The admission interview is also physically held in Brixen-Bressanone. Practical note for applicants: the central Advisory Service that handles applications sits at the Bozen-Bolzano campus (Universitätsplatz 1 / piazza Università 1, 39100 Bozen-Bolzano, Tel +39 0471 012100, apply@unibz.it), so application questions and campus life are split across two towns roughly 40 km apart. 24/7 emergency line for the Brixen-Bressanone and Bruneck-Brunico campuses: +39 0472 011777.

Kabul Tipi
Restricted access (numero programmato / limited places) with a merit ranking list, decided by a MANDATORY ORAL ADMISSION INTERVIEW plus documentary scoring. There is no open access. Concretely it is: interview (70 pts) + academic/extracurricular titles (10 pts) + certified third-language level (10 pts) = 90 points maximum. NOT applicable to this programme: TOLC, CENT-S, SAT, any written entrance exam, any portfolio, any motivation letter, any project proposal, any video submission. Three admission sessions exist for EU/parity applicants (Early Bird, Late, Additional); non-EU applicants living abroad get ONE session only. Separate ranking lists are drawn for EU/parity applicants and for non-EU applicants living abroad.
Resmî Eğitim Dili
Trilingual (Italian / German / English). The 'At a glance' box states verbatim: 'Courses will be taught in: Italian, German and English (trilingual)'. The admission-information PDF states: 'The official teaching languages are German, Italian and English.' WEIGHTING (derived by counting the language tag on every core module in the published 2026/27 Course Offering for students 'Enrolled from 2025', which currently covers years 1-2 only, 108 CP of core teaching): ITALIAN 48 CP (~44%) — Introduction to Linguistics, Social Statistics, Sociolinguistics, Sociology of Economic and Work Processes, Media Ecology, Techniques of Visual Communication + Music as Communication (12), Sociology of Culture; ENGLISH 36 CP (~33%) — Marketing and Communication, Cultural Studies, Computer-Mediated Communication, Virtual Communication, Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology of Communication; GERMAN 24 CP (~22%) — Theories of Communication, Language and Media Communication, Anthropology of Intercultural Processes, Principles of Sociology. So the language mix is ITALIAN-DOMINANT, with English a clear second and German the smallest share. This is materially different from the marketing framing of three equal languages. One 12-CP module (Theories of Communication and Cultural Studies) is deliberately split across two languages: Theories of Communication in German, Cultural Studies in English. Third-year modules are not yet listed in the 'Enrolled from 2025' offering, so the full-degree ratio may shift.

Three sessions for EU citizens and citizens given parity of treatment. unibz publishes DD/MM/YYYY
ISO normalisation given in brackets. (1) EARLY BIRD APPLICATION: 02/03 - 28/04/2026 by noon local time [2 Mart 2026 to 28 Nisan 2026, 12:00 CEST]. (2) LATE APPLICATION (EU citizens only): 28/05 - 08/07/2026 by noon local time [28 Mayıs 2026 to 8 Temmuz 2026, 12:00 CEST]. (3) ADDITIONAL APPLICATION SESSION (EU citizens only, opened at the Faculty's discretion when places remain): 18/08 - 04/09/2026 by noon local time [18 Ağustos 2026 to 4 Eylül 2026, 12:00 CEST]. STATUS AT THE VERIFICATION DATE (29 Ağustos 2026): sessions 1 and 2 are closed and their ranking lists are published
SESSION 3 IS OPEN, with six days left to the 04/09/2026 noon cut-off. unibz confirmed on its additional-session page that this programme is included, marked 'Application possible'. The Faculty's own caveat: 'The Faculty can open additional application sessions for single study programmes in August and in September if there are available places' — the Additional Session is never guaranteed in advance for a future intake. Re-application is permitted across sessions: 'You might apply for more than one study programme. If you are excluded in the first session, you might apply again in the second one.' Note also that language-exam registration periods are tied to the first two sessions only, so an Additional Session applicant must already hold acceptable proof of language level.

