This is the address given both on the official programme page ('LOCATION: Polo Tecnologico Rovereto') and in Art. 1 c.4 of the teaching regulations ('Le attivita didattiche si svolgono presso la sede dell'Universita di Trento a Rovereto c/o Polo Meccatronica, via Fortunato Zeni, 8'). Being an inter-university degree with Verona and Modena and Reggio Emilia, part of the teaching staff comes from those universities and students may attend courses offered by the partner universities (Art. 11 of the regulations allows elective courses to be chosen from all consortium universities), but the administrative and main teaching seat is Rovereto. [uncertain - the orienta.unitn.it page for this programme instead states 'Sede: Dipartimento di Ingegneria Industriale, Povo - Trento', which conflicts with the programme page and the regulations; the orienta page also links to the Mechatronics Engineering admission page, so it appears to contain template errors. TWO DIFFERENT REGIMES depending on citizenship/residence: (1) EUROPEANS AND EQUIVALENTS (including non-EU citizens legally resident in Italy with a qualifying stay permit): OPEN / FREE ACCESS with verification of admission requirements ('ACCESS: Free' on the programme page; 'The programme is free access to Europeans and Equivalents: to be admitted, admission requirements must be verified'). There is no numero programmato, no ranking and no competitive selection for this group - an application for requirement verification must nevertheless be submitted online in the May-November window, and the outcome arrives by email within one month. (2) NON-EUROPEAN CITIZENS LIVING OUTSIDE ITALY: RESTRICTED, competitive selection call ('selection call based on academic curriculum and merit') with a reserved quota of 25 places, a single deadline, an application fee, a merit ranking and a 50/100 eligibility threshold. This route is governed by the joint DII call for admission (Annex 17 to the Rectoral Decree) covering the four English-taught DII master's degrees. Fully English. The official programme page states 'LANGUAGE: English' and describes it as 'A fully English-taught programme with students from around the world'. There is no Italian-language percorso and no mixed English/Italian track. Art. 24 c.3 of the teaching regulations requires the final thesis to be written and defended in English. IMPORTANT NUANCE: although teaching is entirely in English, the teaching regulations (Art. 12 h and the notes to the study plan table) impose an ITALIAN language requirement DURING the degree - 'La conoscenza della lingua italiana pari al livello A1-CEFR e richiesta per poter sostenere gli esami del secondo anno di corso' (knowledge of Italian at CEFR A1 level is required in order to sit the second-year examinations); passing this check awards the 3 CFU of 'Altre attivita formative' (other training activities). Italian A1 is therefore NOT an admission requirement but is a progression requirement in the second year.

The corsi.unitn.it admission page states 'When: from May 18 to November 12 2026' and the programme homepage banner confirms 'Application request for 2026/2027 is open until November 12 2026'. All applicants must apply, including students already enrolled at UniTrento and those who already meet all the requirements; the application may be submitted before graduating or before completing the curricular requirements. Outcome: an email within one month of submitting the application (rolling processing, no ranking). Confirmation and payment of the EUR 100.00 confirmation fee: within the deadline communicated by UniTrento staff / stated in the ranking. Pre-enrolment on Universitaly: within 2 weeks from confirmation. Visa: before enrolment - only candidates who obtained the Italian entry visa no later than 31 October 2026 are admitted, otherwise admission lapses. Bachelor's degree graduation: by 30 June 2026 for non-Europeans graduating outside Italy (by 31 October 2026 for non-Europeans graduating in Italy with a valid study stay permit). Arrival in Trento: all international students must arrive by 31 October 2026 and must be present for the start of classes; lessons take place only in person. No entrance examination. There is no TOLC, no SAT and no written admission test. For non-Europeans, selection is entirely document-based (100-point scoring of qualifications); an INTERVIEW is not a standard step and is requested only when the documentation attached to the online application does not allow the Selection Committee to assess the candidature adequately (Art. 4 c.4 of the call). For Europeans and equivalents, admission is by verification of the curricular requirements only; however, Art. 3 c.3 c) of the teaching regulations - echoed on the corsi.unitn.it EU page ('the verification of the adequacy of personal background may also include a test before a committee appointed by the Departmental Council') - allows a personal-preparation TEST before a committee for candidates holding a foreign degree recognised as suitable. Personal preparation is considered adequate without further checks for graduates with a weighted average of at least 23/30. The only other test any applicant may have to sit is the English language test at the CLA, and only for candidates who cannot otherwise document B2 English; and, after enrolment, the Italian A1 test needed to sit second-year examinations.

