Kampüs

Rovereto (Province of Trento) is the primary and official teaching location: Department of Psychology and Cognitive Science (DiPSCo), Corso Bettini 84, 38068 Rovereto (TN) - this is the single 'LOCATION' listed in the course fact box, and both admission pages tell admitted students 'You must be in Rovereto (Province of Trento) for the start of classes'. Because the degree is inter-departmental, part of the teaching is delivered by the Department of Information Engineering and Computer Science (DISI) on the Povo campus in Trento; the UniTrento orientation portal and Infostudenti describe the course as based at 'Dipartimento di Psicologia e Scienze Cognitive (Rovereto)' and 'Dipartimento di Ingegneria e Scienza dell'Informazione (Povo - Trento)'. Students should plan for Rovereto as their base, with some activity in Trento/Povo.

Kabul Tipi

Restricted access / numero programmato ('ACCESS: Programmed'; Italian: 'ad accesso programmato nel limite di 35 posti disponibili'). Admission is by public selection on qualifications and, if the committee requires it, an interview - there is no TOLC, no SAT, no GRE and no written admission test. The Department of Psychology and Cognitive Science announces two separate public selections for the same 2026/27 intake: (1) a first call reserved to Non-Europeans (non-EU citizens living outside Italy), 17 December 2025 to 4 March 2026 at 12:00 CET; (2) a second call for Europeans and Equivalents, 9 February 2026 to 29 May 2026 at 12:00 CET. Article 3.2(c) also provides that, only if places remain after the first two rounds, a third selection reserved to Europeans and Equivalents may open 'starting from mid August'. Applications are submitted on the UniTrento Apply portal (webapps.unitn.it/Apply), logging in with SPID, an Electronic Identity Card, or a UniTrento/guest account; the 2026/27 Europeans application code is MHCI2026EU.

Resmî Eğitim Dili

Fully English. Article 1.3 of the 2026/27 admission call states without qualification that the official language of the course is English (Italian binding text: 'La lingua ufficiale del corso di studio e l'inglese'), and the UniTrento course fact box lists 'LANGUAGE: English'. There is no Italian-taught percorso and no mixed 'English and Italian' track: the whole two-year, 120-ECTS curriculum is delivered in English. No Italian language certificate is required for admission or enrolment; only English at B2 is demanded. Note that the Italian degree title 'Interazione Persona-Macchina' is only the mandatory Italian legal name of the LM-55 degree, not a separate Italian-language track. Teaching is in person only ('Lessons take place only in person').

AB / AEA adayları

Academic year 2026/2027 for Europeans and Equivalents (Italian citizens, EU citizens and equivalents, including non-EU citizens permanently resident in Italy): applications open 9 February 2026 and close 29 May 2026 at 12:00 CET (second call). Related deadlines: Bachelor's degree obtained by 30 September 2026; the 50 ECTS of curricular credits, if not yet held, obtained by 31 July 2026; English B2 certificate submitted to UniTrento by 15 June 2026 at the latest; place confirmation and enrolment within the deadlines communicated by UniTrento staff. Article 3.2(c) of the call allows a third selection reserved to Europeans and Equivalents 'starting from mid August' if places remain; today's date (31 August 2026) falls inside that window, but neither the existence nor the dates of a 2026/27 third round could be verified from an official source, because corsi.unitn.it is behind a WAF and the Apply portal requires authentication.

AB / AEA dışı adaylar

Academic year 2026/2027 for Non-Europeans (non-EU citizens living outside Italy): applications open 17 December 2025 and close 4 March 2026 at 12:00 CET (first call). As of the 1 June 2026 archived snapshot the page already reads 'Application is closed'. Related deadlines: Bachelor's degree obtained by 30 June 2026 for non-Europeans graduating outside Italy; the 50 ECTS of curricular credits, if not yet held, obtained by 31 July 2026; English B2 certificate submitted by 15 June 2026; pre-enrolment on Universitaly within 2 weeks of place confirmation; visa obtained by 20 September 2026; arrival in Italy before 30 September 2026, after which enrolment, stay-permit support and accommodation support become impossible. Non-EU applicants graduating from Italian universities with a valid Italian study residence permit instead follow the Europeans-and-Equivalents track (graduation by 30 September 2026).

