Kampüs

Trento - Povo campus. Department of Industrial Engineering (Dipartimento di Ingegneria Industriale, DII), Via Sommarive 9, 38123 Trento (Povo), Italy.

Derece Sınıfı

LM-53

Kabul Tipi

Two distinct procedures. (1) EU citizens and equivalents (including non-EU citizens legally resident in Italy): open / free access ('accesso libero') with verification of admission requirements - there is no numero programmato, no TOLC and no ranking-based selection. Applicants submit an online 'Request for admission' in rolling sessions and are admitted once curricular requirements and personal preparation are verified; the Selection Committee may call an interview only if it needs further information on academic skills and personal competencies. (2) Non-EU citizens resident outside Italy: restricted access through a public selection call ('Call for admission for non-European citizens to the Master's Degrees of the Department of Industrial Engineering 2026/2027'), a merit-based selection on qualifications with a fixed quota of reserved places and a single early deadline, producing a published ranking list.

Resmî Eğitim Dili

Fully English. The programme is delivered entirely in English ('Programme language: English'); there is no parallel Italian percorso and no mixed English/Italian delivery. English at CEFR B2 is an admission requirement for all applicants. Note: this programme replaced the earlier UniTrento master 'Materials and Production Engineering', and it must not be confused with any programme named 'Materials Science and Technology', which does not exist at UniTrento.

AB / AEA adayları

Academic year 2026/2027: rolling admission sessions from June 2026 for EU citizens, equivalents and non-EU citizens regularly living in Italy; the online 'Request for admission' for 2026/2027 is open until 12 November 2026. Enrolment deadline for Europeans and equivalents (and for non-Europeans graduating in Italy with a valid study permit) is 31 October 2026; one indexed page for this programme instead states an enrolment deadline of 21 December 2026 for a.y. 2026/2027, and the two figures could not be reconciled from indexed content alone. Individual intermediate session cut-off dates are published in the departmental admission call.

AB / AEA dışı adaylar

Academic year 2026/2027: 4 March 2026 is the application deadline for non-European citizens living outside Italy (single early public selection call of the Department of Industrial Engineering). The ranking list of admitted candidates and the scholarship assignments are published by 20 May 2026. Admitted candidates then pay the EUR 100.00 enrolment confirmation fee by the date given in the ranking list, pre-enrol on Universitaly and apply for a study visa; enrolment is completed over the summer and no later than 31 October 2026, with arrival in Trento before the start of classes (around end of September 2026). Whether a supplementary second non-EU session was opened later in spring 2026 (as happened for some other UniTrento masters) could not be confirmed.

