- LM-62 R - 'Scienze della politica' (Political sciences). The RAD states 'Classe: LM-62 R - Scienze della politica'; the Department handbook heading reads 'GLOBAL - CORSO DI LAUREA MAGISTRALE IN GLOBAL AFFAIRS: GEOPOLITICS AND SUSTAINABILITY - CLASSE LM-62 SCIENZE DELLA POLITICA'; the University's admission-requirements table for Italian-taught master's degrees lists the course under 'Classe: LM62R'. The trailing 'R' marks the class as re-designed under Ministerial Decree 1649/2023 (the 'riprogettazione' of the degree classes), not a different class. This matches the degree_class_hint 'LM62'.

- TWO DIFFERENT ROUTES, depending on the applicant's category (check at www.unitn.it/en/check-your-category). (A) EUROPEANS AND EQUIVALENTS (EU/EEA citizens, Italian citizens, and non-EU citizens legally resident in Italy): OPEN / FREE ACCESS ('accesso libero', 'The programme is free access to European citizens and equivalents'; the handbook adds 'Il corso e' ad accesso libero per gli studenti con cittadinanza europea e per gli studenti con cittadinanza extraeuropea residenti in Italia'). There is no numero programmato, no ranking and no entrance test on this route: admission is a verification of the curricular and language requirements, plus - only if the bachelor's final grade is below 90/110 - a selection interview with the President of the programme. (B) NON-EUROPEANS RESIDING OUTSIDE ITALY: RESTRICTED ACCESS with a reserved quota of 4 places, awarded through a competitive public selection under the university-wide call 'Bando unico di Ateneo per l'ammissione ai corsi di laurea magistrale in lingua italiana', academic year 2026/2027 (Rectoral Decree 1419/2025 of 16 December 2025, Annex 1). That selection is a dossier evaluation scored out of 100 by a commission appointed by Rectoral Decree, with a possible online interview; eligibility threshold 50/100; one ranking per programme; ties broken in favour of the younger candidate; unassigned non-European places are released to 'Europeans and equivalents' within the limits of the table. Applicants may apply to a maximum of 2 programmes in the same application. NO TOLC, NO SAT, NO GRE/GMAT and no written entrance examination on either route.

- CATEGORY (3) - MIXED 'English and Italian'. This is NOT a fully English-taught programme and it is NOT an English percorso inside an Italian degree: it is a single, genuinely bilingual curriculum. Evidence, in decreasing order of authority: (1) The ministerial course record (RAD, 'Regolamento didattico di ateneo' extract published by UniTrento) states verbatim 'Lingua in cui si tiene il corso: italiano, inglese' and, in the description of the learning outcomes, 'La laurea magistrale offre corsi obbligatori sia in italiano che in lingua inglese che, attraverso una didattica partecipativa, consentono alle/agli studenti di esercitare le loro capacita' di espressione scritta e verbale in piu' lingue' ('the master's degree offers compulsory courses both in Italian and in English which, through participatory teaching, allow students to practise their written and verbal expression skills in several languages'). (2) The official programme page corsi.unitn.it shows in its 'IN SHORT' box 'LANGUAGE: English Italian' and, under 'How you'll learn', 'Courses in Italian and English with a strong intercultural focus'; the learning outcomes include 'communicate effectively in multicultural environments, in Italian and English'. (3) For non-European applicants the programme is admitted ONLY through the 'Bando unico di Ateneo per l'ammissione ai corsi di laurea magistrale IN LINGUA ITALIANA' (single University call for admission to master's degrees TAUGHT IN ITALIAN) - i.e. UniTrento itself administratively classifies it as an Italian-language master's degree - and Italian at CEFR B2 is a hard admission requirement there. (4) Italian B2 is also required on the free-access (European) route for every applicant without Italian citizenship. PRACTICAL LANGUAGE MAP (from the official Department of Sociology and Social Research student handbook 'GUIDA STUDENTI A.A. 2026-2027', which prints the study plan with each course's official title): YEAR 1 - all six compulsory taught courses carry English titles and are delivered in English: Global history: the post-1989 world order (136110, 6 CFU, J. Monnet Chair-COTPA), Global cultures (136111, 6), International political economy (135765, 6), Geopolitics in a global word [sic] (136112, 6), Qualitative research methods (135767, 9), Quantitative research methods (135768, 9); plus 3 CFU of compulsory language skills taken as 'Seminar: Developing academic texts and presentations' (136084, 36 hours, an ENGLISH academic-skills seminar) or as an English C1/C2 exam/certificate. YEAR 2 - the elective groups MIX English-titled and Italian-titled courses: English-titled - Global challenges to democracy (136115), Communication and politics (136114), Environmental sustainability in a globalized world (136117), Communication, Science and Technologies (135287), International sustainable development: methods and project (135947), Sociology of collective action (135298), plus two School of International Studies courses open as free-choice, The Politics of China: Past and Present (155422) and History and International relations of the middle east (155418); Italian-titled - Teoria e pratica della negoziazione nelle Istituzioni (136120), Migrazioni, confini, cittadinanza (136134), Questioni di genere: attori, processi, politiche (136116), Stati e potere globale. Territorio, Confini, Autonomie (136119), L'Africa nelle relazioni internazionali (136133), Transizione sostenibile e territorio (136121), Antropologia dei domini collettivi e dei territori di vita (136096). Counting the English-titled options only, a second-year study plan could arithmetically be assembled entirely in English (1 of 2 in the first elective group, 2 of 4 in the second, 2 of 6 in the third are English-titled), but this could NOT be verified course-by-course against the official syllabi, because the UniTrento/CINECA Course Catalogue - the only official source that publishes each course's 'lingua di erogazione' - is behind an AWS WAF human-verification gate. Note also that the English-language version of corsi.unitn.it TRANSLATES the Italian-taught course titles into English (for example 'Migrazioni, confini, cittadinanza' appears there as 'Migration, borders, citizenship' and 'Teoria e pratica della negoziazione nelle Istituzioni' as 'Theory and practice of negotiation in institutions'), which makes the curriculum look fully English on the English site when it is not. Two further Italian-language elements: the Department's official programme handbook ('Guida SRS') exists in Italian only, and the department's own course index links this programme's site under the Italian path corsi.unitn.it/it/global-affairs-geopolitics-and-sustainability while it links the genuinely English DSRS masters (Data Science, Sociology and Social Research) under /en/.
