Kampüs

San Michele all'Adige (province of Trento, Trentino-Alto Adige). Host structure: Center Agriculture Food Environment - C3A (Centro Agricoltura Alimenti Ambiente), a joint centre of the University of Trento and Fondazione Edmund Mach, via Edmund Mach 1, 38010 San Michele all'Adige (TN). The corsi.unitn.it fact box lists 'DEPARTMENT: Center Agriculture, Food, Environment'; the orientation catalogue lists the location as 'Centro Agricoltura Alimenti Ambiente San Michele all'Adige'. The C3A Student Support service also holds a weekly in-person desk at the Mesiano Campus, via Mesiano 77, 38123 Trento (TN), but teaching and the course seat are at San Michele all'Adige. Lessons take place only in person.

Restricted access for non-Europeans / free access with verification of requirements for Europeans and equivalents - the two categories follow completely different procedures. (1) NON-EUROPEANS living outside Italy: a public selection based on qualifications AND a compulsory interview, with entry restricted to 10 reserved places for a.y. 2026/2027, a EUR 30 non-refundable application fee, a single application window closing 4 March 2026 at 12:00 CET, and a EUR 100 enrolment-confirmation fee for admitted candidates. (2) EUROPEANS AND EQUIVALENTS (Italian citizens, EU citizens, Norway/Iceland/Liechtenstein/Switzerland/San Marino/Vatican, and non-EU citizens permanently resident in Italy with a qualifying stay permit): the official page states 'The programme is free access to students with Italian or European citizenship, as well as students with non-European citizenship permanently living residing in Italy' - there is no numerus clausus and no application fee; applicants submit an 'Admission Application' (Richiesta di ammissione) on the UniTrento Apply portal, and the C3A Student Support service verifies the curricular and language requirements. An interview is required in this track ONLY if the applicant holds a bachelor's degree in a class other than L-25/L-26 or a foreign degree deemed eligible. No TOLC, SAT, GMAT/GRE or other standardised entrance test is used in either track. NOTE ON A DISCREPANCY: the English programme fact box on corsi.unitn.it reads 'ACCESS: Programmed', while the orientation catalogue (orienta.unitn.it) reads 'accesso libero, con verifica dei requisiti' (free access with verification of requirements) and the EU admission page explicitly says 'free access'. The most consistent reading is that 'Programmed' refers to the capped non-EU quota; the EU track is genuinely free access.

Resmî Eğitim Dili

Case (1): fully English-taught. The programme page states 'LANGUAGE: English' and 'Taught entirely in English, the course will prepare you for an international job market'; Art. 1.2 of the 2026/27 non-EU admission call reads 'The official language of the course is English'. There is no Italian-language track or percorso inside the degree. IMPORTANT NUANCE: although teaching is entirely in English, a BASIC KNOWLEDGE OF ITALIAN is a formal admission requirement - part of the admission interview is held in Italian for non-native Italian speakers, and candidates judged to have insufficient Italian must add an elective or extra-curricular Italian-language course to their study plan. This does not make the programme bilingual (no taught credits are delivered in Italian), but it is a real Italian-language obligation that most fully English-taught Italian master's degrees do not impose.

A.y. 2026/2027, Europeans and equivalents. No fixed admission-application (Richiesta di ammissione) closing date is published on the official corsi.unitn.it admission page for this track - consistent with it being a free-access programme with rolling verification of requirements; the page only links to the open application 'Admission to Master's degree courses: Agrifood Innovation Management - for Europeans and Equivalents - a.y. 2026/2027' on the UniTrento Apply portal. The officially published dates that do bind this track are: ENROLMENT (immatricolazione) deadline for a.y. 2026/2027: 21 December 2026 ('Enrollment deadline for a.y. 2026/2027: 21 December 2026' / 'Scadenza per l'immatricolazione a.a. 2026/2027: 21 dicembre 2026'); bachelor's degree to be obtained by 31 October 2026; last CLA English make-up test registration window 5 October - 13 November 2026 (written 23 November, oral 4 December 2026); and any missing curricular credits to be acquired via Single Courses before the enrolment deadline. The date of 30 October 2026 given in the research brief as the EU application deadline COULD NOT BE CONFIRMED from any accessible official UniTrento source; it may be a confusion with the 31 October 2026 graduation deadline for Europeans and equivalents. Applicants should read the deadline shown inside the Apply portal application itself, or contact supportostudentic3a@unitn.it.