The task note that the programme is shared with Verona and Modena-Reggio Emilia is correct and officially documented: Art. 1 c.2 of the teaching regulations describes the programme as 'interateneo Universita di Trento, Universita di Verona ed Universita di Modena e Reggio Emilia', with the DII of the University of Trento as the reference teaching structure, and Art. 1 c.3 establishes a joint Collegio Didattico under a Convention signed by the three universities. The orienta.unitn.it page repeats this. However, the official pages do NOT state whether the final award is a single joint degree certificate issued by the three universities or a UniTrento degree with partner involvement; the admission procedure, the fees, the calls, the ranking and the enrolment are all handled exclusively by the University of Trento, and no separate Verona or Modena admission route was found. Applicants should assume they apply to and enrol at UniTrento only. Note also that Art. 11 of the regulations lets students choose elective courses from the offer of all consortium universities, so some teaching may physically take place at partner sites. 2) TWO DIFFERENT ACCESS REGIMES - EASY TO MISREAD. The programme page label 'ACCESS: Free' applies ONLY to Europeans and equivalents. Non-European citizens living outside Italy face a genuinely competitive, capped procedure (25 places, 100-point scoring, 50/100 threshold, published ranking). In 2026/2027, 24 of 42 applicants were declared not eligible and 3 more scored below the threshold, so the practical selectivity for non-EU applicants is high even though the quota was not filled. 3) ENGLISH COURTESY TRANSLATION CONTAINS ERRORS. (a) Art. 4 c.3 of the English PDF says the Selection Committee is drawn from 'the Department of Information Engineering and Computer Science (DISI)'; the binding Italian says 'almeno 3 docenti del Dipartimento di Ingegneria Industriale' (DII). The Italian prevails. (b) The English Art. 2 adds that a foreign qualification must be 'in the fieled [sic] of Information Engineering and Computer Science', whereas the Italian simply requires 'titolo di laurea conseguito all'estero riconosciuto idoneo' assessed against the programme regulations - the English wording appears copied from a DISI call and is narrower than the binding text. (c) The English Art. 7 c.1 Italian counterpart contains a typo: 'euro 6.000,00 (diecimila)' - the figure 6,000 is correct, the spelled-out 'diecimila' (ten thousand) is a leftover from another call. These points are flagged in the relevant fields. 4) TEACHING REGULATIONS VERSION. The only Programme Regulations published on the official documents page are the 2024 ones (Rectoral Decree n. 863 of 23 July 2024, applicable from a.y. 2024/2025). The 2026/2027 educational-offer sheet, however, is headed 'Didactic Regulation 2024 & 2026' and was approved by the Department Board on 18 February 2026, which implies that a 2026 version of the regulations exists but has not been posted on the programme's document page. The curricular requirements reported here are therefore those of the 2024 regulations, and they are consistent with what the live corsi.unitn.it admission page currently publishes (75 ECTS / 24+15+36 thresholds), so the risk of divergence is low but not zero. [uncertain] 5) CURRICULA FOR 2026/2027. The programme page still advertises two curricula - 'Digital Healthcare' and 'Emerging and Sustainable Medical Technologies'. But on the documents page only ONE educational-offer sheet exists for 2026/2027 (filename 'digital-healthcare-26-27'), while 2024/2025 and 2025/2026 each have two. The 2026/2027 sheet in fact contains a single unified 120-ECTS study plan with two elective slots (12a and 12b) offering courses drawn from both former curricula. It is therefore unclear whether the two curricula are still formally separate in 2026/2027 or have been merged into one plan with elective tracks. [uncertain] 6) CAMPUS DISCREPANCY. The programme page and the teaching regulations both place teaching at Rovereto (Polo Tecnologico / Polo Meccatronica, via Fortunato Zeni 8). The orienta.unitn.it page for this same programme states 'Sede: Dipartimento di Ingegneria Industriale, Povo - Trento' and links its 'verifica dei requisiti' to the MECHATRONICS Engineering admission page - both look like template errors on the orientation site. Rovereto is reported as the campus. Note the DII department itself is headquartered in Trento (Povo/Mesiano), which may explain the confusion. 7) ITALIAN LANGUAGE OBLIGATION IS OFTEN OVERLOOKED. Although this is a fully English-taught degree with no Italian requirement at admission, non-Italian-speaking students cannot sit SECOND-YEAR examinations until they demonstrate Italian at CEFR A1 (worth the 3 CFU of 'other activities'). This is stated only in the teaching regulations, not on the admission webpages, and is a real progression condition for international students. 8) EU ROUTE - NO PUBLISHED APPLICATION FEE OR RANKING. The Europeans-and-equivalents page states no application fee, no seat cap and no ranking; the outcome is an individual email within one month. No official page was found confirming the exact EU/ISEE-based tuition band for this specific programme; the general UniTrento EU tuition rules apply and only the general fee pages are linked here. Third-party aggregators quote an EUR 340-3,400 EU range, but that figure comes from the retired offertaformativa.unitn.it site and from commercial portals and was not used. 9) SHARED CALL. The non-EU admission call is not programme-specific: it is Annex 17 to the Rectoral Decree and covers all four English-taught DII master's degrees (Management and Industrial Systems Engineering LM-31 R, Materials Engineering LM-53 R, Mechatronics Engineering LM-33 R, Bioengineering for Personalized Medicine LM-21 R). Candidates may apply to more than one, but must submit and pay for a separate application for each. Unlike the other three programmes, the 25 places for Bioengineering for Personalized Medicine include no EIT-programme reservations. 10) WAF/ACCESS LIMITATION. corsi.unitn.it, www.unitn.it and orienta.unitn.it sit behind an AWS WAF that returns HTTP 405 on direct fetches; the CAPTCHA was deliberately not bypassed. The non-EU session for a.y. 2026/2027 is closed (deadline 4 March 2026, ranking published 13 May 2026). The EU/equivalents window is still OPEN until 12 November 2026. Applicants targeting a.y. 2027/2028 should expect an equivalent non-EU DII call to be published around December 2026 with a deadline in early March 2027.
