant whose THIRD language is English must certify at least B1 in English by mid-January to be able to take all first-semester curricular exams. Free Language Centre courses target B1 in the third language by the end of year 1 and B2 by the end of year 2; A1 beginner courses are offered ONLY during the September pre-semester intensive session (01-18/09/2026, Mon-Fri, 6 h/day), so absolute beginners must start there. Admitted students who cannot certify the third language sit a placement test and are assigned a learning path. During the semesters there are extensive courses (4 h/week) and between semesters intensive courses (6 h/day); all Language Centre courses are free of charge.

Sınav / değerlendirme

NONE. There is no unibz aptitude/admission exam, no TOLC-I, no CENT-S, no SAT and no subject test for this programme. (This distinguishes it from the sister Bachelor in Electronic and Information Engineering, which does accept TOLC-I or CENT-S.) The only examinations connected to admission are LANGUAGE exams, and only for applicants who choose to prove proficiency that way: unibz Language Centre online language exams — Early Bird session 16/03/2026 (registration 02-09/03/2026) and 16-17 and 20-21/04/2026 (registration 24/03-08/04/2026); Late session 22-26/06/2026 (registration 28/05-15/06/2026). Only B2-level exams can be registered for. Separately, AFTER admission there is a non-selective mathematics catch-up test for students assigned OFA, and a third-language placement test for admitted students who cannot certify their third language.

Hazırlanacak belgeler

  • At application (online, via https://aws.unibz.it/exup/): a valid ID card or passport, front and back — an invalid, incomplete or unreadable document causes exclusion from the admission procedure; the completed online form; self-declared subjects and grades for the third-last and penultimate year of secondary school; copies of the relevant school report cards if those years were completed abroad, with an official translation into Italian, German or English if needed; the unibz self-declaration form for up to 2 certified extracurricular experiences in the science/IT field, with a contact person named for each (optional, worth up to 1 point); language certificates uploaded under the corresponding menu item (mandatory for the 1st and 2nd language, recommended for the 3rd) or registration for Language Centre exams; the diploma of the qualification if already obtained abroad; for non-EU citizens resident in Italy claiming parity of treatment, a copy of the valid permit to stay (plus renewal request if expired). NOTE: there is NO 'study career' Excel template for this programme — that structured upload is a master-level requirement. At enrolment, holders of a foreign secondary school qualification must additionally upload: the secondary school diploma; an official translation into Italian (not needed for diplomas issued in German or English); and, depending on the education system, the ARDI Statement of Correspondence and/or CIMEA statements (see credential_recognition). Once the application is submitted it CANNOT be modified, and forms filled in but not correctly sent are disregarded. Mendacious declarations are criminally prosecuted and cause automatic exclusion from the ranking list. Students transferring from another Italian university must submit a copy of the transfer application to the Student Office at the start of the academic year. Non-EU students must hand in a copy of the residence permit to the Student Office once obtained.

  • Data year: all figures are for academic year 2026/27; the admission-information PDF carries 'Latest update: 03.08.2026' and the express caveat 'Subject to change.' Verified as of 29 Ağustos 2026 — note that the Early Bird and Late sessions for 2026/27 have already CLOSED and their ranking lists are published; only the Additional Application Session (18/08-04/09/2026, EU only, if places remain) may still be open at the time of verification. (1) Apparent places conflict: the programme page and brochure say '50 EU + 4 non-EU' while the admission-information PDF splits EU places into 40 Early Bird + 10 Late. These reconcile (40+10=50); the PDF split is authoritative for per-session planning. An earlier automated reading of the HTML page reported '50 Early Bird + 10 Late' — that is wrong. (2) Teaching-language weighting is reconstructed from the 2026/27 course-offering listing, which shows only the courses actually offered that year (year-3 courses such as Formal Languages and Compilers, Information Security, Computational Mathematics for Data Science and the Italian/German for Computer Scientists course carry no published language tag in that view), so the per-language credit totals are indicative rather than official. The finding that year-1 semester 1 is 100% English is solid: all five semester-1 first-year courses are tagged EN and the admission PDF's mid-January English-B1 clause is written for exactly this situation. (3) Scholarship amounts are not confirmed for 2026/27 — the €1,680-€6,960 range and any merit-average threshold come from secondary summaries, not from a page verified for this programme; the provincial call sets amounts annually. (4) No formal 'conditional admission' regime with an ECTS threshold exists at bachelor level; the master-level ≥120/140 ECTS rule and the 11/12/2026 late-enrolment window in the field schema do not apply here. (5) No separate call/manifesto document was found in English; a Rector's decree may exist only in the Italian albo. (6) No 'study career' Excel template applies to this bachelor programme. (7) The self-declaration form for extracurricular experiences is distributed inside the application portal and has no public standalone URL, so its exact format limits could not be recorded. (8) The €7,002.84 figure sometimes quoted for residence-permit renewal appeared only in a search summary and was not confirmed on a unibz page, so it is excluded from the visa field. (9) Turkish-applicant relevance: Türkiye is a Lisbon Convention signatory, so case (b) recognition applies — this classification is inferred from the convention's membership, not stated by unibz for this programme.
  • Call for applications link note: No separate call for applications / manifesto degli studi document is published for this programme. The role of the official call is played by the programme's admission-information document (https://www.unibz.it/assets/CoursesPDF/bachelor-in-computer-science_admission-information_en_GB.pdf) together with the signed ranking-list decrees, which carry the selection criteria, the Admission Committee signatures (Chair Prof. Alessandro Artale; members Prof. Sergio Tessaris, Prof. Andrea Janes) and the 60-day appeal notice to the Administrative Court of Bolzano. General applicant portal: https://www.unibz.it/en/applicants/studying-at-unibz ; application portal: https://aws.unibz.it/exup/ . [uncertain] — a Rector's decree formally opening the 2026/27 admission procedure may exist in the Italian-language albo/registry but was not located in English.
  • Tuition and fees link note: Total tuition fees are €1,200 per year, in two instalments: 1st instalment €600 (which includes the €16 revenue stamp / marca da bollo) — this is the payment that secures the place after admission; 2nd instalment €600, to be paid by March of the following year. Late payment of the second instalment incurs a fine; unpaid fees block exam-taking and any transfer to another university or study programme. No refund if you drop out, interrupt your studies or are excluded. Exemptions: students with a disability recognised under article 3 paragraph 1 of Law no. 104/1992 or with a disability of 66% or more (certificate from the health authorities to be handed in at the start of the academic year), and foreign students holding an Italian government scholarship. Students awarded a scholarship by the Autonomous Province of Bozen-Bolzano are entitled to a refund of the tuition fees.