A.y. 2026/2027, non-Europeans living outside Italy: ONE single call, closing 4 March 2026 at 12:00 noon (CET) - 'The deadlines for submitting the online application is: 4 March 2026 at 12.00 noon (CET)' / 'La scadenza per la candidatura e il 4 marzo 2026 alle ore 12.00 (CET)'. The EUR 30.00 application fee must also be paid by 4 March 2026. There is no second call for non-Europeans. Subsequent deadlines: selection and interviews start only after the call closes; ranking published on the programme admission webpage (no fixed date given in the call); enrolment-confirmation fee of EUR 100 within the deadline stated in or alongside the ranking list; pre-enrolment on Universitaly within 2 weeks of confirmation; bachelor's degree to be obtained by 30 June 2026 (or by 31 October 2026 for non-Europeans graduating from an Italian university with a valid Italian study permit); Italian visa to be obtained no later than 31 October 2026, otherwise admission is forfeited; students must be present in Italy by the start of classes. The 2026/2027 non-EU call was already closed at the time of research (31 August 2026); the next call is expected around December 2026, since the 2026/27 one was published in December 2025.

  • ENGLISH - mandatory, minimum CEFR B2. It can be certified in any of the following ways: (a) an internationally recognised English language certificate among those accepted by the UniTrento University Language Centre (CLA), listed at point 2 of the CLA page 'Accepted certificates for admission to study programs' (https://www.cla.unitn.it/en/node/780); the certificate must not be older than 5 years, and the selection committee may also consider certificates outside these criteria and assess their eligibility
  • (b) having passed a B2 (or higher) English exam at another university, provided all four skills - reading, listening, writing, speaking - were tested
  • (c) a declaration issued by the university that awarded the bachelor's or master's degree proving the degree was taught entirely in English
Sınav / değerlendirme

No written entrance exam and no TOLC/CISIA, SAT, GMAT or GRE test. NON-EUROPEANS: a public selection based on qualifications AND a compulsory oral interview conducted in English, held by a Selection Committee of at least three members drawn from the teaching staff of the Center Agriculture Food Environment and appointed by Rectoral Decree (meetings may be held electronically). The interview aims to ascertain the personal preparation and background of the candidate with respect to the master's learning objectives and is worth up to 30 of the 100 points; candidates are admitted to the interview only if their curriculum evaluation exceeds a threshold of 40 points, and candidates absent from the interview are excluded. The date and time of the interview are announced on the website with at least 3 days' notice. Part of the interview is held in Italian for non-native Italian speakers, in order to verify the basic Italian requirement. The selection process starts only after the call closes on 4 March 2026 at 12:00 CET, and the ranking list of admitted candidates (with scholarship allocation) is published on the programme's admission webpage. EUROPEANS AND EQUIVALENTS: no test; an interview is required only if the applicant holds a degree in a class other than L-25/L-26 or a foreign degree deemed eligible. In that interview, the C3A committee evaluates knowledge of the core and characterising subjects of first-level degrees in classes L-25 and L-26 plus any further competences already acquired; the date and details are communicated by email by the C3A Student Support service. A separate CLA English language test exists only as a make-up route for the B2 language requirement, not as an entrance exam.

    • (2) a copy of the bachelor's degree diploma, if already awarded - students and graduates of an Italian university submit a self-declaration under DPR 445/2000 instead, and UniTrento students/graduates do not upload it at all
    • (3) an academic transcript of records listing courses, credits, marks and GPA (weighted average), including the grading scale (minimum to maximum marks) for degrees not obtained in Italy and the SSD codes for degrees obtained in Italy; candidates who have not yet graduated must also list the courses not yet passed

