Kampüs

NOI Techpark Bozen-Bolzano (Faculty of Engineering, Bruno-Buozzi-Strasse 1 / via Bruno Buozzi 1, 39100 Bozen-Bolzano). The brochure 'At a Glance' box states: 'Campus: NOI Techpark Bozen-Bolzano.' No Brixen-Bressanone, Bruneck-Brunico, Trento or Innsbruck component. Two of the five tracks move abroad for part of the degree: 'Logistics and Production' spends the 2nd year (one to two semesters) at Otto-von-Guericke-Universitaet Magdeburg, Germany, and 'Smart and Sustainable Production' spends the 2nd year (one to two semesters) at Technische Universitaet Graz, Austria. The first three tracks are 'offered entirely in Bozen-Bolzano'. Teaching facilities named on the programme page include the Smart Mini Factory, the Prototyping Lab / Fablab and the Material Characterization lab, all at NOI Techpark.

Kabul Tipi

restricted access (numerus clausus) + document-based evaluation by an Admission Committee + a conditional oral interview. Fixed places: 40 for EU citizens and persons given parity of treatment (25 Early Bird + 15 Late) and 15 for non-EU citizens living abroad (Early Bird only). There is NO written entrance exam, no TOLC, no CENT-S, no SAT, no GMAT/GRE requirement, no portfolio and no motivation letter. The Admission Committee (2026/27 Early Bird decree: President Prof. Yuri Borgianni, members Prof. Andrea Giusti and Dr. Margherita Molinaro) evaluates the uploaded qualification documents, the mandatory Excel study-career file and the CV. Applicants whose bachelor grade average (final exam excluded) is 24/30 or above are 'automatically considered eligible'; all others are invited to an oral interview. Applicants who express interest in a double degree are additionally placed on a separate, second ranking list (one per partner university) with extra curricular requirements. Verbatim from the ranking decree: 'The general ranking list includes all students who submitted the application for the master. The second ranking list includes only the students who express their interest in attending the Double Degree Program with Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg (OVGU) or the Double Degree Programm with TU Graz through the application portal.'

Resmî Eğitim Dili

Fully English. The admission information states verbatim: 'The official teaching language is English.' The brochure adds that the international outlook 'is guaranteed by being taught entirely in English with teaching staff as well as students coming from Italy, Europe and the entire world.' Empirically confirmed: on the unibz 'Course Offering - Enrolled from 2025' page for academic year 2026/27, all 31 listed course entries across both semesters carry the language code EN - zero Italian-taught and zero German-taught lectures. This is NOT a trilingual programme: there is no second or third language obligation at entry, and the entry requirement is a single language (English B2). Note that the two double-degree tracks physically relocate the student for one to two semesters (OvGU Magdeburg, TU Graz); the unibz brochure lists those partner courses (e.g. 'Logistic strategies and methods (offered at OvGU Magdeburg)') without stating their language of delivery, though both partner tracks are presented as part of an English-taught degree.

AB / AEA adayları

Two sessions for EU citizens and persons given parity of treatment; all cut-offs at 12:00 noon local time. (1) Early Bird Application: 2 Mart 2026 to 28 Nisan 2026. (2) Late Application (EU only): 28 Mayıs 2026 to 20 Ağustos 2026. Original unibz notation, DD/MM/YYYY: '02/03 - 28/04/2026 (by noon local time)' and '28/05 - 20/08/2026 (by noon local time)'. Note the Late window for this master runs six weeks longer than the bachelor's (which closes 08/07/2026). (3) Additional Application Session: NOT offered for this programme in 2026/27. The admission PDF carries the standard boilerplate that 'The Faculty can open additional application sessions for single study programmes in August and in September if there are available places', but the university's Additional Application Session page (18 August - 4 September 2026) does not list the Master in Industrial Mechanical Engineering among the Faculty of Engineering programmes accepting applications - so no third window exists for this cycle. Candidates excluded in the first session may reapply in the second ('If you are excluded in the first session, you might apply again in the second one'). Once submitted, an application cannot be modified, and only correctly sent forms are considered.

