Kampüs

Bozen-Bolzano — the main city-centre campus at Universitätsplatz 1 / piazza Università 1, 39100 Bozen-Bolzano (South Tyrol, northern Italy). The brochure 'At a glance' box states plainly 'Campus: Bozen-Bolzano', with no secondary site named. This is the same building that houses the Advisory Service and the Faculty of Economics and Management Secretariat. Note the contrast with the sister data programme, Master in Computing for Data Science, which is taught at the separate NOI Techpark campus (via Bruno Buozzi 1) — despite this programme also being cross-listed by the Faculty of Engineering, its published campus is the city-centre Bolzano campus only. No teaching is scheduled at Brixen-Bressanone, Bruneck-Brunico, Trento or Innsbruck. Emergency/campus service number for Bozen-Bolzano city centre and NOI Techpark: +39 0471 011011.

Kabul Tipi

RESTRICTED ACCESS (numero programmato) with a purely document-based, points-scored ranking list — no examination of any kind. Concretely: (a) no entrance exam, no TOLC, no CENT-S, no SAT, no GMAT/GRE; (b) no interview; (c) no portfolio, video, project proposal or motivation letter; (d) no admission test on subject knowledge. What decides your place is arithmetic on your transcript: your grade average converted to a 0-88 scale, plus up to 12 points of bonuses, against a minimum of 55 points and against the other applicants in the same session. Language proficiency functions as an eligibility gate, not as a scored test: fail to evidence English B2 by the application deadline and 'you will be excluded from the admission procedure'. Everything is submitted through the online Application Portal (https://aws.unibz.it/exup). An Admission Committee then evaluates and signs a ranking-list decree. Committee for 2026/27 (identical in both sessions): President Prof. F. Marta L. Di Lascio; members Prof. Alessandro Casa and Prof. Davide Ferrari. Appeals against the ranking list may be lodged with the Bozen-Bolzano Administrative Court within 60 days of notification or publication.

Resmî Eğitim Dili

FULLY ENGLISH — 100%, with no Italian or German component and no language-position system. The admission-information PDF and the programme page both state, verbatim: 'The official teaching language is English.' The brochure 'At a glance' box says 'Courses will be taught in: English'. Every course in both tracks is delivered in English, including the thesis. There is no embedded Italian or German course in the study plan, no first/second/third-language structure, and no trilingual requirement of any kind. This is the decisive structural difference from unibz's trilingual bachelor programmes (and from trilingual masters such as Public Policy and Innovative Governance), which demand C1 + B2 on admission and are effectively closed to English-only applicants. The only language obligation attached to this master is a single English entry level of B2.

THREE SEPARATE SESSIONS for EU citizens and citizens given parity of treatment, all closing at 12:00 noon local (Italian) time. Normalised to ISO from unibz's DD/MM/YYYY: (1) EARLY BIRD — opens 2 Mart 2026, closes 28 Nisan 2026 12:00. This is the main and largest session (30 of the 40 EU places) and the ONLY session open to non-EU applicants living abroad, so it is the one an international applicant must plan around. (2) LATE APPLICATION (EU only) — opens 28 Mayıs 2026, closes 8 Temmuz 2026 12:00. (3) ADDITIONAL APPLICATION SESSION (EU only) — opens 18 Ağustos 2026, closes 4 Eylül 2026 12:00; this session exists at the Faculty's discretion, 'The Faculty can open additional application sessions for single study programmes in August and in September if there are available places', and for 2026/27 the Additional Application Session page confirms 'Master in Data Analytics for Economics and Management (Application possible)'. As of the verification date 29 Ağustos 2026 the additional window was still open with about six days left. Two rules that affect strategy: an applicant excluded in the first session may reapply in the second ('If you are excluded in the first session, you might apply again in the second one'), and applicants may apply to more than one study programme. Each session has its own language-exam registration window (see proof_pathways) except the additional session, which offers none. Applications go through the online portal at https://aws.unibz.it/exup; 'Once the application has been sent, it cannot be modified. Filled-in forms which have not been sent correctly will not be taken into consideration.'

ONE WINDOW ONLY: 2 Mart 2026 to 28 Nisan 2026, 12:00 noon local time (the Early Bird session). This applies to non-EU citizens living outside Italy, which is the relevant category for most Turkish applicants. Verbatim: 'Only one application period is offered. After the deadline it is not possible to apply anymore.' There is no late session and no additional session for this group — both the Late Application and the Additional Application Session are explicitly EU-only — so a missed Early Bird deadline means waiting a full year. Ten places are contested in that single window; in 2026/27 forty applicants qualified for them, and the tenth-ranked admit scored 88.03. A non-refundable application fee of €50 applies to this category only. The downstream chain is equally rigid: ranking list by 27 Mayıs 2026, first instalment by 5 Haziran 2026 12:00, then the mandatory Universitaly pre-enrolment and visa application, then enrolment by 13 Ekim 2026 12:00. A non-EU applicant who holds a valid Italian residence permit for work, family, political or humanitarian asylum, or religious reasons is NOT in this category — see parity_of_treatment — and would instead use the EU sessions and pay no application fee.

