Kampüs

Trento. Teaching takes place at the Department - Faculty of Law, Via Verdi 53, 38122 Trento (Trento city-centre campus).

Derece Sınıfı

L-14

Kabul Tipi

Restricted access - 'accesso programmato locale' (locally capped admission). Admission is NOT via a national TOLC or SAT: candidates must pass an admission test organised directly by the University of Trento, with separate procedures/quotas for EU-equivalent candidates and for non-EU candidates residing abroad. Ranking-list based selection.

Resmî Eğitim Dili

Fully English-taught (category 1). The Bachelor's Degree in Comparative, European and International Legal Studies is delivered entirely in English by the Faculty of Law of the University of Trento; it is not an English 'percorso' inside an Italian-language degree and it is not a mixed English/Italian programme. AlmaLaurea's official degree record for this course also lists the teaching language as English. No Italian-language proficiency is required for admission, although optional Italian language courses are available through the University Language Centre (CLA).

AB / AEA adayları

Academic year 2026/2027 - two sessions for EU candidates and non-EU candidates permanently resident in Italy: First session - application by 6 March 2026, admission test (online) on 23 March 2026. Second session - application by 4 May 2026, admission test (on campus at UniTrento) on 14 May 2026. Confirmation of the educational qualification is due from 6 to 17 July 2026 (by 12:00 noon on 17 July 2026).

AB / AEA dışı adaylar

Academic year 2026/2027 - non-EU candidates residing abroad: application by 6 March 2026, admission test held online on 23 March 2026. Only this single (first) session applies to the reserved non-EU-abroad quota; the May second session is for EU candidates and non-EU candidates permanently resident in Italy. Successful non-EU candidates must then complete Universitaly pre-enrolment and apply for a study visa at the competent Italian diplomatic mission.

Kabul koşulları

Akademik geçmiş

A valid upper-secondary school leaving certificate (high-school diploma) or an equivalent qualification obtained abroad is required; a foreign qualification must have been awarded after at least 12 years of schooling. No prior legal studies, subject-specific curriculum or minimum GPA threshold is imposed - candidates are ranked solely on the score obtained in the UniTrento admission test. Places: the programme is offered to 75 highly qualified applicants, of which a quota of 10 places is reserved for non-EU citizens residing abroad (this 75/10 figure is published on the official CEILS programme pages and has been stable across recent academic years, but the 2026/27 admission call PDF itself could not be opened directly to re-verify the numbers for that specific year - see uncertainty_notes). For non-EU candidates residing abroad, scholarships may be awarded to particularly deserving candidates on the basis of their admission-test score. Non-EU candidates residing abroad must additionally complete the Universitaly pre-enrolment procedure and obtain a study visa. Enrolment for holders of a foreign qualification is finalised only upon delivery of a CIMEA Statement of Comparability and Verification of the final qualification, or alternatively a Declaration of Value (Dichiarazione di Valore) issued by the competent Italian diplomatic representation.

Dil yeterliliği

English: a certified B2 level (CEFR) is the minimum requirement to attend the CEILS programme. The language requirement is verified once the student is enrolled; if the requirement is not met at the moment of enrolment, the student must make it up before the first examination sitting by producing an international certificate recognised by the University Language Centre (CLA) or by passing the CLA placement/assessment. Graduation requirement: students must reach a proficient C1 level in English during the course of the bachelor - C1 English or higher corresponds to 6 ECTS credits in the study plan. Italian: no Italian-language requirement for admission or graduation (the degree is fully English-taught); Italian courses are offered on an optional basis. Foreign-language study of a second language is part of the curriculum but does not affect admission.

Sınav / değerlendirme

UniTrento's own local admission test (not TOLC, not SAT). The test is administered in English and is computer-based. Structure reported on the official CEILS admission pages: 60 multiple-choice questions in 60 minutes. Content areas: reading and text comprehension; general culture with political and institutional knowledge from an international perspective; logical reasoning; basic information-technology skills. Sample tests and practice tests from previous years are published by UniTrento to help candidates prepare. Delivery mode for 2026/27: online (remotely proctored) for the 23 March 2026 session, including for non-EU candidates residing abroad; on campus at UniTrento for the second session on 14 May 2026. In some editions non-EU candidates abroad have been assessed by means of an interview conducted over an internet-based communication system as an alternative to the written test. Room allocation for on-campus sittings is published on the UniTrento website at least three days before the test date and constitutes official notice to candidates (no personal communication is sent). Admission is by ranking list based on the test score.

Hazırlanacak belgeler

    • Based on the official UniTrento admission process pages and the CEILS admission call (the 2026/27 PDF could not be opened directly - see uncertainty_notes), the application requires: (1) registration and authentication on the UniTrento application portal (webapps.unitn.it/Apply) via SPID, CIE (Italian Electronic ID Card) or a UniTrento account, and selection of the CEILS degree course in the correct EU / non-EU procedure
    • (2) an electronic copy (scanned PDF or JPG) of the upper-secondary school leaving diploma, obtained after at least 12 years of schooling - if the diploma has not yet been awarded, a self-declaration/school certificate of expected completion
    • (3) academic transcript of upper-secondary studies

  • ACCESS LIMITATION (primary caveat): corsi.unitn.it, www.unitn.it, international.unitn.it, infostudenti.unitn.it, offertaformativa.unitn.it and webmagazine.unitn.it are all behind an AWS WAF that returned HTTP 405/403 to direct fetches and served an explicit 'Human Verification' bot-detection challenge in a real browser session. That challenge was NOT bypassed. Consequently the authoritative 2026/27 admission call PDF (call-admission-comparative-euro-int-legal-studies-26-27_eng.pdf) could not be read directly, and all facts sourced from corsi.unitn.it were reconstructed from search-engine result previews of those official pages. Two UNITN properties WERE reachable directly and were used as primary verification: www.giurisprudenza.unitn.it (Faculty of Law - academic calendar confirmed, including the 2026-2027 calendar) and webapps.unitn.it/Apply (application portal reachable, listing 'Degree courses in English' and 'Ammissione' application procedures). AlmaLaurea (www2.almalaurea.it) was fetched directly and independently confirms degree class L-14, English teaching language and 'accesso programmato locale' status. | FIELD-LEVEL UNCERTAINTY: (1) The 75 total places / 10 non-EU-abroad reserved places figure is consistently reported for CEILS but could not be re-verified inside the 2026/27 call PDF specifically - it may have been adjusted for that year. (2) The required-documents list is assembled from the general UniTrento admission-process pages plus prior-year CEILS calls rather than read verbatim from the 2026/27 call; the exact 2026/27 list should be confirmed against the PDF. (3) The '60 questions in 60 minutes' test structure comes from a search-preview of the official admission page and was not confirmed in the call PDF; earlier CEILS editions have also described non-EU-abroad assessment by online interview rather than written test, so the exact 2026/27 delivery mode for the non-EU quota carries residual doubt. (4) Ranking-list publication dates and the final enrolment/matriculation deadline for 2026/27 could not be established beyond the 6-17 July 2026 qualification-confirmation window. | NO OTHER AMBIGUITY: teaching language is unambiguously fully English (no mixed English/Italian percorso), there is no interateneo or double-degree partnership affecting the admission route for the base CEILS bachelor, and the campus is unambiguously Trento (Via Verdi 53). The programme does not use TOLC or SAT despite other UNITN humanities-area programmes doing so - one UNITN webmagazine headline groups 'TOLC tests in the humanities area, CEILS and Modern languages' together, which could mislead a reader, but the CEILS admission route is UniTrento's own local test.