Kabul koşulları

Akademik geçmiş
  • DEGREE: a Bachelor's (first-level) or higher degree awarded in Italy, or another qualification obtained abroad and recognised as equivalent. Final-year undergraduates may apply provided they graduate before 30 June 2026 (Non-Europeans) or before 30 September 2026 (Europeans and Equivalents, and non-Europeans graduating from Italian universities with a valid Italian study residence permit). CURRICULAR CREDITS: a minimum of 50 CFU/ECTS in courses belonging to the basic and characterising scientific-disciplinary sectors (SSD) of the Italian Bachelor's degree classes L-20, L-24 and L-31 (Ministerial Decree 19/12/2023 no. 1648), i.e. attributable to Philosophical, Linguistic and Humanistic disciplines
  • Psychological disciplines
  • Engineering and Informatics disciplines
Dil yeterliliği
  • English at CEFR level B2 or higher is mandatory for every applicant, EU and non-EU alike; it is the only language requirement, and no knowledge of Italian is required for admission or enrolment. Proficiency may be proven in any one of the following ways (the binding Italian text lists five routes; the English courtesy translation omits the third): (1) a certificate of English issued by an internationally recognised assessment institution, consistent with the type, duration and validity table published by the University Language Centre (CLA) in its list of certificates accepted for admission to study programmes
  • (2) a transcript of records attesting a passed university exam in GENERAL English at B2 level, with 'B2' appearing in the exam name - the Italian call explicitly rejects subject-specific English exams such as 'scientific English B2' or 'English for tourism B2'
  • (3) a certificate issued by the language centre of the applicant's own home university attesting a passed English exam of at least B2 level, the attestation confirming that the exam included both a written and an oral test (this route appears only in the binding Italian version)
Sınav / değerlendirme
  • No entrance examination: no TOLC, no SAT, no written admission test. Selection is a scored evaluation of the application dossier by a Selection Committee of three members drawn from the teaching staff of the Department of Psychology and Cognitive Science and the Department of Information Engineering and Computer Science (the Committee may meet online). Candidates are scored out of 100 points across three headings: (a) academic background and reference letter - max 50 points
  • (b) statement of purpose in English, self-presentation video/pitch and online interview if required by the Committee - max 20 points
  • (c) relevance of previous studies and experience to the course objectives - max 30 points. A distinctive requirement of this programme is the compulsory ~5-minute self-presentation video/pitch in English, uploaded to YouTube, Vimeo or a similar platform with the URL entered in the application. An interview (in person or via Zoom) is contingent only: 'Applicants might be invited to interview ... only if the selection Committee requires to collect further information on applicants' academic skills and personal competencies.' A score of 50/100 or more makes a candidate suitable; ties are broken in favour of the youngest candidate. Two separate ranking lists (Non-Europeans

    • Uploaded through the online application on the UniTrento Apply portal (webapps.unitn.it/Apply). An official translation is required for any document not produced in English or Italian; illegible documents are disregarded and incomplete or unsubmitted applications are excluded. (a) copy of a valid passport (personal-information pages only) or identity card with photo and personal data - Italian citizens need not upload it
    • (b) copy of the Bachelor's degree certificate, or a certificate of enrolment stating the expected graduation date (Italian students and students enrolled at an Italian university may submit a self-declaration under DPR 445/2000)
    • (c) transcript of records listing all courses, exams and marks awarded, including the list of exams for the qualification to be awarded, the weighted average mark and the minimum-to-maximum range of marks