Kabul koşulları

Akademik geçmiş
  • A THREE-YEAR UNIVERSITY DEGREE PLUS 24 ECTS IN SPECIFIED SUBJECT AREAS. Verbatim: 'a three-year university degree (*) in one of the degree classes pursuant to Italian Ministerial Decree No. 270/04 (or an equivalent Italian qualification from previous degree programmes as well as an equivalent qualification gained abroad and recognised as suitable) and the attainment of the following university credit points (ECTS) in the following subject areas'. (*) footnote: 'Italian citizen who have obtained their degree abroad must also have a secondary school leaving qualification.' At enrolment a foreign degree must be evidenced by a Diploma Supplement showing at least 180 ECTS and that the qualification gives access to a master programme. BLOCK A — at least 12 ECTS in 'Economics' or 'Business Administration', in these Italian scientific-disciplinary sectors (2024-reform code first, pre-reform code in brackets): ECON-01/A Economics (ex SECS-P/01)
  • ECON-02/A Economic policy (ex SECS-P/02)
  • ECON-03/A Public Economics (ex SECS-P/03)
Dil yeterliliği

ENGLISH B2 TO BE ADMITTED — one language, one level, no exceptions, and it is an exclusion gate rather than a scored item. Verbatim: 'The official teaching language is English. Therefore, the following language requirements apply, otherwise you will be excluded from the admission procedure: Entry level (to gain admission) English: B2. The levels of the Common European Framework of Reference apply.' No Italian and no German is required at any level, on entry or during the programme. Demonstrating C1 instead of B2 is optional and is rewarded with 5 ranking points. The proof must be in place BY THE APPLICATION DEADLINE of the session you are applying in — 'The language proficiency requirements for admission must be met by the stated pre-registration deadline' — not by enrolment, and not by the start of classes; this is the most common way otherwise-qualified international applicants lose a place. Evidence is uploaded in the Application Portal under 'upload language certificates' and/or 'enrol for language exams', which only become available after you have created an application under 'create/manage applications'. Formal difference by issuer: 'In case your final certificate has been awarded by an Italian public institution, you need to submit a self-declaration. In case your final certificate has been awarded by a foreign public institution, you need to upload diploma scanned copy of the original.' Certificates that cannot be uploaded may be e-mailed as PDF or delivered in person to the Language Centre by the application deadline.

Sınav / değerlendirme

NONE. There is no entrance examination for this programme in any form — no unibz subject test, no TOLC-E/TOLC-I, no CENT-S, no SAT, no GMAT or GRE (neither required nor rewarded), no mathematics admission test and therefore no OFA mechanism. The admission-information PDF's 'Admission procedure' section lists exactly three scored criteria (grade average, further language proficiency, academic background) and no test. The only examination that can appear anywhere in this process is OPTIONAL and purely linguistic: the unibz Language Centre's computer-based English proficiency exam, which exists solely as a fourth way of evidencing B2 for applicants who cannot document it otherwise. Its 2026/27 sittings were: Early Bird — 16/03/2026 (registration 02-09/03/2026; this date was marked FULLY BOOKED on the Language Centre page) and 16-17 and 20-21/04/2026 (registration 24/03-08/04/2026, with 21/04 as a technical make-up day); Late — 22-26/06/2026 (registration 28/05-15/06/2026, with 26/06 as make-up day). A further date of 27/07/2026 (registration 10-19/07/2026) was offered only to applicants to inter-university programmes. NO language exams are offered for the Additional Application Session at all — applicants in that window must arrive with a certificate already in hand, and unibz specifically recommends LanguageCert, TOEFL or IELTS 'as the results of these exams are generally available within a short period of time'. Rule when sitting the exam: 'It is not possible to take exams at different levels for the same language.' Compensatory measures (extra time, assistive IT) are available to candidates with disabilities who notify Student Support by the exam registration deadline.