ONE window only for non-EU citizens living outside Italy: the EARLY BIRD APPLICATION, 02/03 - 28/04/2026 by noon local time [2 Mart 2026 to 28 Nisan 2026, 12:00 CEST]. Verbatim: 'Only one application period is offered. After the deadline it is not possible to apply anymore.' The Late Application and the Additional Application Session are both explicitly restricted to EU citizens, so for a Turkish, or any other non-EU, candidate living abroad the 2026/27 intake CLOSED ON 28/04/2026 and cannot be reopened — the currently open Additional Session (18/08 - 04/09/2026) is not available to them. The associated language-exam windows for this single session were 16/03/2026 and 16-17 and 20-21/04/2026. A €50 non-refundable application fee applies to this group only. The next opportunity for a non-EU applicant living abroad is the 2027/28 Early Bird window, which by the pattern of recent years should open around early March 2027 (dates not yet published). THE ONE EXCEPTION: a non-EU citizen who already holds a qualifying Italian residence permit is treated as an EU applicant and does have access to the Late and Additional sessions — see 'parity_of_treatment'.
2. Kabul koşulları
Akademik geçmiş
One of the following qualifications is required: (a) a secondary school leaving certificate of the Italian system; or (b) an equivalent qualification obtained abroad. Verbatim on equivalence: 'Foreign school leaving certificates are considered equivalent if obtained after 12 years of education. In this case, you furthermore must have attended at least the last two years in the foreign school system (e.g. Irish Leaving Certificate: it is not enough to attend one year and obtain the foreign certificate).' The 12-year rule plus the two-year attendance rule is the operative filter for international applicants — a Turkish lise diploması (12 years) satisfies the duration test provided the last two years were actually attended in that system. Additional national-level constraint: 'The Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research has set specific admission requirements for holders of certain certificates (e.g. American high school diplomas, British and Greek certificates)' — holders of those must contact apply@unibz.it (Advisory Service) before applying, because a bare US high school diploma or a small number of A-Levels is typically insufficient without supplementary evidence. There is NO minimum grade average, NO required subject combination, NO mathematics prerequisite and NO ECTS/SSD requirement (SSD codes are a master-level concept and do not apply to this bachelor). Language requirements are a separate and eliminatory condition: 'To be admitted, you must fulfil the language requirements indicated in the section "Language requirements".' Dual-enrolment: a maximum of 2 programmes simultaneously, not in the same degree class and differing by at least 2/3 of course content.
Dil yeterliliği
This is the make-or-break field for the programme, and the requirement is eliminatory: 'The official teaching languages are German, Italian and English. Therefore, the following language requirements apply, otherwise you will be excluded from the admission procedure.' ENTRY: 1st language B2, 2nd language B2, 3rd language no level required. IN-COURSE: from the second semester of the first year, B1 in the third language is the minimum to sit curricular examinations held in that language. EXIT: 1st language C1, 2nd language C1, 3rd language B2 — the joint-strictest exit profile at unibz. Positions are defined by ability, not by which language it is: 'Your first language is the language in which you have the highest level of proficiency (B2 or C1). Your third language is instead the language in which you are weaker (or in which you are an absolute beginner).' PROOF: mandatory for the 1st and 2nd language, recommended from B1 for the 3rd. Uploaded in the application portal under 'upload language certificates' and/or by registering under 'enrol for language exams', in both cases only after creating an application under 'create/manage applications'. Administrative distinction: a final certificate from an ITALIAN public institution requires a self-declaration; one from a FOREIGN public institution requires an uploaded scanned copy of the original. LANGUAGE CENTRE EXAM RESTRICTION specific to this programme: 'Please note that you can only register for B2 level exams' — B1 exams cannot be booked here, which matters because B2 is exactly the entry bar for the second language. SUPPORT AFTER ADMISSION (third language only): free Language Centre courses, a placement test for those without a third-language certificate, a three-week September intensive course for absolute beginners or anyone below B2, extensive courses of 4 h/week during semesters and intensive courses of 8 h/week between semesters, targeting 'B1 level by the end of the 1st year; B2 level by the end of the 2nd year'. WARNING: 'Beginner courses (A1) will be offered exclusively during the pre-semester intensive course session in September will no longer be offered during the academic year' — an absolute beginner who skips the September intensive has no A1 route later in the year.