AB / AEA dışı adaylar

One single window for non-EU citizens living abroad: 2 Mart 2026 to 28 Nisan 2026, by 12:00 noon local time - i.e. the Early Bird session only. Verbatim: 'Only one application period is offered. After the deadline it is not possible to apply anymore.' Non-EU applicants living abroad are excluded from the Late Application (explicitly 'only for EU citizens') and from any Additional Session. A non-refundable EUR 50 application fee applies to this group. Practical consequence for a Turkish applicant resident in Turkey: 28 Nisan 2026 at noon is the only opportunity in the whole cycle, and the English B2 proof plus the qualification documents and the completed Excel file must all be in the portal by then - which in turn means booking a Language Centre exam on 16 Mart 2026 (recorded as fully booked for 2026/27) or 16 Nisan 2026/17/20/21, or holding a recognised certificate (IELTS / TOEFL / LanguageCert accepted in home edition) issued within the previous five years. The 15 non-EU places make this a realistically winnable session: in 2026/27 exactly 15 non-EU applicants were admitted and 6 more were on the waiting list.

Kabul koşulları

Akademik geçmiş
  • General entry qualification - one of: an Italian bachelor degree (old or new system), a university diploma, or 'Foreign qualification obtained abroad and recognized as suitable'. Curricular requirements, three cases: (1) an Italian bachelor degree in degree class L-9 (Industrial Engineering) ex D.M. 270/2004
  • (2) an Italian bachelor degree in degree class 10 (Industrial Engineering) ex D.M. 509/1999
  • (3) an Italian degree in another degree class (old or new system), a university diploma, or another foreign qualification gained abroad and recognized as suitable. In cases (1) and (2) the applicant must have acquired, per the table of indispensable teaching activities for degree class L-9 (Ministerial Decree no. 1648 of 19 December 2023), 'at least 36 ECTS in the disciplinary areas envisaged among the basic teaching activities and at least 45 ECTS in the disciplinary areas envisaged among the characterizing teaching activities in the Mechanical Engineering field.' In case (3) - which is the route for essentially every foreign applicant, including Turkish holders of a Makine Muhendisligi lisans diploma - 'verification of the curricular requirements is carried out by the Admission Committee by considering appropriate equivalences between the contents and teaching activities attended in the previous career and those corresponding to the Mechanical Engineering disciplinary fields', and the Faculty 'reserves the right to request a description of the contents of the courses and/or teaching hours where necessary.' Additional criterion: 'A further eligibility criterion is sufficient knowledge of and proficiency in further engineering subjects.' No specific 2024-reform SSD codes are imposed on the applicant, but the unibz course catalogue for the programme shows the new codes in use internally (IIND-02/A, IIND-03/A, IIND-03/B, IIND-03/C, IIND-04/A, IIND-05/A, IIND-07/A, IINF-04/A, IEGE-01/A). At enrolment a foreign degree must be documented as at least 180 ECTS and as giving access to a master programme. National rule: simultaneous enrolment in a maximum of 2 programmes is allowed, provided they are not in the same class (e.g. not LM-33/LM-33) and differ in at least 2/3 of the course contents.
Dil yeterliliği

Single-language regime, and by far the lightest at unibz. Verbatim: 'The official teaching language is English. Therefore, the following language requirements apply, otherwise you will be excluded from the admission procedure: Entry level (to gain admission) English: B2. The levels of the Common European Framework of Reference apply.' No German and no Italian is required at admission; no second or third language obligation is published for this programme. Failure to prove English B2 by the application deadline means exclusion from the admission procedure, not a lower rank. Proof is uploaded in the application portal under 'upload language certificates' and/or 'enrol for language exams', after creating an application under 'create/manage applications'. Formal rules: 'In case your final certificate has been awarded by an Italian public institution, you need to submit a self-declaration. In case your final certificate has been awarded by a foreign public institution, you need to upload diploma scanned copy of the original.' Practical note for Turkish applicants: a Turkish-medium bachelor does not satisfy the requirement, so an IELTS 5.5-6.5, TOEFL iBT 72-94, Cambridge B2 First, LanguageCert B2, PTE Academic 43-58 or equivalent recognised certificate (issued within the last five years) is normally the route; a bachelor degree taught in English is accepted as C1 and covers the requirement outright.