  • A SHORT, STRICTLY TRANSCRIPT-CENTRED LIST — five items, one of them a structured spreadsheet. (1) IDENTITY — an account in the Application Portal plus 'a valid ID card or passport (front/back)', with an explicit exclusion: 'if your document is invalid, incomplete or unreadable, you will be excluded from the admission procedure'. (2) QUALIFICATION — 'if graduated in Italy: diploma supplement or self-declaration (following the Italian D.P.R. no. 445/2000) of the degree awarded with the exams passed (if graduated) or with the exams passed (if not graduated yet); if graduated abroad: diploma supplement or final degree certificate with exams passed (if graduated) or transcript of records (if not graduated yet) in Italian, German or English.' The document 'must contain the following information: final grade, exams passed with grade and date of passing, credit points, scientific fields (the latter only for Italian titles). For qualifications obtained abroad, also: scale of grades awarded by the university of provenance (with a minimum final grade to obtain the qualification and a maximum final grade achievable).' That grading-scale requirement is mandatory, not optional, for a Turkish transcript — without it the 88-point conversion cannot be computed and 'The absence of one or more of the documents required for the calculation of the average marks will result in exclusion.' (3) THE EXCEL FILE — mandatory and structured: 'Please download the file available in the application portal. Fill in all information about your bachelor/courses and upload it in the portal as an excel file.' This is the study-career template through which the Faculty maps your courses onto the required subject areas and counts the 24 ECTS; it must be uploaded in Excel format, not as a PDF or scan. (4) DIPLOMA (foreign qualifications) — 'If you gained your qualification abroad, you must also upload the diploma of your qualification: if you are not yet in possession of the diploma, you'll need to upload it upon enrolment.' (5) LANGUAGE EVIDENCE — certificate upload or Language Centre exam registration, per proof_pathways; plus, for parity-of-treatment applicants, a copy of the valid permit to stay. AT ENROLMENT, additionally, for a foreign degree: the bachelor degree diploma; an official translation into Italian (not needed if issued in German or English); a Diploma Supplement stating at least 180 ECTS and that the qualification gives access to a master programme; and the ARDI/CIMEA statements described in credential_recognition. STANDING WARNINGS: 'Mendacious declarations will be criminally prosecuted and will result in the automatic exclusion from the ranking list'; 'Once the application has been sent, it cannot be modified'; and the Faculty 'reserves the right to request a description of the contents of the courses and/or teaching hours where necessary'.

  • WHAT IS SOLID: everything on places, dates, entry requirements, SSD lists, the scoring rubric, the 140-ECTS conditional threshold, fees, language rules and the credential-recognition chain comes from the 2026/27 admission-information PDF (updated 24.08.2026), the 2026/27 brochure, the programme page and the two digitally signed ranking-list decrees, which agree with each other throughout. The competition figures come straight from the signed decrees and are facts, not estimates. WHAT IS UNCERTAIN OR NEEDS A CAVEAT: (1) FIRST INTAKE YEAR. unibz never states when the programme started. The inference of a.y. 2023/24 rests on circumstantial evidence — the earliest Internet Archive capture of the programme page is 30/01/2023, the course-contents document is named and headed for 2023, and unibz promoted the programme on LinkedIn in February 2023. web.archive.org could not be fetched directly to confirm, so this remains an inference. (2) EXIT LANGUAGE LEVEL. The finding of 'no exit language requirement' is derived from silence: the admission-information PDF has an entry-level section and no exit-level section, whereas unibz's trilingual programmes have both. A study regulation published only in Italian or German could in principle say otherwise; confirm with the Faculty Secretariat if it matters. (3) THIRD-LANGUAGE B1. Recorded as not applicable on the same absence-of-evidence basis. (4) NO ENGLISH-LANGUAGE BANDO. The claim that no separate call/manifesto exists cannot be proved exhaustively; an Italian-language administrative act may sit in unibz's Albo online. (5) THE LATE-SESSION OVER-ADMISSION. Twenty EU applicants were admitted in a session with a nominal quota of 10. The explanation offered — early-bird places freed by non-confirming admits rolling over, as the roll-over rule permits — is a reading of the two decrees together, not something unibz states. (6) FACULTY ATTRIBUTION. The programme lives on an Economics and Management URL and is administered by that faculty's secretariat, yet the Faculty of Engineering lists it in its own study-programme menu and the Additional Application Session page lists it under both faculties. The cross-listing is a documented fact; whether unibz formally designates it an inter-faculty degree is not stated in English. (7) ADDITIONAL-SESSION OUTCOME UNKNOWN. As of 29 Ağustos 2026 the third window was still open (closes 04/09/2026 noon) and its ranking list, due by 18/09/2026, did not exist yet — so the final 2026/27 intake size and the additional session's cut-off score are not knowable from this snapshot. (8) DOCUMENT DEFECTS THAT COULD MISLEAD A CAREFUL READER: the Early Bird decree prints 'max. 90 88 points'; the dual-enrolment rule is illustrated with 'LM-63/LM-63' in the admission PDF and 'LM-18/LM-18' in the decrees, neither of which is this programme's class; and the Early Bird ranking-list filename misspells 'Managment'. (9) VOLATILITY. Dates, quotas and cut-off scores change every admission cycle; the 2027/28 figures will differ and the admission PDF is explicitly 'subject to change'. (10) CORRECTION TO THE RESEARCH BRIEF: the working note described the 140-ECTS conditional threshold as this programme's peculiarity against a 120 standard. That is only half right — 140 is the Faculty of Economics and Management's uniform threshold (Accounting and Finance, Entrepreneurship and Innovation and Public Policy all use it); the 120 figure is the Engineering-side norm. The brief also dated LM-Data to 'after 2024'; the class was in fact created by MUR Decree no. 146 of 09/02/2021, with Italian universities enrolling into it from 2022/23.