Sınav / değerlendirme
NO written entrance examination of any kind. The list of tests that do NOT apply: no unibz written admission exam, no TOLC-I or any other TOLC, no CENT-S, no SAT, no subject test, no logic/aptitude test. The single assessment is an ORAL ADMISSION INTERVIEW (see the 'interview' field), scored out of 70 of the 90 total points. Interview dates by session: Early Bird 13/05/2026; Late 14/07/2026; Additional Session 15/09/2026. The only other examinations connected with admission are the unibz LANGUAGE CENTRE PROFICIENCY EXAMS, which are not selection tests but one of four ways to prove the required language levels — Early Bird: 16/03/2026 (registration 02-09/03/2026) and 16-17 and 20-21/04/2026 (registration 24/03-08/04/2026); Late: 22-26/06/2026 (registration 28/05-15/06/2026). CRITICAL GAP: NO language exam dates are published for the Additional Application Session. Anyone applying in the currently open Additional window (18/08 - 04/09/2026) must therefore already hold recognised certificates or qualify through the school/degree medium-of-instruction routes — there is no unibz exam left to sit. A further restriction applies to the Language Centre route for this programme: 'Please note that you can only register for B2 level exams.'
3. Hazırlanacak belgeler
AT APPLICATION, online via the Application Portal (https://aws.unibz.it/exup/): (1) an account, plus a valid ID card or passport, front and back — 'if your document is invalid, incomplete or unreadable, you will be excluded from the admission procedure'
(2) the completed online form
(3) the attachments listed under 'Admission procedure', i.e. documentation of other academic and/or extracurricular titles relevant to the course (scored up to 10 points)
DATA YEAR: every figure here is for academic year 2026/27. Both source PDFs carry 'Latest update: 30.07.2026' and the explicit disclaimer 'Subject to change'. Verified 29 Ağustos 2026. TIME-SENSITIVITY: this record was captured while the Additional Application Session was still open (closes 04/09/2026 at noon). Almost everything date-related in it expires within weeks, and the Additional Session ranking list due by 18/09/2026 did not yet exist. 2027/28 admission dates and quotas are not yet published; the 2027/28 academic year does already appear in the course-offering catalogue, confirming continuation but nothing about admission terms. DERIVED, NOT QUOTED: the language-weighting percentages in 'teaching_language' are my own tally of the per-module IT/DE/EN tags in the published 2026/27 course offering. unibz nowhere states a weighting. The tally covers only the modules currently listed under 'Enrolled from 2025' (108 CP, essentially years 1-2); third-year modules, the 12 optional credits, the 12-CP internship and the 12-CP final exam are not language-tagged there, so the full-degree ratio could differ. Treat 'Italian-dominant' as a well-evidenced direction, not an exact number. NO PUBLISHED PASS THRESHOLD: unlike several peer programmes, no minimum admission score is published for this degree. The only numeric threshold in the sources is the 12/24 OFA trigger on text comprehension. I have not asserted a cut-off, and none can be reconstructed from the ranking lists, which publish ranks and applicant IDs but never scores. CONDITIONAL ADMISSION is inferred rather than quoted: the PDF never uses the term for this bachelor: it is reconstructed from the 'upload the diploma upon enrolment' instruction and the 'unless you do not pass your secondary school final exam' refund clause. NAMING INCONSISTENCY IN UNIBZ'S OWN COPY: the programme page and brochure describe 'the study programme in Media, Communication and Culture' in two sections while every administrative document says 'Communication Sciences and Culture'. I treat the former as stale marketing text, but a reader comparing sources will notice the clash. FIRST INTAKE YEAR UNKNOWN: the programme is demonstrably old (2019 manifesto, 2020 ranking lists) but no source states when it launched. A study-plan revision took effect for the 2025/26 intake, evidenced by the two parallel course catalogues. SCHOLARSHIP FIGURES: the €1,680-€6,960 provincial grant range and the 27/30 merit threshold come from unibz's general 'Studying at unibz' page rather than a programme document or the provincial authority's own call; amounts are revised annually and should be re-checked against the Ufficio per il diritto allo studio before being quoted to an applicant. NO PROGRAMME-SPECIFIC SCHOLARSHIP was found for this degree — an absence of evidence across the programme page, brochure and faculty pages rather than an explicit statement that none exists. ADDITIONAL-SESSION LANGUAGE EXAMS: no dates are published, which I read as meaning no Language Centre exam is available to Additional Session applicants. unibz does not say this explicitly; it is an inference from the omission, and an applicant relying on it should confirm with the Language Centre. NO GERMAN-ONLY OR ITALIAN-ONLY GAPS: English, Italian and German programme pages and both PDFs were consulted and are consistent, so no information was lost to a missing English version. Two figures were cross-checked in three independent sources each and agree: the quotas (programme page, brochure, admission PDF) and the interview scoring rubric (programme page, brochure, admission PDF).