Sınav / değerlendirme

No written entrance examination of any kind. There is no unibz admission exam, no TOLC-I, no CENT-S, no SAT, no GMAT and no GRE for this programme - the routes used by the sister Bachelor in Industrial and Mechanical Engineering (unibz test / TOLC-I / CENT-S) do not apply at master level. The only assessment instrument is a conditional oral interview, triggered solely when the bachelor grade average is below 24/30: 'If you have an average grade in the bachelor (not including the final exam) of 24/30 or above, you are automatically considered eligible. Otherwise, you will be invited to an interview to check your suitability for the Master programme.' The interview lasts 15 to 30 minutes, is conducted in English, online. Published interview dates for 2026/27: Early Bird 14 Mayıs 2026; Late Application 28 Ağustos 2026. Assessed topics: fundamentals of mathematics, physics and chemistry; basic rules of technical drawing; design and dimensioning of machines; notions relating to mechanics applied to machines; thermodynamic principles, fluid-dynamic systems and thermal machines; traditional processing technologies and systems; criteria for the design of industrial plants. The only other test an applicant may need to sit is a language proficiency exam at the unibz Language Centre, and only if English B2 cannot be documented otherwise.

Hazırlanacak belgeler

    • At application, uploaded in the Application Portal (https://aws.unibz.it/exup): (a) an account plus a valid ID card or passport scanned front and back - 'if your document is invalid, incomplete or unreadable, you will be excluded from the admission procedure'
    • (b) the qualification - if graduated in Italy, the diploma supplement or a self-declaration under Italian D.P.R. no. 445/2000 listing the degree awarded and exams passed (or exams passed, if not yet graduated); if graduated abroad, the diploma supplement or final degree certificate with exams passed (or transcript of records, if not yet graduated), in Italian, German or English. This must contain: final grade, exams passed with grade and date of passing, credit points, and scientific fields (Italian titles only); for foreign qualifications also 'scale of grades awarded by the university of provenance (with a minimum final grade to obtain the qualification and a maximum final grade achievable)'. The Faculty may request course content descriptions and/or teaching hours
    • (c) the Excel file - MANDATORY structured study-career template downloaded from the portal: 'Applications without a completed excel file will not be considered'