  • 1) SOURCE ACCESS / WAF: at the time of research (31 August 2026) corsi.unitn.it and www.unitn.it returned HTTP 405 / 403 to direct requests (AWS WAF 'Human Verification' challenge), and offertaformativa.unitn.it and infostudenti.unitn.it returned HTTP 503. All corsi.unitn.it content above - the programme page, both admission pages (EN and IT), the 13-page English call, the binding Italian call, the SSD requirements annex and the 2026-27 manifesto - was read from Internet Archive captures of the official URLs (programme page captured 13 May 2026; EN EU admission page 13 May 2026; IT EU admission page 13 May 2026; non-EU admission page 10 March 2026; call PDFs 10 March 2026; requirements annex 10 March 2026; manifesto 20 May 2026). Figures should be re-verified against the live pages once the WAF allows access. 2) EU APPLICATION DEADLINE NOT PUBLISHED: the brief's date of 30 October 2026 for the EU application could not be confirmed. The official EU admission page publishes no application closing date at all (the track is free access with rolling requirement verification) and states only the enrolment deadline of 21 December 2026; 31 October 2026 appears in the official sources solely as the deadline for OBTAINING the bachelor's degree for Europeans and equivalents. The binding date must be read inside the Apply portal application ValLmAIMT26_EU, which requires a login and therefore could not be inspected. 3) ACCESS-TYPE INCONSISTENCY IN OFFICIAL SOURCES: the English programme fact box on corsi.unitn.it says 'ACCESS: Programmed' while orienta.unitn.it says 'accesso libero, con verifica dei requisiti' and the EU admission page says the programme is 'free access'. The reconciliation adopted here is that the 10-place cap and the competitive selection exist only for non-Europeans living abroad, while Europeans and equivalents face requirement verification without a numerus clausus. A user relying on the fact box alone would wrongly conclude the whole programme is numero programmato. 4) ITALIAN-LANGUAGE REQUIREMENT IN A FULLY ENGLISH PROGRAMME: this is an unusual hybrid. All teaching is in English (confirmed by the 2026-27 manifesto, in which every listed course is delivered in English), yet 'basic knowledge of Italian' is a stated admission requirement and part of the interview is conducted in Italian. Crucially, insufficient Italian does NOT block admission - it triggers an obligation to take an elective or extra-curricular course in Italian during the degree. No CEFR level, certificate or test is specified for Italian, so the assessment is at the committee's discretion. 5) WRONG CONTACT ADDRESSES EMBEDDED IN THE CALL PDF: the link annotations inside both the English and Italian 2026/27 call PDFs still contain the mailto addresses master-st@unitn.it and mastermeteo@unitn.it, which belong to other UniTrento programmes and are template leftovers. The addresses actually printed in the body of the call are stem.admissions.int@unitn.it (non-EU admissions, International Mobility Office - Science and Technology Area) and, for Europeans and equivalents, supportostudentic3a@unitn.it (C3A Student Support). 6) NAME COLLISION - DO NOT CONFUSE WITH 'INNOVATION MANAGEMENT (MAIN)': UniTrento also runs a Master's Degree in Innovation Management (MAIN, class LM-77, Department of Economics and Management jointly with Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna Pisa, 35 places of which 20 reserved for non-Europeans, two calls, GMAT/GRE and reference letters). Its call PDF is named 'admission-call-master-main-26-27.pdf' and surfaces in searches for 'Agrifood Innovation Management'. All figures in this record come from the Agrifood-specific call, not from MAIN. 7) TUITION CAP DIFFERS FROM OTHER UNITRENTO ENGLISH MASTER'S: the non-EU maximum here is EUR 6,000/year with brackets of 1,000 / 2,000 / 4,500, whereas most other UniTrento English-taught master's degrees use EUR 6,500 with brackets of 1,000 / 3,000 / 6,500. The EUR 6,000 figure is stated in both the English and the binding Italian call. 8) NO 2026/27 RANKING FOUND: no published ranking list for the 2026/2027 non-EU selection was retrievable (no Internet Archive capture exists); the 10-seat figure for 2026/27 comes from Art. 1.1 of the call itself and is corroborated by the published 2025/26 ranking. 9) ADMISSION YEAR: 2026/2027 is the most recent published year; the non-EU call closed on 4 March 2026 and the UniTrento Apply portal showed 'No active applications for this type' at the time of research. The 2027/28 call is expected around December 2026, by analogy with the 2026/27 one published in December 2025. 10) ENROLMENT-DEADLINE WORDING DIFFERS BY TRACK: the EU page gives a hard enrolment date (21 December 2026), while the non-EU call and page say enrolment must be completed 'within the deadline communicated by UniTrento Staff' / stated in the call, with the visa hard stop at 31 October 2026.

  • Tuition and fees link note: Non-EU citizens: https://www.unitn.it/en/study/fees-scholarships-accommodation/tuition-fees/non-eu-citizens/masters-degrees-english - maximum EUR 6,000 per academic year for this programme (note: lower than the EUR 6,500 cap used by several other UniTrento English-taught master's degrees). First-year amount set by the admission score: tuition waiver for 90-100/100; EUR 1,000 for 70-89.99; EUR 2,000 for 60-69.99; EUR 4,500 for 50-59.99. Second-year amount set by credits earned by 10 August 2027: fee waiver for >=42 CFU; EUR 1,000 for 36-41; EUR 2,000 for 24-35; EUR 4,500 for 6-23; EUR 6,000 for <6 CFU. EU and equivalent citizens: https://www.unitn.it/en/study/fees-scholarships-accommodation/tuition-fees (income-based, calculated on the ISEE Universita indicator; see also the EU-and-related-countries sub-page). Scholarships (non-Europeans): top-ranked non-European candidates scoring at least 70/100 may be awarded a UniTrento scholarship with full tuition exemption; the number of scholarships and their allocation are announced together with the ranking, no separate application is required, the scholarship is a partial contribution to mobility expenses paid only after arrival in Italy, may be renewed for the second year subject to merit requirements, and is not compatible with MAECI, Universita a colori - Unicolor or Invest your Talent in Italy scholarships. Separate mandatory costs: EUR 30 application fee (non-EU track only) and EUR 100 enrolment-confirmation fee (non-EU track only). Non-European admitted students are entitled to guaranteed on-campus accommodation for a rent.