Programme page link note: https://www.unibz.it/en/faculties/education/bachelor-communication-sciences-culture (English). Italian: https://www.unibz.it/it/faculties/education/bachelor-communication-sciences-culture . German: https://www.unibz.it/de/faculties/education/bachelor-communication-sciences-culture . Study plan: https://www.unibz.it/en/faculties/education/bachelor-communication-sciences-culture/study-plan . Course offering with per-module language of instruction (the only place the real language split is visible): https://www.unibz.it/en/faculties/education/bachelor-communication-sciences-culture/course-offering/ . Application portal: https://aws.unibz.it/exup/
Call for applications link note: No separate call for applications, manifesto degli studi or bando is published in English for this programme for 2026/27, and the programme page links out to no such document — the only PDFs it offers are the admission-information and brochure files. The admission-information PDF therefore functions as the operative call: it carries the quotas, the deadlines, the scoring rubric and the OFA rule. Two adjacent official documents that do exist: (a) the university-wide additional-application-session page, https://www.unibz.it/en/applicants/additional-application-session/ , which is the formal notice opening the third session and lists this programme as 'Application possible'; and (b) the signed ranking-list decrees, which are administrative acts appealable to the Bolzano Administrative Court within 60 days. An older Italian-language manifesto for the programme exists in the unibz archive (Manifesto-22 Şubat 2019-Bachelor-Communication-Sciences-and-Culture-L20-it.pdf, https://www.unibz.it/assets/Documents/Study-Manifestos/2019/Manifesto-22 Şubat 2019-Bachelor-Communication-Sciences-and-Culture-L20-it.pdf ) but it covers 2019 and must not be used for 2026/27 figures. [uncertain]
Tuition and fees link note: Total tuition fees are approximately €1,200 per academic year, in two instalments: 1st instalment €600, which 'includes the revenue stamp of € 16' (marca da bollo) and is the payment that secures an admitted place; 2nd instalment €600, which 'must be paid by March of the following year'. CONSEQUENCES: 'Delayed payment of the second instalment will result in a fine being levied. If you have not paid the tuition fees, you will be unable to take exams and will not be able to transfer to other universities or other study programmes.' NO REFUND if you drop out, interrupt your studies or are excluded. EXEMPTIONS: students with a disability recognised under article 3, paragraph 1 of Law no. 104/1992 or with a disability of 66% or more (the health-authority certificate must be handed in at the beginning of the academic year); and foreign students holding a scholarship from the Italian government. REFUND: 'Students who benefit from a scholarship granted by the Autonomous Province of Bozen-Bolzano are entitled to receive a refund of the tuition fees.' Fees reference pages: https://guide.unibz.it/en/study-career/general-information/fees/ and the programme's own admission-information PDF at https://www.unibz.it/assets/CoursesPDF/bachelor-in-communication-sciences-and-culture_admission-information_en_GB.pdf . For budgeting, note that tuition is by far the smaller cost — unibz itself estimates at least €800/month of living costs in the Bozen-Bolzano area, and this programme is based in Brixen-Bressanone.