  • 1) ACCESS LIMITATION: corsi.unitn.it, www.unitn.it and offertaformativa.unitn.it are behind a WAF that returns HTTP 405 (and 503 for infostudenti.unitn.it) to direct fetches; no bot protection was bypassed. All corsi.unitn.it and www.unitn.it content above was therefore read from Internet Archive snapshots: the two admission pages and both call PDFs from 1 June 2026, the programme overview page from 15 April 2026, and the non-EU tuition-fee page from 14 August 2026. Any amendment published on the live site after those dates - in particular between June and today, 31 August 2026 - is not reflected here. orienta.unitn.it was reachable live. 2) THIRD SELECTION ROUND: Art. 3.2(c) of the call allows a third selection reserved to Europeans and Equivalents 'starting from mid August' if places remain after the first two rounds, and Art. 1.1 confirms leftover places are carried into it. Today's date falls inside that window, but neither the existence, nor the dates, nor the number of places of a 2026/27 third round could be verified: the Apply portal entry MHCI2026EU on webapps.unitn.it resolves (HTTP 200) but shows only a SPID/CIE/UniTrento login screen with no status or dates, and the archived admission pages predate mid-August. application_deadline_eu is marked uncertain for this reason; the 29 May 2026 date is firm for the ordinary second call. 3) CAMPUS AMBIGUITY (campus marked uncertain): the course fact box and both admission pages give a single location - DiPSCo, Corso Bettini 84, Rovereto - and instruct admitted students to be in Rovereto for the start of classes. However, the degree is formally inter-departmental (DiPSCo + DISI) and the UniTrento orientation portal and Infostudenti list two sites, DiPSCo in Rovereto and DISI in Povo (Trento). No official source consulted states how the teaching is split between the two sites or whether students must commute between Rovereto and Povo, so the practical day-to-day location for a given semester could not be confirmed. Note the Rovereto address here (Corso Bettini 84) differs from the CIMeC address used by the Cognitive Science master (Corso Bettini 31) - they are different departments in the same street. 4) FEE-TABLE DISCREPANCY IN THE ENGLISH CALL: the English courtesy translation's second-year table (Art. 6.3) prints EUR 4,500 for 6 <= CFU < 24 and EUR 6,000 for CFU < 6, which are the Group A figures used by other UniTrento English-taught masters. Both the binding Italian bando and the official unitn.it Group B fee page give EUR 6,500 and EUR 10,000 for those two brackets. The Italian/website figures are reported above as correct, since the call itself states 'The only binding version is the Italian one'. Applicants relying on the English PDF alone would be misled. 5) LANGUAGE-ROUTE DISCREPANCY: the English translation lists four ways of proving B2 English; the binding Italian text lists five, the extra one being a certificate from the language centre of the applicant's own home university attesting a B2 exam with both written and oral parts. Separately, the corsi.unitn.it admission pages summarise one route as 'a writing statement issued by your university stating that English is the official teaching language of your degree' without repeating the call's restriction that such a degree must have been awarded in the USA, UK, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, South Africa or Canada. The call's country restriction should be treated as governing. 6) BINDING VERSION: the primary English document is explicitly labelled '(English translation) The only binding version is the Italian one'. The Italian bando (14 pages) was retrieved and cross-checked for the degree class, the places/quotas, the language routes and the fee tables; the remaining articles were read in the English translation only, so a further minor divergence cannot be excluded. Note also that the Italian file is named '...-non-eu-26-27.pdf' but is in fact the single binding call covering both categories - the filename is misleading. 7) RANKING LISTS NOT READ: two 2026/27 non-EU ranking-list PDFs exist (March 2026 and a second update in May 2026) but were not retrieved, so the number of scholarships actually awarded and the effective score cut-offs for 2026/27 are not reported. No EU ranking list was linked on the archived EU page. 8) NO MIXED-LANGUAGE AMBIGUITY: despite the dual Italian/English degree title 'Human-Computer Interaction - Interazione Persona-Macchina', this LM-55 has no Italian-taught percorso; Art. 1.3 of the call and the course fact box agree the course language is English only. The Italian name is the legally required Italian designation of the degree. 9) NO ENTRANCE TEST: readers should not expect a TOLC, SAT or written exam. The numero programmato character comes from the 35 capped places and the scored dossier evaluation. The compulsory five-minute self-presentation video is the distinguishing element of this programme's application and is scored inside the 20-point 'statement of purpose / video / interview' heading. 10) 2025/26 DATA CONTAMINATION RISK: a 2025/26 call PDF (call-for-admission-ms-mhci-en-25-26.pdf) is still indexed by search engines and contains the older deadlines (19 December 2024 - 6 March 2025 and 10 February - 30 May 2025) and the same 35-place figure; all figures above come from the 2026/27 documents only. 11) THIRD-PARTY AGGREGATORS: Mastersportal, educations.com and similar sites were seen in search results but were not used as sources for any field, in line with the official-sources-only scope.

AMOUNTS (Art. 6-8 of the call): maximum tuition for Non-Europeans is EUR 10,000 per academic year. First-year fee is reduced by admission score - full tuition waiver for 90-100/100, EUR 1,000 for 70-89.9/100, EUR 3,000 for 60-69.9/100, EUR 6,500 for 50-59.9/100. Second-year fee depends on credits earned by 10 August (i.e. within the June-July exam session): exemption at 42 or more CFU, EUR 1,000 for 36-41, EUR 3,000 for 24-35, EUR 6,500 for 6-23, EUR 10,000 below 6 CFU (figures per the binding Italian bando and the unitn.it Group B table; the English courtesy translation misprints the last two brackets as EUR 4,500 and EUR 6,000). Beyond the standard duration, fees follow the credits earned by 10 August of the last year of enrolment (84+ credits: exemption for the first extra year only, EUR 1,000 per year thereafter; 72-83: EUR 1,000; 48-71: EUR 3,000; 12-47: EUR 6,500; under 12: EUR 10,000). SCHOLARSHIPS: UniTrento grants scholarships to top-scoring Non-Europeans with an admission score of at least 70/100; the number and allocation are announced with the ranking list, holders are also waived from tuition fees, the scholarship is a partial contribution to mobility expenses paid only after arrival in Italy, may be renewed subject to annual merit requirements and available resources, and is not compatible with Opera Universitaria, MAECI or Invest Your Talent in Italy scholarships. Being in the fee-waiver bracket does not automatically entitle a student to a scholarship. Europeans and Equivalents pay ISEE-based fees and apply separately each year to the dedicated scholarship call.