Kabul koşulları

Akademik geçmiş
  • Degree requirement: a Bachelor's degree (first-cycle degree) of at least three years in Industrial Engineering or a related field - explicitly 'any discipline of Industrial Engineering, such as Mechanical, Mechatronics, Chemical, Materials Engineering or any Industrial Engineering-related field awarded by any internationally recognized university' - with a study plan proving basic knowledge and competencies in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Industrial Engineering. Curricular requirements by applicant type: (a) holders of a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, class L-9, from the University of Trento automatically satisfy the curricular requirements
  • (b) holders of an Italian Bachelor's degree in a class other than L-9 must hold a minimum number of ECTS in the scientific-disciplinary sectors (SSD) listed in Article 2, Table A of the Programme Regulations - specifically 30 CFU/ECTS across MAT/03, MAT/05, MAT/06, MAT/07, MAT/08, FIS/01, FIS/02, FIS/03, CHIM/03, CHIM/07, plus 24 CFU/ECTS across ING-IND/16, ING-IND/21, ING-IND/22, ING-IND/23, ING-IND/24, ING-IND/25, ING-IND/26, ING-IND/27
  • (c) holders of a degree obtained outside Italy have their curricular requirements assessed by a Committee appointed by the Departmental Council, on the basis of equivalences between the content of previous courses and the disciplinary fields in Article 2, Table A of the Academic Regulations. Expected entry knowledge covers basic concepts of solid mechanics, physics, chemistry and materials science; a self-assessment form is published to let candidates check the entry requirements. Applicants missing some curricular ECTS may enrol in 'Single Courses for Master's Degrees' and pass the corresponding exams by the registration deadline in order to become eligible. Personal preparation: verified by the Selection Committee, which may summon the candidate to an interview (in person or by conference call) only where further information is needed. Non-EU quota: a fixed maximum number of places is reserved for non-European applicants resident abroad in the departmental public selection; indexed content for the 2025/2026 edition indicates 25 reserved places, and the exact 2026/2027 figure could not be read directly . No minimum GPA threshold is published for the EU/equivalents route; the non-EU route is score-ranked, with scholarships assigned on admission score. Programme length: 2 years, 120 ECTS.
Dil yeterliliği
  • English at CEFR level B2 or higher is mandatory for every applicant (EU and non-EU alike). Accepted proofs: (a) a language certificate recognised by the University of Trento (the standard UniTrento list, e.g. IELTS, TOEFL, Cambridge, TOEIC)
  • (b) having passed a university exam certifying English at B2 level within the Bachelor's degree programme
  • (c) documentation that the previous degree programme was taught and delivered in English (statement from the awarding university or graduation in an English-speaking country)
Sınav / değerlendirme

No TOLC, no SAT and no written entrance examination. For EU citizens and equivalents admission is by verification of curricular requirements and personal preparation on the basis of the submitted academic record; an interview (in person or via conference call) is held only if the Selection Committee requires further information on the candidate's academic skills and personal competencies. For non-EU citizens resident abroad, selection is a merit-based evaluation of qualifications (Bachelor's degree and marks, curriculum vitae, English proficiency) within the departmental public selection call, producing a ranking list; an interview may be held where the committee deems it appropriate . A separate English test at the Centro Linguistico di Ateneo (CLA) applies only to candidates who cannot otherwise document English at B2. Note that the TOLC-based admission call 'call-admission-dicam-dii-26-27_eng.pdf' covers the DICAM/DII Bachelor's programmes and does NOT apply to this Master's degree.

Hazırlanacak belgeler

  • Non-EU public selection (submitted online through the UniTrento Apply portal, webapps.unitn.it/Apply): copy of a valid identity document - a valid passport for non-EU citizens; curriculum vitae et studiorum; copy of the Bachelor's degree certificate if already awarded (in English or Italian, otherwise an official translation), or a certificate of enrolment stating the expected graduation date if not yet graduated; copy of the official transcript of academic records listing courses, credits, marks awarded and GPA/weighted average, with the grading scale (mandatory for non-Italian degrees); proof of English at B2 level (certificate, university exam or university statement); payment of the non-refundable application fee of EUR 30.00 by the application deadline - failure to pay by the deadline leads to automatic exclusion. Applicants are advised to create the Apply account at least three working days before the admission deadline. Admitted non-EU candidates must additionally pay an enrolment confirmation fee of EUR 100.00 by the date published in the ranking list, then pre-enrol on Universitaly at the Italian diplomatic mission in their country and obtain a study visa. EU citizens and equivalents: online 'Request for admission' form; applicants who did not obtain their first-cycle degree at the University of Trento attach a self-declaration of examinations taken (with credits and SSD sectors) plus degree certificate/transcript; proof of English B2. A motivation letter and reference letters are not listed as mandatory in the indexed material.