The Faculty of Engineering's own study-programme menu links to this same Economics URL, confirming the cross-faculty listing. Contacts — Advisory Service: Universitätsplatz 1, 39100 Bozen-Bolzano, +39 0471 012100, apply@unibz.it, open Tuesdays 14:00-16:00 and Thursdays 10:00-12:00 (calls accepted all week, online appointments bookable). Faculty of Economics and Management Secretariat: +39 0471 013000, schoolofeconomics@unibz.it, open Mon/Wed 10:00-12:00, Thu 14:00-16:00, Tue/Fri online only 10:00-12:00. Degree Course Director: Prof. F. Marta L. Di Lascio.
  • Call for applications link note: NO separate call for applications, bando di ammissione or manifesto degli studi is published in English for this programme's 2026/27 intake. The function of an official call is discharged by two document types instead: (a) the programme's admission-information document, which sets out places, deadlines, entry requirements, the scoring rubric and the enrolment chain in full; and (b) the two digitally signed ranking-list decrees, which restate the admission criteria verbatim, carry the Admission Committee's signatures (President Prof. F. Marta L. Di Lascio; members Prof. Alessandro Casa and Prof. Davide Ferrari) and close with the statutory appeal notice: 'An appeal against this administrative act may be lodged with the Bozen-Bolzano Administrative Court within 60 days of its notification or publication.' Both the admission document and the decrees cite an underlying university regulation that is not published in English at a stable public URL — 'Art. 26, Paragraph 2), letter b) of the current admission regulation' (the tie-break provision). Other regulations referenced but not linked in English: the Tuition Fees Regulation, which the Study Guide notes is available in Italian and German only, and the University Council Resolution 16/2026 on recognised language certificates, which IS published trilingually. Related official pages that function as calls for their respective stages: the Additional Application Session page, https://www.unibz.it/en/applicants/additional-application-session/ , and the ranking-lists index, https://www.unibz.it/en/applicants/ranking-lists/ . Flagged as uncertain because the absence of an English-language bando cannot be proven exhaustively and an Italian-language administrative act may exist in unibz's Albo online.
  • Tuition and fees link note: €1,200 per academic year, in two instalments — among the lowest tuition levels of any public university in northern Italy, and identical for EU and non-EU students (unibz applies no international surcharge and does not use ISEE-based fee banding for this figure). Programme page and brochure: 'Tuition fees: ca. € 1200 per year'. Admission-information PDF: 'Fees amount to € 1200 — 1st instalment (€ 600): includes the revenue stamp of € 16. 2nd instalment (€ 600): must be paid by March of the following year.' The university-wide fees regulation (Study Guide, https://guide.unibz.it/en/study-career/general-information/fees/) gives the precise 2026/27 dates and the out-of-duration rates: within normal programme duration, 1st instalment €600 by 13 October 2026 and 2nd instalment €600 by 31 March 2027; beyond normal duration ('fuori corso'), the 1st instalment rises to €900 while the 2nd stays at €600. A €16 revenue stamp is payable by everyone, and a €30 fine applies to late payment. CONSEQUENCES OF NON-PAYMENT: 'If you have not paid the tuition fees, you will be unable to take exams and will not be able to transfer to other universities or other study programmes'; late payment also blocks access to mySNS and to exam registration. NO REFUNDS: 'If you drop out of a programme, interrupt your studies or are excluded from studies, you are not entitled to reimbursement of the fees' — the single exception being non-EU applicants abroad who do not obtain the documents necessary for enrolment from the Italian authorities. EXEMPTIONS: students with a disability recognised under art. 3(1) of Law 104/1992 or with an invalidity of 66% or more (certificate to be filed at the start of the academic year), and foreign students holding an Italian government scholarship — both pay only the €16 stamp. Students holding a scholarship from the Autonomous Province of Bozen-Bolzano are reimbursed the fees, normally in March-April, though 'any fines due to late payment will not be reimbursed'. Budgeting note for a visa file: tuition is the small item — unibz itself tells non-EU applicants to plan on at least €800 per month of living costs on top.