  • 1) Academic year and currency of the data: everything recorded here is the published 2026/27 cycle. As of the verification date (29 Ağustos 2026) that cycle is closed for this programme - both ranking lists are signed and published, the Late Application closed on 20 Ağustos 2026, and no Additional Session is offered for it; the enrolment window runs to 13 Ekim 2026 and the late-enrolment safety valve to 11 Aralık 2026. Figures for 2027/28 are not yet published (the course-offering page already exposes a 2027/28 tab, but no admission data). 2) Additional Application Session: the admission PDF carries the generic sentence that the Faculty 'can open additional application sessions ... if there are available places', which reads as if a third window might exist; the university's own Additional Application Session page for 2026/27 does NOT list this programme, so the generic sentence is boilerplate and should not be quoted to applicants as an opportunity. 3) Ranking-order criterion: no published document explains how admitted applicants are ORDERED within a ranking list, nor is any tie-break rule given (the bachelor's 'youngest person wins' rule does not appear in the master decrees). This matters because the non-EU Early Bird list cut at rank 15 with six candidates below the line. The bachelor grade average is the only plausible ordering variable visible in the documents, but that is an inference, not a stated rule. 4) Exit language level: the admission PDF has no 'Exit level (to graduate)' section at all. The same is true of the Master in Energy Engineering, the other English-taught master of the same faculty, which supports reading the absence as deliberate; but it remains an argument from absence and could change if unibz republishes the language section. 5) Third-language rules: the boilerplate link 'For information on studying in three languages also visit the following page' is reproduced in this monolingual programme's PDF and could mislead a reader into thinking German/Italian obligations apply; no such obligation is stated anywhere for this programme. 6) First intake year: not published. The programme is demonstrably established (legacy pre-2025 curriculum, legacy '/course-offering-2016' slug, published multi-year LM-33 grade statistics, mature double-degree agreements, AlmaLaurea employability data), but Internet Archive coverage of the current URL begins only in 2023 because of a site restructuring, so no exact activation year could be confirmed. 7) Double-degree selection: unibz publishes the curricular thresholds for OvGU and TU Graz but no quota, no scoring and no selection method for the two separate double-degree rankings; the 2026/27 Early Bird decree admitted nobody at all to the OvGU track (rank 1 shown as '/') and only two EU plus two non-EU applicants to the TU Graz track, and the Late Application decree contains no double-degree section - it is not stated whether that means no double-degree admission was possible in the Late session or simply that nobody applied. 8) Language of the double-degree semesters abroad: the unibz documents list the OvGU and TU Graz courses without stating their teaching language, and neither partner's own language requirements are reproduced; 'Partner universities reserve the right to verify students' requirements for admission to Double Degree programmes', so an additional, unpublished partner-side check exists. Visa/residence implications of the second year in Germany or Austria for a non-EU student are not addressed anywhere in the unibz material. 9) Programme regulations: the Regolamento di ammissione and the Regolamento didattico are published only in Italian and German through the records portal, which returned HTTP 403 to automated requests during this verification, so they could not be read. The Italian and German versions of this programme's own admission-information PDF are empty shells containing only the Advisory Service contact block, and the programme web page states 'This page is only available in English'. 10) PDF slug mismatch: the asset slug is 'master-in-industrial-mechanical-engineering' while the page slug is 'master-industrial-mechanical-engineering'; a scraper reusing the page slug receives HTTP 404. 11) Non-EU quota reality: unlike the sister bachelor, the 15 non-EU places here were genuinely filled (15 admitted, 6 waitlisted), so the quota is a real, contestable opportunity rather than a nominal one - but that also means it is the one competitive part of this admission, and the EUR 50 fee plus the single April deadline leave no second chance in the cycle.
  • Programme page link note: https://www.unibz.it/en/faculties/engineering/master-industrial-mechanical-engineering (the page is published in English only - the DE, IT and LLD language toggles resolve to the same English content and the page itself displays the notice 'This page is only available in English'). Five official study-plan sub-pages: https://www.unibz.it/en/faculties/engineering/master-industrial-mechanical-engineering/study-plan-major-computational-mechanical-design , .../study-plan-major-manufacturing-automation , .../study-plan-major-manufacturing-management , .../study-plan-major-logistics-production , .../study-plan-smart-sustainable-production . Course catalogue: .../course-offering (Enrolled from 2025) and .../course-offering-2016 (Enrolled before 2025). Grade statistics: .../grade-statistics-lm-33 . Tracks overview PDF: https://www.unibz.it/assets/Documents/Faculty-Scitech/Master-in-Industrial-Mechanical-Engineering-5-tracks-at-a-glance.pdf
  • Call for applications link note: https://www.unibz.it/en/faculties/engineering/master-industrial-mechanical-engineering - the 'Application and Admission' section of the programme page, mirrored verbatim by the admission-information PDF, is the operative call. unibz publishes no separate English-language call/bando for its master programmes; the binding legal instrument is the signed ranking decree of the Admission Committee (see ranking_list_url), whose opening 'ADMISSION CRITERIA' section reproduces the call conditions and which carries the appeal clause to the Bozen-Bolzano Administrative Court. The underlying Admission Regulations (Regolamento di ammissione / Zulassungsordnung) and the programme's Regolamento didattico are published only in Italian and German through the records portal https://records-unibz.siavcloud.com/regolamenti_en?area=FACULTY%20OF%20ENGINEERING (the portal rejects automated requests with HTTP 403, so its contents could not be inspected during this verification). The Italian- and German-language versions of this programme's admission-information PDF exist as files but are empty shells containing only the Advisory Service contact block. Additional-session rules page (not applicable to this programme in 2026/27): https://www.unibz.it/en/applicants/additional-application-session [uncertain]
  • Tuition and fees link note: Approximately EUR 1,200 per academic year, in two instalments: 1st instalment EUR 600.00 (includes the EUR 16 revenue stamp / marca da bollo), paid to secure the place after the ranking list is published; 2nd instalment EUR 600, due by March of the following year. The brochure 'At a Glance' box states: 'Tuition fees: ca. EUR 1200 per year.' Delayed payment of the second instalment incurs a fine; unpaid fees block exam registration and any transfer to another university or programme. No refund on drop-out, interruption or exclusion - the one exception being non-EU applicants living abroad who do not obtain the documents necessary for enrolment from the Italian authorities in their country. Exemptions: students with a disability recognised under article 3, paragraph 1 of Law No 104/1992 or with a disability of 66% or more (certificate from the health authorities to be handed in at the start of the academic year); foreign students granted a scholarship from the Italian government. Students holding a scholarship from the Autonomous Province of Bozen-Bolzano receive a refund of the tuition fees.