  • 1) ACCESS LIMITATION (primary caveat): corsi.unitn.it, www.unitn.it, international.unitn.it and offertaformativa.unitn.it are all behind a WAF/bot-protection layer. Direct fetches returned HTTP 405 (corsi.unitn.it, including every /sites/cds/files/*.pdf path), HTTP 403 (www.unitn.it) and HTTP 503 (offertaformativa.unitn.it); a real browser was served an interstitial 'Human Verification' bot-detection challenge, which was deliberately NOT bypassed. web.archive.org was unreachable from this environment. Every corsi.unitn.it and offertaformativa.unitn.it detail above was therefore reconstructed from search-engine indexed page content, not read first-hand from the live pages, so exact wording and any post-publication amendment could not be verified. Only www.dii.unitn.it and webapps.unitn.it (the Apply portal) were directly reachable; the Apply portal home page showed no open application window for this call type at the time of checking, so live dates could not be cross-checked there. 2) NON-EU CALL PDF URL: the existence, title and file sizes of the 2026/2027 non-EU Department of Industrial Engineering call (EN 252.94 KB / IT 322.25 KB) are confirmed from the indexed 'Program guide and documents' page, but the direct file URL under https://corsi.unitn.it/sites/cds/files/ could not be resolved - the naming convention used by sibling 2026/27 calls (e.g. admission-call-master-env-engineering-26-27.pdf, admission-call-master-data-science-26-27.pdf, all under /2025-12/) suggests a similar path, but no candidate could be verified because the host returns 405 for every path. 3) NON-EU QUOTA: the number of places reserved for non-European applicants is set in the departmental call. Indexed content points to 25 reserved places for the 2025/2026 edition; the 2026/2027 figure was not directly readable. Numbers surfaced by search summarisers for sibling programmes were visibly inconsistent and were not relied on. 4) EU ENROLMENT DEADLINE CONFLICT: indexed content gives both '31 October 2026' (the university-wide enrolment deadline for Europeans/equivalents and for non-Europeans graduating in Italy with a valid study permit) and '21 December 2026' (stated on this programme's own EU admission page as 'the enrollment deadline for a.y. 2026/2027'). These may be two different milestones (standard enrolment vs. late/extended enrolment) but the distinction could not be confirmed. 5) NON-EU SECOND SESSION: only one non-EU deadline (4 March 2026) was found. Some other UniTrento masters published a supplementary spring call for 2026/27 (e.g. a MISS call dated 2026-04), so a second Industrial Engineering session cannot be excluded. 6) CURRICULAR ECTS TABLE: the specific SSD list and the 30 CFU + 24 CFU split come from indexed content of the Programme Regulations (Regolamento didattico 2025). The figures should be re-checked against the current Regulations because the programme is recent and Table A may be updated per cohort. 7) NON-EU SELECTION MECHANICS: unlike the Department of Physics call, no explicit scoring grid (points for qualifications, minimum score to reach interview, minimum eligibility score) could be recovered for the Industrial Engineering non-EU call, and it is not certain whether an interview is systematically held or only optional. Treat the interview statement for the non-EU route as inferred. 8) NAME / IDENTITY: the draft entry naming this programme 'Materials Science and Technology' was wrong. The official name is 'Materials Engineering' (IT: Ingegneria dei Materiali), class LM-53, run by the Department of Industrial Engineering. It is a distinct, newer programme from the older UniTrento master 'Materials and Production Engineering', which appears in the academic-offer archive; indexed content indicates the older programme was deactivated and replaced, but the exact year and previous degree class could not be confirmed. There is also a separate UniTrento doctoral programme 'Materials, Mechatronics and Systems Engineering' (42nd cycle, application deadline 30 June 2026) which is NOT this master and should not be conflated with it. 9) LANGUAGE: no mixed English/Italian issue was found - the academic-offer record states 'Programme language: English' and the course page describes it as fully English-taught. The Italian-language department listing at dii.unitn.it displays the programme with Italian page chrome, which is a website-language artefact, not evidence of Italian-language teaching. 10) TUITION: no fee figure is asserted here. Search summarisers returned mutually contradictory maxima (EUR 6,000 vs EUR 10,000 per year for non-EU citizens living abroad) and the official fee tables could not be read directly; only the official fee pages are linked. UniTrento's published model is that first-year fees depend on the admission score and second-year fees on credits earned (with an exemption threshold), but the exact bands were not verifiable.
